What I have loved the most about this series is that you show what cooking is really like. You just go for it and it's not some picture perfect process. So many times Ive found myself making dinner and I'm just like "Im going to be like Imamu and just do stuff that looks right and go with it." It always turns out good!

During the pandemic, I experienced one of the lowest points in my life. I was basically losing hope in myself and the internet was the only thing keeping me from falling into severe depression.
Then, I found your channel. It was very interesting watching how a bento is prepared. Watching this series and catching a glimpse into your family's daily life makes me really happy.
Thank you for making this series, imamu. I am really excited to see what's next from you ❤

I just discovered this channel!! I'm a 17-year-old university student staying away from home, and I really miss my family. While the food you make is very different to what my Mum cooks for us, watching this makes me feel like I'm back at home sitting at the kitchen island and talking with my Mum while she cooks dinner. Thank you for this series, I'll be watching past episodes whenever I miss my Mama to make me feel at home again :)) Best of luck with your new chapter!

Thank you so much for this series. I started watching these for comfort but it ended up inspiring me to make bentos for my husband. I've never been much of a cook, but your videos made me want to try new things.
My husband's love language is also acts of service, and I was having a hard time showing him how much I love him. Making him bentos made him so happy and I can tell it really helped him feel loved.
Seems silly, but your videos really feel like home and have made my life and marriage better. Thank you! I'll continue to support you, no matter what.

I have enjoyed feeling like a family member watching you and your family eat what you've cooked. You have an adopted grandmother in Oklahoma now. Good luck to your family in the future. I will be looking forward to whatever you decide to do in the future.

    Hello Imamu!
About the boiling potatoes, i learn that you can boil them initially in cold water. Put the potatoes in a pan with cold water and then bring it to the stove to let it boil. It's a bit safer than tossing the potatoes into the boiling water (i have burnt myself several times before i learned this trick 😂).
I learned this from a chef that is very popular in Brazil, Paola Carosela, so i guess it's very legit!
    Love your videos!! ❤

If you have a runny food or sauce that you don't want to add flour to, try adding mustard powder or masa powder. They both act as excellent thickeners without making food gloopy. Masa will also not influence flavor much.
I've always enjoyed your videos from the first time I came across your channel. It's nice to destress and get new ideas from watching you cook. It reminded me that cooking is equally about what you put into it and what you get out of it. Even when mistakes are made, it doesn't matter as long as it tastes good and makes you happy. For boiling potatoes and not burning yourself. You can either cut them up, put them in an empty pot, fill that pot with water just to cover the potatoes, then bring it to a boil. Or, if you want the water to start boiling while you cut up the potatoes, use a large slotted spoon or a spider to put them into the pot after the water boils.
No more splashing hot water! 😊

Husbento is a really fun series, I hope you'll continue to show some recipes with your family. Maybe one day a musubento made with your daughter or see how your husband can make one to her tastes?
Have a happy holiday season and I hope 2024 is kind to you and your loved ones!

Just because he quit one job doesn't mean you can't make bentos anymore or cooking. I really hope to see even just those videos. And thank you for keeping those videos up so we can binge watch and relive good memories and hope for new good memories in the future.

I loved those bento videos but I also really liked the weekly lunch videos, showing us your okonimiyaki parties cooking in the table all together and other traditional Japanese recipes!
I cannot wait for the future!
    Also, laughing with your humour!
Husband doesn’t like raisins… oh, that makes wanna cook raisins…😂😂😂😂😂😂
We could sent you traditional recipes from our counties and you could try to make them as they are or bring it closer to your taste?!
