    Can we just appreciate imamu's hard work. I tried cooking during my days off. The amount of effort and hours in just doing grocery, preparing the ingredients, the cooking, and the cleaning after is immense. Although the experience is really rewarding but still, after that, I decided to just keep being a working lady and get food deliveries. Lol

    • @botanicalitus4194
      @botanicalitus4194 3 года назад +139

      yeah, honestly being a housewife is more work than 99% of jobs that working people do. People always think that housewives are just "spoiled" and lazy, and the husbands do all the hard work but in reality its the opposite: housewives work 24/7 and dont even get paid, whereas working husbands only work on average 40 hours a week and they get paid and they get all their food and stuff prepared for them.
      Personally I prefer to work, but I have a lot of respect for housewives bc most people would not be able to work as hard as them

      @@botanicalitus4194 hmm idk about that but ur free 2 have ur opinion I would love 2 be at home making chores and so on but reality is u have a whole day doing things how u want it to do this is literally more freedom as working full time (sry for my bad english) what I‘m trying 2 say being at home is great and wonderful if u have kids and ur partner can pay for it all alone but bruuh working full time vs full time housekeeper and last one is the difficult one of them I guess we live on separate planets

    • @nikdavid907
      @nikdavid907 3 года назад +8

      Literally one has 2 give in for the system to be a slave of it while the other has the freedom to enjoy themself that’s how things work and blabbering about how hard that life is is just being whiny as it’s finest I mean she does those things literally out of the respect for her husband working his ass off and thus she’s trying her best 2 make him comfortable at work and off work and I think that’s beautiful buuuuut plz never say that again that the job of a housewife is harder then 99% of the jobs u clearly never worked or had a job I mean did u ever finished a 12 h shift and u compare this 2 doing chores shiet single people do all that alone and go to work

    • @nikdavid907
      @nikdavid907 3 года назад +3

      Sry if I got offensive didn’t mean it but ur view of things just triggered the fk outta me
      Not just as men making for a living and paying rent + doing chores all by myself I just found that very offensive for all the people who do those things and have no one making those things easier at home
      Little side note: I know being full time mommy at home is very hard but u just can’t compare this to the mental stress and most of the time also physically exhausting activities from work u just can’t been there done it so I can say that !!!!!

    • @vicky4912
      @vicky4912 3 года назад +101

      @@nikdavid907 imagine thinking a stay at home wife has more freedom than a person who only works 8 hours a day. Like they said stay at home wives are on the clock 24/7 doing unpaid labor for typical ungrateful husbands that believe their work is way harder. You get time off she won’t get time off because being a stay at home wife and mother is a full time job

    This is amazing!! I am NOT a morning person (nor is my husband, but he does contracting and has forced himself to get used to the waking up at 7am schedule) we both thrive at like 12am lol. Now the older we've gotten the more we've started to get tired around 11pm - 12am. I always make his lunches to bring the next morning the night before such as cashew chicken dish, lasagnas, fried rice + potstickers etc but man, if i could wake up at 6am and make food, that opens up a whole new variety to make because of freshness, but ya'll, I can't do 6am. I may intend to make a gorgeous ham cutlet but there might be a shoe in it instead because Im half awake 😂

    • @maroon3973
      @maroon3973 Год назад

      I'm not a morning person either but due to me having to go to work and kids who sometimes prefer to bring their own meal rather than buying, I force myself (😂) to cook lunch for us to bring to work/school.
      To make things easier and faster I usually do a meal-prep the night before. I'll seasoned/marinated the proteins and keep them in tightly shut containers in the fridge, prepare and boil/steam the veggies and keep them in the fridge too, prepare some broth if we want soupy meals for our packed lunch. It'll be much easier in the morning to just fry or grill the already seasoned proteins and make some soup to go coz I've prepared them all the night before.

    I have always been a very bad cook, I burn things and don't know what to do if I don't have a recipe. I waste ingredients and money because things I make turn out so bad. It came to the point where I just didn't even try anymore. I watch so many cooking videos but nothing motivated me. But Imamu, your videos inspired me to try to cook again finally. I started last week. Today I cut an onion for the first time in my life! And I am 30 years old... uuuu T_T Haha, anyway the meal turned out great and I shared with my mom, so thank you for sharing your cooking videos~~ I think I will keep up and be healthier by cooking my own food!!!

      Awesome job! It's never too late to start learning to cook so don't feel bad about starting late or anything else! Improvement always takes a while but it's always worth it! ^^ Keep it up!

    I don’t know why but when I saw her eating the egg whites that she had trimmed off, I suddenly wanted to cry. That image reminds me so much of my mom, always saving the best for my dad and us children whereas she never got anything nice for herself…

    my mom (a Peruvian immigrant, we live in the states now) bought a huge wok SOLELY for the purpose of making big batches of chaufa.
    In Peru, before and during the world wars (91th-20th centuries) it just wasn't big enough to be valuable or threatening to either side, so it was kinda just a bystander to the wars, and as a result, saw a lot of East Asian immigration. So over time Peruvian cooking blended into the flavors and preparation methods the immigrants brought with them, which resulted in "Chifa" today's word for a kind of cuisine where Peruvian and East Asian food comes together. My grandfather and I went to one such Chifa restaurant (this kind of cooking replaces the western world's "Chinese Restaurants" they're easy to find, especially in big cities like Arequipa or Lima) last summer, and he told me that it's been run by 4 generations of one family now, and is over 60 years old, bc he remembers his parents taking him there when he was just a boy of 15.
    Chaufa is our fried rice, simply put. and its INSANELY good!

    I miss the end of the week dinner you have with your beautiful family, but I understand we can't have it all all the time. I hope your weekend made up for your bad week. We all have bad days, it's part of life. We just learn from them and keep it going. Take care hun. God bless you and your precious family that I have grown to love like if you were my own. ❤❤❤

    The new bento box is beautiful! I feel that square is easier to work with than oval, as well.

    Secondly! It made me laugh that I watch these only to go home and cook the New Mexican food I always cook haha. But such great ideas!! I have to try sometime.
