Understand the feeling hitting road block after road block, those moments are teachable moments. In my career of a commercial driver professional driver not in my vocabulary, after 25 yrs I’m still learning every day. In my line of work each road block I hit learned to stay focused find the solution to the answer and make sure to keep a mental note for the next adventure. You guys got this, stay determined and those W’s be coming in 🏁🏁🏁
Ultra 4 is brutal, and I know of some other driver who have had some heartbreaking issues yet keep pushing on. It’s cool you made a channel, to show the behind the scenes of your program.
The frustration is obvious and yeah it sucks. But I believe you when you say you are gonna figure it out. Your willingness to let fans see all sides, not just the wins, is why you will always have fans backing you up 🤙🏼.
Love seeing these videos. I hate seeing the struggles but it gives guys like me a real look into it all. You will never fully grasp the impact you have on the wheeling/ racing community. I remember reading Four Wheeler magazine when you won Top Truck. I was just a dumb little kid in elementary school obsessed with everything 4x4. Getting to meet you at King of the Hammers was meeting one of the biggest celebrities in the world even if we were both running to work on cars.
Damn Shannon, sorry you are having so much troubles this year. The emotion you showed us heart breaking yet inspiring with the passion you have for this. You and the engine builder will figure this all out and you will build back and be even better

Shannon i have known you since i went to my first event with Paule and the Rock Runner Racing crew. If there is anyone i would put my $$$ on figuring this all out and coming out next year with a vengeance it is you. I have been in that same spot as you with racing and i was so tired of the stupid things taking me out it drove me nuts. We also had years when we were competing rock crawling when the smallest thing took us out and we just kept at it and finally got everything figured out. You got this i know you do.

I'll never forget the time I was working around the Scottsdale Airpark. I heard this crazy screaming engine noise coming from a shop somewhere in the area. Well curiosity got the best of me so I drove around the block and seen your trailer parked on the street. I knew it was your race car as I heard that same crazy scream like a banshee sound that I heard at the Parker 425 race earlier that year(this goes back 10-15 years ago). Nothing sounded like your rig. That was the years you were winning all your Ultra4 races. Hope you get this engine figured out! Fan from Fountain Hills.

@@adamkieffer7583 no the O-ring on my dry brake where you fill it with gas came out of the groove and held the cap open didn’t notice it because it was dark when we fueled it and it fuel slush everywhere filled up the skid plate got a little bit of everywhere lol luckily I didn’t get burnt just put a little singe on my ride
@@neilkirkes yes it is very big, but it does have trap doors built around the pump. I did get a new oil pan that is the same size, but it moved the oil pump closer to the middle of the pan the engine is in their backwards and the pump was at the front of the car so moving it to the middle should help and it does have trap doors all around it
@@neilkirkes yes a dry up. I’ve never used them. It was always too many problems and take up more space. I’ve always had good luck just some learning issues with this big block and yes, it’s the first time I’ve got away from using a stock pan when we were using the LS motor, we used the 9 quart Camaro pan in the sump was in the middle. My cars weren’t designed for a dry sump system so packaging. It would be a disaster. I would want to start over
@@jeepnmello yes I usually don’t like working on dirty shit lol but when I wash it, I can never get it off. It’s coming completely apart easier to wash one piece at a time it’s going to get powder coated, and I was also in a hurry to get the motor to the builder

Look how giant that oil pan is. There is too much room for oil to go away from the pickup.
