I have a honda cr-v touring 2016, I was crash from behind, took the car to repair, and when they give back to me the keyless sign was on, do you think if the crash was on the back of the car, have to be something with this light on my dash?
Q: 2018 Honda HRV takes about three times pressing the Start button for it to turn on. This doesn’t happen all the time. Intermittent. I used my code, not dealer, reader and no codes. You think the Start/Stop button module needs be replaced ?
First of all turning ON of ignition switch using start/stop button requires to press two times or a one long press about 2-3 seconds to turn it ON. To start, just press your brake pedal and simply press your start/stop switch button to crank until it starts for about 2-3 seconds. That’s how it works. Now, if you are experiencing any malfunction without DTC and intermittent like what you’ve said, it maybe needed to reset. If the problem is still there, you need to bring your car to the dealership for them to conduct troubleshooting. In my experience, there are only two most common cause of malfunction of ignition system. These are start/stop switch button and body control module. It is always depend on diagnosis result.
You mean you replaced dashboard assembly? or you just removed and fixed back? Either way, disconnecting connectors, battery power, will require you to reset various control units and then perform initialization. You need HDS or OBD tool to erase if there are DTC then reset. It is possible to perform initialization manually.
@@generescudero9492 ok thanks the airbag blow on mine after a tree fell in the car decided to replace it my self and finished it up and seen that error. I also have my Srs module out at the moment when it’s getting reset is that maybe a reason?
@@Kawsnfriends For your SRS malfunction indicator light, It doesn’t need a reset. Whenever there are DTC for SRS, the only way you can fix is first, erase the DTC-if the same DTC comes on, then proceed troubleshooting to it’s given DTC. What inflator has been blown-up? driver side? passenger side? or side airbag? if multiple inflator blew-up, you have to replace srs control unit too. is your horn still working? if not, you have to replace also the cable reel.
Hi sir, yes i am dealing with 3 body electrical DTCs here. One of them is loose contact of connector pin and that can be consider as incomplete circuit.

Which part of the car got damaged from the crash? If your scanner doesn’t communicate to the system, check the wirings affected by collision and the fuses as well specially the fuses of communication lines. Make sure also that your scanner is capable and updated. If it so, then proceed first to DLC troubleshooting procedure. It is very important to get all the DTCs using scanner, otherwise you’ll have to find the problem blindfolded.
@@jonathanrabadan5273 Since that was being serviced in honda dealership, you have updated HDS, Gold technicians, All the tools you need, Dealer instructor and access to MARIS website. i think you have everything you need to fix the problem. But anyway, i will still give you additional tech support. Fixing new ECU requires immobilizer and keyless entry registration using separate icon from the HDS screen. Don’t try to open HDS icon because you cannot connect of course you have new ECM/PCM instead go to separate new immobilizer set-up. From there, the HDS will give you instructions step by step. Its more on the series of IG ON and OFF. Make sure your battery has enough charge and 1,16,and specially S-NET pin has correct voltage present from your DLC otherwise again you still have to perform DLC troubleshooting. Good luck bro you can fix that..

yes Mam it’s possible because you also have latch, sensor and switch inside your trunk. only if your trunk has damage too.

Is was on front and I replace the engine fuse box complete from the Honda dealer else new engine ecu
