    I feel like this is a bunch of stolen googled results. It doesn't actually tell you how to disable the immobilizer.

    My Honda is 20 years old. I want the immobilizer gone. If the key fits, I want it to start. I think this chip in the key immobilizer BS is corporate planned obsolescence. My car won't start because it thinks I'm a thief, and that's a daily occurrence.
    "Perfectly maintained car won't start??? Maybe you should get a new one."

    If your your green key light is flashing first try seeing if your "ACGS" fuse needs replaced. If fuse is good you can program your keyfob by putting key in ignition turn to 2nd "on" position then click "unlock" on key fob then wait 1 second then turn to off then wait 1 second and repeat 4 times, you'll hear doors unlock when it works..
    This helped for a 2009 Honda pilot

      Can the same key be “reprogrammed”?
      Car was parked a year. Drove it. Took battery out to fix some for 3 days.
      Then this issue appeared.
      Fuse was a little smoked but worked, also replaced.
      Had the same.
      After two weeks, car started good and shut off after a few tries.
      But after driving for a 1-2 hours in my long driveway now it seems good

    What if your ‘98 Accord LX only has the og hard key with the little chip in it? My green key light blinks 5-6 times when I turn it over and then goes off. The strange thing is that if my check engine light doesn’t come on guaranteed it will not start. It’s weird. But, in one forum they mentioned the relay just above the foot rest Honda has so your left foot is behaving itself. There’s a small fuse box with a couple relays and a couple fuses, I believe, but it’s covered so you have to remove the panel underneath the steering column and then that gives you access to the screws for that box, and inside is the main relay. I read that Honda’s relays in the 6 generation are crap and they get hot and the solder cracks causing them to misbehave, and since that’s kind an important part, it’s worth a look. The strange thing is the mechanic said that if you can’t replace it immediately and need to make some moves just slap the box with your foot and it sometimes corrects the problem. Well, it corrects that problem every single time I smack the box cover with the side of my shoe. Sometimes it requires a second attempt if my first attempt is all wonky and lame. I swear. I was getting desperate. Already spent $300 getting a locksmith to replace the ignition switch because it was supposedly faulty which caused a problem with the Immobilizer. Didn’t help a damn bit. I was just a tad irked. Dude won’t even give me a discount on a spare key and mine are the old cheaper hard ones that look like they don’t even have a chip in them (they do, I asked the proper person, Honda). I actually think it’s a bit of all of the above. The relay is connected with the ignition and Immobilizer and it controls the fuel pump. Hmm… so it’s likely that sometimes it operates exactly as it should and sometimes you gotta give it a little side foot English. I’m gonna replace the relay either way because it’s a well known nuisance for us Honda owners. My Accord barely has 130K on it. It run exceptionally well except for the not starting/engine cutting off while in motion (same symptom basically although one is far more dangerous if it occurs on the freeway when your doing 80 in traffic in the fast lane and all of a sudden your car is dead and it’s an automatic so in the middle of soiling your board shorts, you have to wrestle with the no longer power steering and try to not get mashed by anyone who’s changing the station, looking at their phone, talking to someone in the passenger seat or rear seat by stupidly actually turning their dumbass head around. Anyway, needless to say, I was freaked out and super pissed at that locksmith. What seems to make the most sense is that the relay is crappy and failing (a well known problem) and it happens to be connected through the ignition switch to the Immobilizer which in turn sends a signal that I’m ripping off my own ride and cuts off the fuel, a super effective deterrent to the Bad Guys, which ain’t me. Sheesh, there’s so many videos and forum posts dedicated to this exact topic and there seems to be 3 different conclusions, 1) the relay is crap 2) the fuel pump needs replaced and, 3) the Immobilizer has it’s panties in a bunch for whatever reason no one seems to have a clear understanding of. Awesome… Good luck, peeps. Try the left foot dealio first. It’s free!

    • @MyMomsADadNow
      @MyMomsADadNow 11 месяцев назад +4

      You can't. The car needs to recognize the transponder in the key in order to start and the key has to be programmed with a scan tool in order to be recognized. There is no way to disable the immobilizer system on these cars because it communicates with the PCM (the engine computer) and they have to recognize eachother on the network they communicate on. This video is a bunch of garbage.

    Honda Motors has a big problem with the anti theft systems as early as '99. The solution of using the drivers side door lock is not a sure thing. My Honda alarms and anti-theft will continue to go off intermittently until the battery either runs down or is unhooked. I have been locked in my car with horn honking lights flashing , unable to remove the key from the ignition. Going off every ten minutes and dealerships will not fully warranty their work and won't tell anyone how to disconnect the anti-theft system . The car is useless to a 76 year old woman. Sometimes it doesn't restart for hours.

    A little falsehood about the "smart keys" being more secure. Since NOW they are the LEAST secure. A physical key with rfid is the most secure currently.
    Also I think this dood is confusing the immobilizer with the content theft alarm system. Both completely independent of each other.
    And this has nothing to do with disabling the immobilizer. I think this video is kinda rubbish
