  • This week I have been driving the Chevrolet Bolt EUV. This is Chevrolets Electric SUV would you take this over the Tesla Model 3, Bolt EV or IONIQ 5?
While we wait for Chevrolets new Equinox EV we are taking a look at the next best thing the Bolt EUV The exterior looks very compact but I really liked the Electric blue pain colour this one had on it. This premier trim of the EUV has the blacked out badge as well as a Bose sound system a digital rear view camera a 360 degree camera and adaptive cruise control.
The Bolt EUV will give you about 400KM on a single charge as long as conditions are good for it. The interior is very basic but also simple it’s kinda like any normal car the infotainment screen is very big and very easy to use. As soon as you step in the Bolt EUV you know exactly what to do. Although you can tell Chevrolet went the cost savings route with the interior it’s still very comfortable
SUPERCRUISE is amazing on the Bolt EUV and not to mention it’s a slam dunk on Tesla the EUV cost way less than a Tesla and has an auto pilot like feature that works very well

That knob that perplexed you so much is for tuning the radio (You probably know that by now). They just also made it so you could use it as a backup selector in case you have shaky old people hands or your screen gets broken and isnt accepting any inputs from the screens digitalizer. Review is basically on the dot, love my bolt a lot.

I ordered mine just over two weeks ago. I test drove the Hyundai Kona Electric, it wasn’t even close.
I was just fortunate enough to be even able to test drive a Bolt EUV as there are non available in my area. Just so happened, someone traded in a 2022 model.
The wait may kill me. I’m soooo excited!!!

Amazing review. Just subscribed. I have 2 Qs: How much was the car price before incentives? Does the car radio have HD (Hybrid Digital)?

Thanks for checking it out with me and thanks for the sub! the price was around the 47K CAD and I believe it did have the HD

Comparing Super Cruise to FSD is not even a fair comparison. It's apples to oranges, even Tesla's standard Auto Pilot is better.

It is very expensive, and the reality is that you do not save anything in the purchase of this type of car.

Could be very expensive if you don't have government incentives in your area yes!

@@technicallycars Do you know how the supposed credit they give you when you buy one of these cars works? If you know why you don't explain it and so we could understand them better. And according to you, paying $38K is a good price but you can't leave your city, I'm not sure if you mentioned that the range of these cars is like between 20 and 30 miles less for each charge, at least in the places where it does a lot cold.

@@TheEzserg In the US it’s a federal tax incentive that you would file, there is also one for if you purchase a used EV. There’s a lot of different state/private company incentives as well to factor in- over half of the public chargers where I live are free, and the fast charge option (30 minutes) isn’t hard to find either. Some vehicle and electric companies will do free home charger installation too!
Also isn’t the mileage lowered on gasoline/diesel vehicles in cold climates? I don’t know the specifics (ie utilization of internal heating elements, how the mileage loss compares across fuel types, etc) but I think a cold climate is a universal issue. I don’t personally own an EV, but I was surprised to see how far they’ve advanced in affordability, mileage, and accessibility. I drive a dinosaur, so 200+ miles per charge is a big upgrade from my perspective haha
