      Thank you! I appreciate you watching 🙏🏽. From your point of view, What would you consider to be a hidden gem in the city ??

    • @Skatrine
      @Skatrine 8 месяцев назад +2

      Well, it's not hidden, but the bike paths along both rivers are really beautiful and pleasant to bike on, and they're quite extensive. If you want to rent a BIXI, might as well pay the monthly subscription of $20. It gives you unlimited and free access to bikes for as long as you want. You just have to dock it every 45 minutes to start a new free ride. It's great! Just remember to cancel the subsequent month. You can also take an electric bike if you want to take it easy, but there are no free rides on those.

    • @travels_wright
      @travels_wright  8 месяцев назад +1

      I feel that’s a great recommendation as well! I’m sure there’s a lot to see along these paths 👍🏾. I was aware of the bixi system but I actually didn’t know there was a monthly subscription. That is a very useful tip

    So happy that RUclips recommended your GR8 channel!👍🏼 New subbie here😀 YT suggested you while I was researching certain aspects of Montréal, where I haven't traveled since 2019. I used to visit there 2x a year, but I need a refresh because I'm headed back to that beautiful city really soon.
    Thanks for recommending Old Montréal, when some travel hosts poo-poo the area as being touristy. Well, I don't mind the touristy elements because I focus on the history and architecture. And I loooove the restos, bakeries and historic houses that are museums much worth visiting. The Old Port is wonderful, including the lookout and la Grande Roue. That Ferris wheel was constructed for Montréal's 175th birthday in 2017 -- and I missed several chances to ride it before the pandemic, so I'll remedy that this spring.❤🎡❤
    Other neigborhoods that I must visit again are le Plateau, la Petite Italie? la Petite Patrie, NDG, Hochelaga et Griffintown. I hope I have time to revisit Atwater market and to see the beautiful animals and marine life i side of the Biodôme.
    Merci!✌🏼

      Thank you! Very much appreciated . For the Christmas season, I believe (La Grande Roue) is still open so this could be a nice activity to take part in. I would also visit the Biodôme as it’s indoor. Place ville Marie is normally nicely decorated with lights during this time of year and also has a connection to the underground mall in case you want to do some shopping. I also uploaded a video on my channel on some interesting restaurants to visit as well. See the link here : ruclips.net/video/gskYBO0V3Uo/видео.htmlsi=RcVlOnugg8EU3z4r
      Hope you have a fantastic visit to Montreal 🙌🏾

      Hello!
      Thanks for watching the video ! Can I ask which outings you were looking to visit? We are now in March so the city is coming out of the colder months. A lot of the indoor attractions should still be accessible however. Believe it or not, even the Ferris Wheel should also be open. Let me know 👍🏾

    Où se trouve l'Université du Québec à Montréal dans la ville?

      @travels_wright  14 дней назад

      À côté de Mont Royal. Il ya une entrée sur Avenue Decelles, mais il ya plusieurs campus.

    Can we still visit these places in fall or winter?

    • @travels_wright
      @travels_wright  7 месяцев назад +2

      Yes! A lot of the indoor activities are still open. Even the Ferris wheel for example is still open. Before picking a location, just do a quick google search before going just to confirm the opening the respective locations. I also just did a video on places to eat in Montreal. Feel free to also check it out: ruclips.net/video/gskYBO0V3Uo/видео.htmlsi=IseO09IYSVknHpek

    Nice video well done,however you forgot to point out the traffic congestion nightmare. Also did you edit out the Orange Cones ?. Montreal is famous for its orange cones and pot holes.😢

      Yah, I call it the orange circus as I struggle to get away from rue Ste-Catherine as I walk from west to east. Single-file walking makes me fume, BUT I respect the city's need to fix its streets and do renovations. And I do love rue Ste-Catherine still.💕

    Montreal is overrated, and English is not considered an official language.

      2 questions 😅. In your opinion, why is Montreal overrated and how does the province’s official language play a role in the overall experience you will have in the city?
