This was probably the most hectic week of my life but proud of what the lads got done! Thank you to everyone who donated their time to help, donated funds, watching this video.. Still can't believe we tackled what looked impossible. Barbara is in high spirits, can't imagine how the week must of felt for her.

Barbara was all dressed up and pretty in red with shiny red nails for the grand finale. Looking lovely. You could see it in her how much this meant to her. You guys did an awesome job and I am sure Barbara has so much gratitude for how much this will change her life.

Wouldnt it be fabulous if an interior group volunteered to help Barbara with her housework and decoration to make the most of her beautiful watertight exteriors.

I was going to say the same.
Owners are happy to have others work on a overgrown yard, but may not feel comfortable having help for neglected areas inside. I was hoping she would accept help, to clean and dry up the leaky roof room.
Barbara, on the first day, was very quiet, stooped over a bit, and just not sure if they would finish the job. In the middle, she was standing a bit taller and seemed a little brighter. On the last day, she stood so tall and bright and cheery. Ben, you and the crew did wonders on the house and on Barbara. Truly wonderful!
Would love if someone could work with the lovely Barbara to clean, organize, and decorate her quaint little cottage. What your team has done is nothing short of miraculous!
I am looking forward to a new adventure with Peggy.

Seeing this, I appreciate my sister all the more.. She's 91, been a widow 34yrs and keeps her house immaculate. Her section is 1/2 acre and she mows her own lawns and does her own gardens.. My sister is a marvel 😊

"Unbelievable!" You most likely saved another elder from clinic depression and an early death. You could see Barbara slowly begin to come alive. I must say, this was the best transformation to date. I hope you can find another one as challenging as this one was. God Bless You and all who helped with this project, to include, Barbara.
Dear Ben, it brings tears of joy to see everyone pitching in to help a lovely lady who has paid her taxes and was let down by the local Council. Let’s focus on the positive and look at what humanity offers to those most in need. God bless everyone involved and helping Barbara.🇹🇷
Paying taxes does not qualify private house owners to receive a property maintenance service from their local council. That service is reserved for rent-paying, social-housing tenants and comes out of their rent.
I appreciate your response, but I strongly believe that the local council has a responsibility to assist vulnerable residents like Barbara. It's reasonable to assume that they have contingency funds for emergencies like this. However, it seems that the council's priorities are misplaced, as they are more concerned with attending non-essential training such as learning newly-established pronouns. This is unacceptable, and I urge them to prioritize the needs of their residents over less urgent matters.
By Local Authority I thought they meant social services. In this day and age old people should not be allowed to end up in that state. Don't you think? y@@jeanbell7922
There is a place for charitable action from private citizens, businesses and organizations and this is a good example of that. As another commenter said, this is a privately owned home on privately held property and government can only do so much. We all have the capacity to step up in our own personal lives and help others.
@@jeanbell7922 what do you have against property owners? She payed taxes her whole life and what does she get in return? Be ashamed of yourself.
My faith in humanity gets restored a little each time i watch your videos.

@FlawlessCleaningServices I was a landscaper in the 80's before I joined the military so can appreciate the graft that goes into reclaiming a garden.
Sadly a spinal injury (Iraq) has me reduced to a postage stamp size garden these days.
But, watching what you do is heart-warming, thank you

The thing is when you get old you are forgotten. Some think oh she won’t be around that long anyway so why bother or there are so many to help. I am 72 and recently disabled. I have always taken care of everything and now it is a struggle to get to the bathroom. I worry that my house and yard will fall to disrepair. I am lucky that I have 2 caring children but it was very hard to ask for help. I can keep the inside clean but the yard is a different story. I don’t expect that my house will be kept up the way I kept it but I hope to keep the boat floating😉. Barbara seems to have been left on her own for many years. When I see some of the cleaning videos like Clean with Barbie I see there are so many leading desperate lives. My admiration for people like Ben, his dad, volunteers and donators who can see and help; one person at a time also gives me hope in humanity.❤️
That barbara was left and forgotten about to get into this sorry state was heartbreaking. But to see her home watertight and now somewhere that will be warmer for her may just give her the lift so badly missing from her life. There are more forgotten people in this country than people would think. Im am so glad you helped another.
Dear Ben and Dad! Thank you so much for sharing Barbara’s journey with us. This series meant so much to me, a middle age woman from the southern US. You see, I am caring for my mother who is 95. She wishes to continue living in her home until she passes and my sibling and I are working to making this possible for her.
This is the side of Britain that we need to show off more, we should be mightily proud of all those who have contributed to this particular job (and many others!). Shout out to Harry's - well done for turning out and giving your help. Let's share it with as many as possible and show those who keep trying to divide us that they will not succeed. Well done Ben and Pa!

Shows that the care / carer who visits isn't doing what we'd expect! (but then Barbara may not want her to do anything cleaning or tidying).
I thought the same when I saw her sink and the clutter around the house.
I think she might have hoarder tendencies, I think Norman did too. Hopefully they are both offered care and therapy for it, as hoard and filth usually are symptoms of depression and other mental health issues. They both deserve to live in dignity and peace.
@@Ms.Greenleaf i think hoarding is a sign of experiencing poverty. because evey thing that you throw away might have some value to it so mentally its painful to throw something away.
@@cj.wijtmans For sure! I wanted to keep it short, but yes experiencing poverty is definitely something that can cause long-lasting trauma. It can get you stuck in constant survival mode of not being able to throw away something that might be "useful" or "valuable" (to yourself or others) later on.. It's seems to be a common childhood experience for many of those who suffer from hoarding disorder, similar to other types of traumatic experiences such as loss, abandonment or abuse. Apparently she has social workers visiting twice a week, I really hope they are giving her the care she needs.
New windows make such a difference in how the house feels inside and out, especially inside. It's quieter, warmer, dryer and feels so much safer. Much love to your whole crew!

You guys have done a truly phenomenal job, thank goodness for people like you. Now, wouldn’t it be great if the obsessive compulsive cleaning team that helps hoarders could come in to help Barbara with the interior, she truly deserves it!
Barbara's inner joy shone through her smile. A home she gave up trying to save since that dreadful tree disaster which caused so much damage. Wow, the house looks gorgeous already compared to before scenes. A spot of paint, some new curtains for her. Some repairs to her concrete. I am sure some of the inside will need repairs in the rooms that suffered water damage. I bet Barbara will slowly clean up her house and once again take pride because her spirits have been lifted by the generosity of everyone who chipped in to help her. These kinds of efforts give proof that people still do care and gives all of us who watch it the belief we can all make a difference in this world. May Flawless Cleaning Services Ben and his dad including all those selfless businesses who helped Barbara, be blessed with people flocking to their businesses to buy their services and products because supporting small family businesses help their communities and keeps jobs and money in their local communities.

All of your work and collaboration with other professionals blows me away. The final landscaping and power washing just overwhelms me to my bones.. knowing that there are new windows (OMG), fixed and cleaned roof, cleaned drainage eaves, etc., etc. You and your folks are amazing. Thank you!

I'd like to express something we didn't hear the recipient of all this wonderful free work say... Thank You all very very much! Maybe she did off camera but can't imagine it being edited out. ❤
I'm pretty sure she has mental health problems. You have to cut her some huge slack. My mum is in a nursing home with dementia. She doesn't speak and can't do a thing for herself. She doesn't know who I am. 'Once a man/woman, twice a child'........and believe me it is exactly like that. Think adult diapers. You can't impose your standards on the elderly. With all the drugs they take etc and the brain malfunction of old age, the two just don't marry up.
It seems to me that there are mental issues involved here, so her responses are not what one would normally expect.
@@colleenoehme240 Thanks, I understand where you're coming from. I have worked a long time in mental health. Even severe dementia patients say thank you when given something. It's some of the very first words we learn in life as infants, ingrained in us. Anyway, I have great respect and admiration for the Flawless team and their helpers. Great job guys! ❤

Thanks to their collective dedication, Barbara now enjoys a beautifully restored home and property, along with a fresh start in life.
