Boys, when they step out of line, get punched in the face.
We get physically beat up by our peers or older role models- and we learn consequences.

@@John-gt6xq I see such comments literally everywhere - so here's some facts:
Women do get *harsher* sentences than men do, not the other way 'round.
Even in cases (and they make up the vast majority) where it was clearly self defence.
Men who kill their spouses get an average of only 2 to 6(!) years, while women get an average of 15(!) years.
And all this despite the fact that around 90% of all violent crime gets comitted by males - not females - and the ones comitted by women often are in self defense (not this case here, obviously, but in general).
So you see, people like you just should simply come to terms that they're just simply misogynists and liars.
This stuff is sad enough - nobody needs even more hate and lies.

Edit 2: See my other comment below for various sources backing every single claim I've made (too many guys seem triggered by the truth, as usual).

an accident is an accident. Too easy to convict.
Prosecutor convicted her because she pre planned a route & some bogus proof the pedal was floored at some point before impact???
Even if it was, & even if they could prove it was (id have to see evidence) but even if thats true, there are mane examples of drivers thinking they were pushing brake pedal when really pushing on gas pedal .

If there is any doubt that it wasnt intentional.
If i were on the jury, id need video evidence of her saying she was going to do that exact thing at that exact place or something concrete.
Otherwise , they have to prove she did it on purpose.

I know what they're going through. I buried my son 10 years the 24th of this month. It doesn't get better, your mind and heart just learns a new way of living. A "new mormal." There will always be reminders that sneak up on you. Eventually you learn how to live with it - but you never get over it. Holidays, birthdays, anniversaries of special events, and of their death, in some instances, days such as Memorial Day, Flag Day, Armed Forces Day, and Veteran's Day are triggers. And always you have to expect a sneak attack brought on by memories triggered by a song on the radio, a story, or a phone call from one of their friends. Or a post like this. But you have to learn to "hide" the pain, the grief, the loss, the feeling of numbness, or you'll never get out of bed. You'll never be able to function again.
These families, any family that loses a child, need all the prayers we can give them. For peace, for understanding (which I still haven't reached), and that this tragedy doesn't tear their families apart. That is not an uncommon result of this type of traumatic event.
I don't know if you wanted to know this much, I'm glad you had no idea. Hopefully you'll never have a friend or family member go through this. But if you do, please remember this _ please, please don't ever say "He/She's in a better place," or "God needed him/her more than you/we did." I know these are "popular" sympathetic remarks, but the only ones those help are the speakers. The best thing you can do is tell them you're praying for them, you're there for anything they may need, let me help with meals, something along those lines. And please don't forget them after the funeral. Everyone goes back to their everyday routine after the b service, but the parents and siblings go back tobsn empty, hideously quiet house. Check on them. Call them. Drop in with a soda they like. Take a ride in the country. And please, let them talk. They need someone who will listen.
I'm sorry. I don't mean to sound as if I'm lecturing or preaching. Fortunately, you don't know what they're going through. I can't describe it, really. But this was the best I could do after listening to the post and reading some of the responses.
