Old logger story……… when my dad got out of the army , 1946 . He went falling , fell in the river with the chainsaw , almost drowned trying to save the brand new saw , he lost it . 👍🇨🇦
Your dedication to the lifestyle and preservation of the heritage of the sport is amazing. I appreciate your knowledge and experience. Have a great day
It would be interesting to see how Donny could jet a logger, he’d prolly get him working just right….I’d think he’d have to fuel the logger with the right amount and kind of foods to allow a perfect mix of fast burning calories and calories that would last a long time for a full days work without bonking.
Haha your funny, always make me giggle "one day I'll figure out how to live feed video". You're a walking encyclopaedia guru on engines. You & I have to ask the youngsters about that other digital technology 😅, cheers from NZ.
Donny.....you know you have me as a life customer. There is no one else who I would trust with my saws. Your approach makes total sense. Would love to hear the interviews with loggers! Bless you all🙏❤️
Great video :) Love the NEW 390 case / crank's must have been a reason they went to that effort to redesign that connecting rod :) Building a work saw 390 on a set of new cases this week for a guy. SOME day I need to get a 660 though to build. Didn't mine the vibration, in fact love the "solid" feel of those hockey puck anti vib Stihl's . 585 is a nice replacement to 390's, love mine. ( wonder if it's worth trying to graft the 592 top end on a 585 )
Yeah Donny, I got severe carpal tunnel running Stihl saws, switched to Husky and have zero issues. Upgraded over 12 months with the 572XP and 592XP. Kept my 372 and 461 for backup. Talked your brother John, what do you think of a ported 592? Cheers.
It’s funny how that switched up. My first saw was a Husqvarna 281 XP and it vibrated badly. If you sat it idling on a stump it didn’t stay there long. I started having a little trouble with numbness in my hands in the morning, and one of my fingers would lock shut. I switched to a Stihl 064 and the problem went away. I quit falling timber and was in the Coast Guard for a few years and when I got out, I ended up getting a 394 XP and was amazed how smooth it was.
Your family's legacy with the logging legacy documentary would be the absolute best.
Buckin sent me over and ordered me to subscribe to your channel lol
