Which Miso paste should I use?
@@harshvardhan6028not the op but if you're new to using miso, I'd recommend a white or yellow paste! It's flavorful but mild in comparison to the darker pastes which cane be overwhelming if you aren't used to them imo

I blame her for my love affair with sistema bento boxes. I learned what Bento Box was and then found really cool ones with little containers that come out. I've been collecting bento boxes every since. I make me Bento when ever I feel like it, even if I'm staying home.
I love Imamu's videos! It's just so comforting and homey. They remind me of the time when my family lived abroad, and my mom was doing similar things to help us get acclimated and not miss back home so much.

If you want to keep the tuna from breaking apart, put it in the freezer for 15-20 minutes. It becomes more firmer and is easier to slice without breaking apart. Can’t wait for the next Lunch box series episodes. I always watch it when I want to lift my spirits and it works every time. ❤😊
That creamy wasabi dipping sauce would go great with sweet potato fries. I'll have to try it.

I always find it interesting to see how you make your egg salads and other mayonnaise based salads and compare then to the ones I've grown up with or heard whispers about while living in the midwest region of the United States (known for it's creativity and boundary pushing when it comes to mayonaise, Miracle Whip, and Cool Whip based salads lol). I've always wondered how many Japanese mayonnaise-based salads are due to Post-War American Influence/cultural exchange and how many just kind of cropped up on their own.
Whenever your daughter appears in your videos I think "Ahh, she's going to have such good memories of delicious meals cooked with love" and it makes me so happy😊congrats on the 50th husbento!

Hi Imamu! I know that market where you got the seafood, I go there every week for the farmer's market and I love shopping there in the summer for all the local fruits and vegetables. I really recommend you check it out! And also in the market there is a chocolate store that sells hot chocolate and it's one of the best hot chocolate I've ever had. You have to try it sometime!

The fried squid balls with rice would probably be closer to aranchini than croquettes! Aranchini tends to be made with leftover risotto so the rice makes me think of it. I love these videos they're so comforting

Ah, frozen (blocks of) cheese will get extra soft and brittle once defrosted, it'll just fall apart. Might be from losing some of its water... Then again, I'm Dutch and I grew up really close to a cheese farm so I usually don't freeze cheese 😅
I freeze cheese too😂 It's okay to keep it in the fridge though right?
@@si5599a good rule of thumb is too store it how you bought it*! If you bought it refrigerated, it's fine refrigerated. If you bought it frozen, it's likely better if you keep it frozen. Most packaging in the US will specify how to store it somewhere on the main package itself, idk if that's applicable in other countries tho. Hope this helped!
* I buy my cheese refrigerated so keep it in the fridge at home. There's 1 that's sold on shelves and gets stored in the fridge and another that's sold in fridge but I store in freezer cuz that's just where I have the room for it & it doesn't change any of the properties of the cheese.

I have made a few things not as good as yours but not bad I'm having a problem finding the square pan you use for the egg roll so I use a regular frying 🍳 pan but it's good to see your videos ❤🇨🇦

I’m always happy when a new video comes out. A suggestion: pasta will always keep absorbing liquid, so it is a good idea to save some of the pasta cooking water to add at the end if it becomes too dry. The starch in the cooking water will also keep the sauce creamy.

P.S.: Also a little bit of tip, if you're going to cut delicate meat/make the cut more precise, put it in the freezer for some time, but not long enough for it to be completely frozen, just cool enough for it to harden like a block. If you're going to cook it in the next morning, put it in the freezer the night before and thaw it out of the fridge first thing in morning.

Hi Imamu! Thank you for another heartwarming bento and other food video! You can buy funnels to make it easier to pour ingredients into pouches or jars instead of using your fingers. They can come in many different sizes and some can be made from silicone too. You may need a larger food processor with the correct blade to cut grind dried kelp (I use a big processor to shred a large head of cabbage).
If you want to save money on buying organic soy milk, you can also find a soymilk maker machine and make your own if you can buy soybeans at a Bulk Barn near you. If you like the taste, that's fine too. I find it to be a little too expensive, so I make my own soy milk instead. 🙂For pasta sauce, you would have to make a higher quantity of liquid or else your pasta will absorb it all, especially when you boil the pasta to your desired texture; that's why you had no sauce left.
Congrats on reaching 50 husbento videos!!! 😄 Your videos are always the highlight of my day and I've starting making some of your bentos! It's a work in progress, but they taste delicious 😋
By the way, I think we live in the same city! I recognize some of the sights and the location of where you got your seafood! (I'm not gonna name the city because I know you've tried very hard to avoid broadcasting your location)
Your video fills my free time this Sunday. Just suggestion about grating cheese, if you want cheese a little bit thick, you must press the cheese to the grater (just a little press) and grate in the same direction. With that, the cheese wouldn't turn to crumbs. Have a nice Sunday 😄

The new wooden bento is so lovely. I've had my eye on one for a long time, but ended up wanting a microwavable bento so got a new one recently and it's 900ml, such a great size for bento lunches. Congrats on #50!!!
