This is exactly what I was looking for! Gonna travel for 5 days to Montreal and this itinerary is perfect, including a day trip to Quebec City! Thank you for sharing! 🤩
This is an amazing video, I did not expect to fully watch a video made by someone with below 2k subscribers. Very underrated creator. Kudos to you! Preps me nicely for the Montreal visit.
@@annietimeanniewhere12 You summed it up pretty well. I would only add to go enjoy the amazing bagels from Fairmount or St-Viateur bagel shops. If you enjoy music, there is also a TON of free music shows/festivals to enjoy during the summer in the Place des Arts area.
Thank you for your nice visit of my home town. Next time, you could climb Mont Royal to see the view of the city. There are some nice parks like Parc Lafontaine. Oh ! In Quebec city, there a great restaurant next to Chateau Frontenac called "Anciens canadiens". It's the building with the red roof in your video. The food is prepared in the old fashion style. And don't forget their mapple pie !
Very nice video! One question: did you shoot the drone images yourself or were you using images from some other source? I am asking because I am traveling there the first time and I am wanting to take my drone with me. Thanks
I stayed at a BNB by the Montreal museum of fine arts and the Guy Concordia bus/subway which was super convenient! It was 10-15min to central downtown Montreal/old Montréal and also accessible to nearby spots on my itinerary (plateau mont royal, st Joseph's oratory)
Not particularly! We stayed by Concordia university which was just on the outskirts of downtown Montreal so everything was still very accessible by transit!
There are many affordable and reliable airbnbs just outside of old Montreal which I would recommend looking at! Ours was just by the George’s vanier station
Hello. Can you please share what month you visited? We are thinking about visiting this April, but we are a bit concerned about the weather if it's going to be too rainy and too cold to stroll around.
I’m from Montreal and suggest that you avoid april. Can be cold, rainy and and the buds are not out, no flower beds … it’s not a good month to visit Montreal. Plus the city is a little bit dirty from winter thaw. May, june, september and october are the best months. July is OK too but can be very hot and humid and there’s lots of tourists.
How much Quebecois do you speak? How difficult is it if you can read French but not understand rapid speech? Can you recommend a resource for simple travel-ready Quebecois? Our party has various levels of Parisian French understanding. Thank you.
I don't speak any french actually, only basic terms and phrases so it was difficult to understand rapid speech, this was the case on Quebec only. In Montreal, it's more common for people to speak and understand English if that is what you're more comfortable with Unfortunately I don't have resources for travel ready quebecois on hand, but there should be plenty online!
Just wondering if you had any issues with communicating in English there? I heard multiple stories of people getting upset if you didn't speak french. I'm travelling to Montreal with a friend next month and we both don't speak french am really worried about it.
In Montreal, no issues as most people spoke English too! In Quebec however, it's less common for them to speak English so it may be a bit more difficult to communicate there
Yes, the direct bus is the 747 bus right at the airport! It's an $11 ticket, valid for 24hours, I believe it's separate to the weekly passes actually. The airport fare is different from regular fare
For posterity : You can use any of the passes for the 747, except the Evening Unlimited. So : 24h Zone A 3-days Zone A Weekend Unlimited (Friday 4PM to Sunday 11:59 PM, all network) Weekly/Monthly Pass Zone A If you do not take the 747, you can use a regular $3.50 Zone A ticket.

I'm so sorry for Canada. Most things about a good Canada are not true, Including clean cities - beaches, and forests. It's a big lie. The first time I arrived in Vancouver in 2018, I was shocked. As soon as I left the airport door, I saw tissue, disposable glasses, and other garbage left in the city. The further I went, the more I saw them. Before I moved to Canada, I lived in Georgia, Armenia, Turkey, Serbia, The United States, and for a short time in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Netherlands, Germany, and England, but I have never seen the amount of garbage that people leave in different Canadian cities. Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, and Quebec are no less than Vancouver. Canadian and Canada Governments don't care about this tragedy. I think everything that says about Canada as a clean and powerful culture is not true. You don't need to travel to Canada to see this. Just watch some videos about walking in downtown Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, and Quebec. You will find the truth. Impossible for you to walk in a Canadian city and you don't see the dark side of that. Everywhere you will see garbage. You will never see this in Europe, Australia, the United States, Japan, and Korea. This amount of waste is not even seen in Malaysian, Indonesian, or Thailand cities. It is impossible for you to use public transport and not see a lot of garbage at stations or on the route. You will be surprised to find a lot of garbage even in the woods - by the rivers and on the beaches in Canada. I wish the Canadians woke up and had no enmity with their country. To be fair, I randomly looked at videos from downtown Manchester and Concord in New Hampshire - Philadelphia - Detroit - Chicago - New York - Baltimore - Denver - Nashville, and Knoxville in the United States, and Toronto - Quebec - Montreal - Winnipeg - Calgary - Vancouver - Victoria - Ottawa and Thunder Bay in Canada. we should be fair. The bitter truth must be accepted. Without any exaggeration. Completely impartial. I have to say that I didn't see a single piece of garbage in any of the US videos to convince myself. Without exaggeration, in all Canadian cities, there must have been a piece of garbage on the ground less than every hundred meters. It must have an important reason. I do not know. But this is a bitter truth. You can try. This country should be brought closer to its exaggerated claim. the truth is bitter. Certainly, some Asian countries such as Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and even Malaysia are much cleaner compared to Canada. Of course, we should not forget that Canada claims to be one of the 10 cleanest countries in the world. And Vancouver claims to be one of the 5 cleanest cities in the world. Please go to East Hastings or Victoria Drive or Commercial Drive or West Georgia or Broadway or Main Street and judge for yourself. I am 50 years old and have traveled to 26 countries. Canada is far from its claims. I saw, homeless people, pooping and peeing everywhere and it's so common. nobody cares. I was shocked again. I endured for 3 years but every day going worst. late in 2022, I decided to move to the east because I thought that place has a stronger culture. I chose Montreal. I had heard it is the capital of art and civilization in Canada. it was absolutely wrong. Canada is Canada. I was shocked again, again, and again. the wave of homelessness, graffiti, vandalism, bad smell, terrible infrastructure especially roads in or out of the city, and above all, you can see trash everywhere. plastic bags, tissues, water bottles, and disposable cups. You cannot see any street or park or public place without these. This is impossible. surprisingly nobody cares. neither the people nor the government!!!!!!! please, don't be fooled by the advertisement about a good Canada. please, be careful. most of the things about a good Canada are deception This country is disappointing. Please, Please, Please, don't immigrate to Canada you would regret it absolutely. this is not a developed country, Canada is a developing country with huge serious problems.

Through bus company Orleans Express
Very nice video! One question: did you shoot the drone images yourself or were you using images from some other source? I am asking because I am traveling there the first time and I am wanting to take my drone with me. Thanks
I actually didn’t have any drone shots at all in this video! I would recommend taking a look at the Montreal drone laws before your trip! 😊
Do you recommended areas for AirBNB? Travelling with my folks so distance to transport is important. Thanks! Great video.

Hi
Can you tell me what boat cruise was that and how much was it and the duration?
Lovely video! Thank you.
Le Bateau Mouche, 60min for $26CAD per person. They have many cruises with various durations and some includes picnic food or a nice dinner as well!
❤❤❤
Hi, any recommendation for Airbnb place?
Not particularly! We stayed by Concordia university which was just on the outskirts of downtown Montreal so everything was still very accessible by transit!
What bus/company did ya'll use to go to Quebec City?
Orléans express!
Hi, which part of the city were you staying when you were there?
We stayed by the Concordia university, just outside Old Montreal 8min drive or 15-20minute transit only!
Was 1 day to Quebec enough to explore it and do the falls and come back in the same day by bus?
It was a bit short, I think 2 days would be better!
Fun fact: Quebec City is the only city in North America to have preserved its fortifications
Is that all their is to do there is food and shopping?
No there’s so much more attractions, sight seeing, cultural experiences!
Are the dumplings in Vancouver more or less expensive than the ones in Montreal?
More expensive than this specific place
Technically the two cities should be similar pricing
Nice
How do you get around? Taxi?
We took Uber few times but mainly took the transit system with their Opus card which is very convenient!
how was your airbnb? would you share it?
There are many affordable and reliable airbnbs just outside of old Montreal which I would recommend looking at! Ours was just by the George’s vanier station
ok thank you :)
