It is now May 17th and they just announced both the vanilla and 2nd kit for the new Bow welp that throws away the entire part where I mentionned the guaranteed September update doesn't it :)
No but god it deserves one. Another year of content wouldn't just give them enough time to give every weapon *third* kits but also give Splatoon 3 a total of *three* years of content. It was RIGHT THERE!!!
We could still get 3rd kits, the start of Sizzle season 2024 is a little over 3 months away from the game's 2 year anniversary (Sizzle season starts in June and ends in August while the game launched on September 9th) and we were told we'd be getting 2 years of support so they could add more weapon kits in September as part of the 2 year anniversary, seasons are more than just weapon kits after all
@@NuiYabuko it actually is though. three has been their ohhh so lucky number for this whole game, except for where it matters like 3rd kids and a 3rd year of content. they preach so hard that 3 is the main number but they just pick and choose when they want to implement the number 3 lol.
With how they've been giving us less and less content with each passing season, I'm not holding my breath that they're eager to give us any more than originally promised. At least not until Splatoon 3 Deluxe, only on Super Switch.
I mean the last season starts in June and ends in August while Splatoon 3 launched in September so if Sizzle season 2024 is the last content update than that is several months less than the "2 years of content updates" we were told
@@nathanblackburn1193 But I feel like Splatfests are also in the same vain for content updates, and Splatoon 3's second anniversary is in the first week of September, so it would be weird for them to do a full season, when 2 years would simply just go to the first week of September.
"Splatoon 3 Deluxe" I too had imagined the same thing, but I imagined it being called "Splatoon 3+", with added features like hardware ray-tracing support, a third wave to the Expansion Pass, 4 seasons (1 year) of additional developer support and in-game events, and (though least likely) a possible 4th wave that could preview elements of the next Splatoon game.
a whole game with nothing but 3s everywhere and you're telling me the $25 DLC gravy train ends on Wave Two? nah, they're definitely gonna be cutting through the red tape on that big gate behind the splatfest terminal sooner or later.
No way lol. People have been saying “no way they don’t open up X in the hub” since Splat 1 and have been let down every single time. There’s no more DLC. There’d be data for it anyway.
@@lancergv2331 I'm a bit new to the series, can you point to an example of a time they had that red tape across an entrance in the hub and then left it there instead of it turning into a DLC entrance?
@@CubesAndPortals Each game it’s been something different, iircin S1 it was a building under construction with a tarp thing over it, and in 2 it was some other buildings. @@lancergv2331 If you Google for "Splatoon red tape" you'll see what I'm talking about. That red tape spanned the entrance to the shady alley in S2 until OE dropped, and the same red tape blocked off the train station in S3 until Wave 1 dropped. There are three of the red tape objects blocking the entrance to that massive gate behind the splatfest terminal. I don't think I've ever seen that object used for any purpose other than gating off future DLC entrances, but I could be wrong.
I’m glad I wasn’t the only one that thought an “expansion pass” for Splatoon didn’t make sense featuring only two (and a half) waves of content. An expansion *pass* normally has three or more waves of content. Meanwhile the setup they have currently just feels like a DLC combo, but doesn’t necessarily feel like an expansion pass. The hubs and Side Order were fun additions, but aside from Side Order, which is an entirely new story mode, all we got were small alterations within hub areas. I’m not saying we should expect more content, though it would feel greatly disappointing if Nintendo were to stop now with it.
before splatoon ends im praying we get a deep cut dlc or something ( probably not gonna happen since for some reason the devs and nintendo are focusing on previous idols, not the current ones. )
I thought of a "Final Season" taking place from September to May, adding more content each month until the Final Splatfest right before Splatoon's 10th anniversary, when the game's life cycle ends and we move onto hype for the next. Some of my ideas for content include: 4 new maps - Vendace Volcano, Cichlid Casino, Warmouth Waterpark, and Fangtooth Fossil Site 8 returning stages - Saltspray Rig, Musselforge Fitness, Piranha Pit, Starfish Mainstage, Camp Triggerfish, Snapper Canal, Ancho-V Games, and The Reef. 1 new gear brand Bomb Launchers, Bubble Blower, Soak Bomb, Splatterang, Spray Bomb Squid Beatz 3 New third kits Returning splatfests (Past VS Present VS Future, Cats VS Dogs VS Fish, Callie VS Marie, Mayo VS Ketchup VS Mustard, Squid VS Octopus VS Salmon, Chaos VS Order, Rock VS Paper VS Scissors, Handshake VS Fist Bump VS Hug (worldwide), Final Splatfest) Limited-time boss salmonids (Salmonlings) that are playable for DLC holders once season is over
Being someone that started late into the 2023 Sizzle Season I desperately hope we an extension at the very least for third kits, id also love to see more splat 2 stages.
I'm guessing they may add a new grizzco weapon, either in sizzle 2024 or drizzle 2024, as there's only been 3 added, personally I think a grizzco roller is the most likely option over brush
I mean, personally I think they should just make big runs like an automatic thing that happens every month or so after the game finally stops getting updates
Personally, I think that we really are going to only get what we get in sizzle season 2024. There will be final fest at the end of the season, we'll get all the weapons, we're probably only going to get *one* kit for the new weapons each (and if we get a content extension, it will be bug fixes and the secondary kits for those weapons.) I do not think we're getting third kits. Remember, the "splatoon dev team" is working on like 3 or 4 different games at once. The xeno franchise, animal crossing, and splatoon to name a few. They're probably even working on the next Zelda as well. They are overly conservative and their management clearly *does not* have a creative vision for splatoon other than "funnel into mid and let them fight." In fact, I think we're expecting far too much from the splatoon 3 dev team for third kits. They don't have the time, energy, or resources for third kits. Plus, it will be really funny if they drop both secondary kits for the new main weapons in the new update.
Rumor has it the Switch successor is going to be backwards compatible the way DS to 3DS or Gameboy to Gameboy Color are. If that's the case I think we could see Splatoon 3 being the first cross-gen Splatoon game - With a refreshed content cycle with updates to old kits and maps to help boost the new console's first year. It'd be pretty sad if Salmon Run ends in the state it's in right now, and the maps in the game are all pretty mediocre. At least we don't have any major stinkers like Goby Arena, but with one more map remaining and the only missing stage gimmick being an imperfect mirror map like Saltspray Rig or Skipper Pavillion (Which was the last one for Splatoon 2) I don't think we should hold our breath for an absolutely amazing stage. I would like to see the gimmick done well someday, but not as a final stage for a game with no real standouts already.
A cool thing they could add would be when you went to check out Cuttlefish’s artwork, you would have a choice to ask him what Agent 3 did, and you would play a remake of Octo Valley? I think it’s a good idea? :)
For clarification with the "Guaranteed update for September" I did only say that due to needing 2nd kits for the sizzle season weapons, while at the same time it is plausable for them to release them all at the same time, I still think its unlikely, but only time will tell at this point, if I'm wrong then I'm wrong, but I doubt they'd release both the vanilla and 2nd kits at the same time since I don't think they've ever done that before I'd also like to say obviously this list of things is like a best case scenario situation since a lot of this stuff we didn't get for splatoon 2, it all kind of falls apart once one thing is wrong, but at the end of the day, it is all just speculation, and obviously hopes and prayers, though I do agree that I've probably put too much faith into Nintendo
yeah you're putting a lot of weight on "surely they wouldn't release both kits for new bow+sword at the same time". sizzle season is an easy out for them to just release all the remaining weapons and one map to round it out to 24, and just be done with the game. not that they definitely will, not that i want them to, but they totally would.
I'd say bring back Morray Towers, or Walli Wearhouse, or Kelp Dome. Maybe bring back The Reef, Muscle Forge Fitness. Maybe Urchin Under Pass needs to come back.
Another big reason for sizzle season not being the last season is finalfest! It will happen on the closest weekend of the game's anniversary which is September, and sizzle season only lasts until the end of August, so by then the game will still be "active" and it'll be a drizzle season
@@remcrimson2750 nintendo: NooOoooOoOOoo, how cam you expekt me, a multi-billion company, to sacrefice the resourc of 2 mous-clickks for 100 main weapons, which would také a whole 15 minuts, to make yu all laike 3x happier?!?!??!

@@SmallHappyOtter making new kits isnt about developing new content, its about putting premade puzzle pieces together for your players to have access to. I cant imagine that taking any significant amount of time, employees or money. What Nintendo cant finish within 1 year is done by other gaming companies in a matter of months, and this saddens me considering how much i owe Nintendo growing up
I think it’s ironic how this game is called splatoon 3. it has 2 more that 3. Every weapon has 2 kits, 2 years of updates (confirmed anyway), 2 update waves.
Easy answer: no. No it isn’t. They’re absolutely moving on, the CURRENT content is lacking and behind what S2 got. It’s winding down. We’re getting less each season, now we only get one map! The game is at the end of the switch’s life and it’s clear we’re getting a new system soon, so, they’re probably going to be making a new game instead.
I honestly wouldn't put it past Nintendo to end it sooner than we would like. However, I kinda doubt they're making Splatoon 4 anytime soon for one big reason: Animal Crossing. From what I understand, Splatoon and Animal Crossing share the same dev team, Hisashi Nogami and his crew. With the astronomical success of New Horizons in its heyday, it wouldn't surprise me if Nintendo had Nogami and co. focus their efforts on a new AC game for the new system and put Splatoon on the back burner. Now I'm no game developer, nor do I pretend to know the ins and outs of Nintendo's business decisions, but perhaps Splatoon could be assigned to a new dev team while Nogami works on AC (or vice versa)? Or maybe Nogami's team could be divided into two smaller teams for each game? Or most likely I don't know what I'm talking about and neither of these things are feasible, lol. Regardless, I think you're right in they'll probably make a new game. But I think we'll be seeing a new Animal Crossing well before a new Splatoon.
@@ApapaneNui Nintendo doesn't seem to have set teams, so nothing stands in the way of working on both. Like, Splatoon 3 development must have started before ACNH was even out or at least while that was getting updates.
@@NuiYabuko This was in an interview ""So, you decided on the theme of the next game based on the results of the Splatfest that players participated in? Does that mean even the developers didn't know until the end which team would win or what the theme of the next title would be? Inoue: Yes. I watched it all the way through without having a clue how it would turn out. Sato: Well, I at least had some ideas in my head, imagining things like how the game would look if Team Order won. (Laughs) Nogami: But it was not until we saw the results that we began to think about it seriously. Inoue: So many players participate in the Splatoon series' Splatfests that even the developers can't predict the outcome. In the world of the Splatoon series, we create each game's design and sound, and the principles of characters' behaviors by reflecting how players have actually played the franchise. So, the trends and values in the Inkling world change significantly depending on the outcome of the final Splatfest. Therefore, the chaotic Splatsville is a city that rapidly developed with the arrival of the “Chaos” craze after the Splatfest. Sato: Since what happens to the Inkling world is affected by the actions and reactions of players, we have no idea how the world will change. Inoue: This may be something a bit unusual for a Nintendo game. It is also the year 2022 in the Inkling world. In many other games, for example, the characters do not age even if time passes in the real world, or time moves forward in the game regardless of the time in the real world. But in Splatoon 1, 2, and 3, the same amount of time has passed in the squid world as in the real world. Therefore, the characters grow, and cities and cultures develop over time. For example, this character is called Murch, and he has grown so much taller in the five years between Splatoon 2 and Splatoon 3.""
Sizzle season will be the last new catalog, and the last new gold and silver capsules for the shellout machine. - we know how these are being handled and there won't be more for Sept, Pretty sure Sept onwards will be repeating the catalogs for seasons 5-8 endlessly now. I def think we might get a year of seasons which each add some third kits, balence and stage reworks, and maybe some odd extras like more splatfests/banners/titles/grizzco shop adds the big run rewards but they all cost 999 scales. I cannot see any world where we get new stages in September and onwards. There's no chance that salmon run isn't getting any more maps but PVP keeps getting more for another year. Especially when datamines showed 2 more SR maps and then we had it confirmed there's no more. Considering that SR map detail, I think instead of a significant content expansion happening this year, Nintendo changed their plans and decided to give a new batch of Splatoon 3 content with a significant "switch 2" update, like the rumoured game upscaling stuff for existing games. So the switch 2 being delayed rumour means they're just going to push back anything planned with that, and we might get a revitalised year of new content for 3 after a content gap. - In addition to that, I think splatoon 3 selling crazily on release and then the playerbase and the sales completely stalling after the first 4 months would also have lead to nintendo changing plans on how they handle content and future game plans longterm. Personally though, after playing splatoon 1 and realising just how laggy and bad splatoon 3's online is compared to a 9 year old game; I'm now kind of wishing they just end splatoon 3 and release 4 sooner, and fix some of the systemic problems in a new game, instead of dragging out a flawed games life longer.
While I agree that this is the best game in the series even with the map design/pvp issues, there is absolutely no excuse to explain why we did NOT get THE REEF in the SPLATOON 2-themed update.
Games like Mario Kart 8 DX and Smash Bros Ultimate got content extensions. For Smash Ultimate, i remember we weren't suppose to get a Fighters Pass 2. So yeah, content extensions are possible, but don't hope for it.
I really hope that they stretch it to the splat 10 year anniversary it feels weird to end it this year when they can end it closer to the end of the switch and on the 10th anniversary. but this is a pipe dream probably
I’m so confident that we’ll get * at least* third kits that I’d literally bet on it The devs always talking about how the third game should be the *best* in the series and having three kits for every weapon would be really strange. Plus, like you mentioned, they do need to have second kits for the new weapons, and it would be so weird if they released them in the same season. I have confidence in the devs that they want this game to be as good as it can be and now that they don’t have side order to think about, they can focus on the main game and make it just perfect. Am I optimistic? Very. But I think I think that optimism is based in fact.
I will say, if we get any type of extension, it will be Amiibos. Because there is data that suggests there is at least two more amiibos coming. Likely Deadfish and possibly Pearl Drone, but I'd hope that was like a middle character like the squid forms. But since we are only getting a two amiibo set, it will likely be Deadfish. And maybe another Agent 8, but I can't see them making another Agent 8 without the boy. And I can't see them making both Agent 8s without a new Octo Form.
My hopes are to add a "Legacy Season" at the end of the game where they add everything that has been on every previous catalog and at every 10 levels you'll be able to unlock a random 3rd kit. What I'm saying is they'll add 3rd kits for every weapon and make them catalog exclusive in the season that will never end.
I’m sorry, but the fact that we haven’t gotten a new type of Splatana nor stringer near the end of the game is absolutely ridiculous. You introduce two brand new classes and you hardly do anything with them. Also bring back the old mahi-mahi. It was good.
I think we’d get a final update in September as 2 years wouldn’t be up until September 9th. But not going to get my hopes up. Also at one point, kelp dome was in the files for splatoon 3. 😢
all splat 1 stages were in splat 2's files and most weren't used (urchin, museum etc). stages being the files doesnt mean anything since they could just be used for testing and be leftover lol.
Here's the thing, we know Sizzle season 2024 is the last season but we're supposed to be getting 2 years worth of updates and the game launched in September and Sizzle Season starts in June which would be a few months short of "2 years" so I'm guessing the game's 2 year anniversary will come with content too just not as a season
Next season better have more than 1 map. Like, when Splatoon 2 was updating, there was a new map every month for a little over a year (plus shifty station if that counts), it would’ve been either a brand new map, or just an returning map from 1 with improvements. And now it’s just 2 new maps every 3 months except in the current season where it was just 1 map for the whole season, even if it was a really good map, they could’ve at least just ported over a map from 2 as the other stage. I was honestly hoping that the other new turf war map would’ve been added in for the middle of the season, which imo would’ve been a great idea cause it would keep you playing and give others a reason to come back, plus they could polish it up and make it really good, like I would’ve been happy with just a returning Splatoon 2 map since they only brought back 6 of them, but no.
Im gonna be mean and say this is really just a bunch of nothing. drizzle will be it. theres nothing else coming besides in reality. 1 new/returning stage all the 2nd kits that are needed to give every weapon a second kit grizzco roller that was datamined We'll probably also get tricolor available in private battle and final tabelturf cards. I bet we'll also get one more mid season patch and then close to the end of drizzle season, we'll get the finalfest. Either that or we get it early in September. Mid season patch will probably be the last piece of content via a stage rework. Everyone keeping putting out theories and hopes that this game is gonna have a magic amazing final update and I'm getting kinda tired of the fact that no ones really facing the music. This game is over.
I'm personally hoping for one but I'm getting kinda doubtful, also imagine if they just ended up releasing the 2nd kits for the new weapons at the same time as the basic versions were released just to confirm no september update
As someone who recently got the game earlier last month, all this makes me feel upset that it all could end and make the money spent not worthwhile since oh I should have waited for the new game and not get let down. Nintendo, screw yall
I missed out on both drizzle seasons and what if someone got the game really late and couldn't get certain gear if they did a content extension I would want 3rd kits duh but also every catalog exclusive gear item u can't get in stores ex the toni kensa framless glasses
Why doesn’t splattercolour screen mark people with a special icon when they go through it. Its also be nice if they made it so your team can see through it.
Nintendo being based in their way, I wouldn't be surprised if they just stopped updates exactly when they said no matter how popular the game is. But then again Nintendo doesn't normally do live service games so Splatoon 3 may be one of the most worked on games Nintendo has and it doesn't bring them as much value as Tears of the Kingdom
@@NuiYabukoI mean, it is...kind of. It's main appeal has you playing it online with others, but yet, it has offline stuff like the main story campaign and the DLC, which is why I said it kind of is a live service game.

Wish we could get the 2 stages from Splatoon 1, but it looks like we're only going to get 1 more stage and I bet it'll be a knew one🤔 I really hope they'll add more content even after next season. I'd probably even be okay with another paid DLC if that'd motivate Nintendo to continue updates for a bit longer😵💫
if splatoon 2 got content extensions then splatoon 3 should get one only reason I can see it not happening is if switch 2 is around the corner and they're preparing splatoon 4/3 deluxe for release
this game NEEDS more maps, as if we only get one more there will be 24 maps, which is only 1 more than splatoon 2 which had 23 and definitely much better maps. If this game is going to have bad maps, it should at least have a lot more maps than the previous game.
I wouldn't count on more content. They didn't really seem that motivated with Splatoon 3 in general and with the franchise being one of Nintendo's best selling IPs I imagine they want to have Splatoon 4 ready some time around/ after the Switch 2 launch. If anything we'll see something in the Nintendo Direct next month but who knows.
They do seem to have a habit of making incredibly promising games with untapped potential...and then barely tapping that potential. Like...what the heck Nintendo? I'm still stunned they just left New Horizons to flounder that soon. It was a monster success, it absolutely dominated; there was still so much they could have done! You'd think they'd continue riding that high, but they jumped ship about halfway through the trip and I have no idea why. And it feels like they're doing the same thing here, seemingly giving us less and less with each update lately.
@@ApapaneNui they got their money, that's all that matters in the end. people bought their game, and people bought the DLC, do why do they need to try? we can't refund the DLC and a lot of people bought the game digitally, so we cant refund that either. it's all about money nowadays.

Maddest copium take here, but I hope they release retro layouts for Mahi flounder and hammerhead. That way people can play on the beloved old layouts in splatoon 3 whilst also not worrying about the fact that they canonically look different now, because it’s a ‘retro’ layout
Also there WONT be a September season. NEXT season is the last season. The games two year mark is September, which means the prior season is the last update if that is when the content stops. One more map and the last 8 kits is all we’re getting with a new sword and new bow. And likely one last map rework mid season. Then it’s done.
I just hope the next mainline game drops the Season format - it has ruined the free updates for me. Though it really feels like the devs are working on something else Animal Crossing or spin-off Splatoon related as their effort clearly haven’t been focused solely on Splat 3…
0:43 we are not slated for this September. The game would get two years of support which includes the first season. The last update will be the summer for now 1:43 Also yeah I think you are looking into the wording too much. It is the same thing the Super Mario Maker 2 players did when we found out 3.0.0 would be the last MAJOR update. People speculated that maybe we would get smaller content updates but no we did not.
I'm hoping for a 1~2 year content extension... and here's how Ninty would do it... Switch 2 comes out at the final quarter of 2024 with Splatoon Trilogy, which has Sploon1+2+3 with both DLCs (Octo expansion and Side Order). Sploon 1/2/3 games are played "virtually" and all three hubs already exist and rulesets/weapon kits are ruleset specific... and Sploon Trilogy being able to connect with OG Switch Sploon 2+3 lobbies. Easy way to get Sploon lovers to fork out yet another 70 bucks, whilst also keeping OG Switch Sploon2+3 alive...
Eh… Regardless of if we get a content extension or third kits at all or whatever I just don’t see it being very much. The playerbase is dying off fast, and just looking at how half assed the content we’ve been getting for the past year or so, I feel like the devs wanna wrap up as soon as possible and make a game they actually feel passionate about.
(Pressing 1 to doubt) Fr I’m just putting this here before even watching, cus I’m sorry to say no matter what you say, I’ve just lost any reason to think it’ll happen now, they’ve just lost too much of my faith already, I can’t give it to them for something as big as this.

Realll
The funny squid game has made it so I'm going through a severe copium overdose.
Considering next year will be splatoon's 10th anniversary, i would love an 10th anniversary context extenstion year!
methinks they should do a construction notice for hammerhead, then announce a big run halfway through with a "preview" of the half constructed bridge
i hope the catalogue cycles round so we have a chance to get stuff we missed
I thought of a "Final Season" taking place from September to May, adding more content each month until the Final Splatfest right before Splatoon's 10th anniversary, when the game's life cycle ends and we move onto hype for the next. Some of my ideas for content include:
4 new maps - Vendace Volcano, Cichlid Casino, Warmouth Waterpark, and Fangtooth Fossil Site
8 returning stages - Saltspray Rig, Musselforge Fitness, Piranha Pit, Starfish Mainstage, Camp Triggerfish, Snapper Canal, Ancho-V Games, and The Reef.
1 new gear brand
Bomb Launchers, Bubble Blower, Soak Bomb, Splatterang, Spray Bomb
Squid Beatz 3
New third kits
Returning splatfests (Past VS Present VS Future, Cats VS Dogs VS Fish, Callie VS Marie, Mayo VS Ketchup VS Mustard, Squid VS Octopus VS Salmon, Chaos VS Order, Rock VS Paper VS Scissors, Handshake VS Fist Bump VS Hug (worldwide), Final Splatfest)
Limited-time boss salmonids (Salmonlings) that are playable for DLC holders once season is over
Bring back shifty stations too we need them
Being someone that started late into the 2023 Sizzle Season I desperately hope we an extension at the very least for third kits, id also love to see more splat 2 stages.
i hope they add more old maps
I'm guessing they may add a new grizzco weapon, either in sizzle 2024 or drizzle 2024, as there's only been 3 added, personally I think a grizzco roller is the most likely option over brush
Wait... there WASNT a grizzco roller
@@graycatsaderownope or a splatling
@@albertogaming7364 mandela effect strikes
grizzco brush ou splatling will be the best options 😊
I mean, personally I think they should just make big runs like an automatic thing that happens every month or so after the game finally stops getting updates
Personally, I think that we really are going to only get what we get in sizzle season 2024. There will be final fest at the end of the season, we'll get all the weapons, we're probably only going to get *one* kit for the new weapons each (and if we get a content extension, it will be bug fixes and the secondary kits for those weapons.)
I do not think we're getting third kits.
Dream on.... Dream on.....
Nintendo: SCREW YOU (undoes your hammerhead bridge)
A cool thing they could add would be when you went to check out Cuttlefish’s artwork, you would have a choice to ask him what Agent 3 did, and you would play a remake of Octo Valley?
I think it’s a good idea? :)
For clarification with the "Guaranteed update for September" I did only say that due to needing 2nd kits for the sizzle season weapons, while at the same time it is plausable for them to release them all at the same time, I still think its unlikely, but only time will tell at this point, if I'm wrong then I'm wrong, but I doubt they'd release both the vanilla and 2nd kits at the same time since I don't think they've ever done that before
I'd also like to say obviously this list of things is like a best case scenario situation since a lot of this stuff we didn't get for splatoon 2, it all kind of falls apart once one thing is wrong, but at the end of the day, it is all just speculation, and obviously hopes and prayers, though I do agree that I've probably put too much faith into Nintendo
yeah you're putting a lot of weight on "surely they wouldn't release both kits for new bow+sword at the same time". sizzle season is an easy out for them to just release all the remaining weapons and one map to round it out to 24, and just be done with the game.
not that they definitely will, not that i want them to, but they totally would.
I'd say bring back Morray Towers, or Walli Wearhouse, or Kelp Dome. Maybe bring back The Reef, Muscle Forge Fitness. Maybe Urchin Under Pass needs to come back.
thats if they even give us 2nd kits for those weapons
Another big reason for sizzle season not being the last season is finalfest! It will happen on the closest weekend of the game's anniversary which is September, and sizzle season only lasts until the end of August, so by then the game will still be "active" and it'll be a drizzle season
On salmon run they could give us a new Grizz o weapon to finish it up Pretty sure there was mention of one in the files
I think the only reason for Nintendo not to extend Splatoon 3’s lifespan is if they are currently working on a switch 2 or maybe a Splatoon 4(?)
Or the most reasonable option : Nintendo is lazy despite having the ability to extend it.
@@remcrimson2750It's the time that nintendo gave the team to work on it, more a lack of faith that it'll make enough money than "nintendo lazy"

@@Treegrow131i don’t think you realize how many resources it takes to make new kits. i know you’re half joking but still game development is super complex and new kits requires way more money and resources than it seems
I personally always thought the plan was to have updates till drizzle 2024
@@NuiYabuko This was in an interview
""So, you decided on the theme of the next game based on the results of the Splatfest that players participated in? Does that mean even the developers didn't know until the end which team would win or what the theme of the next title would be?
Inoue: Yes. I watched it all the way through without having a clue how it would turn out.
Sato: Well, I at least had some ideas in my head, imagining things like how the game would look if Team Order won. (Laughs)
Nogami: But it was not until we saw the results that we began to think about it seriously.

I just want saltspray rig
i just really want lost outpost and saltspray rig 😭
I can not wait for the third variant of Splatter Shot. Burst Bomb and Ink Jet please.
I’m so confident that we’ll get * at least* third kits that I’d literally bet on it
The devs always talking about how the third game should be the *best* in the series and having three kits for every weapon would be really strange.
Ehh the idea seems iffy but they do gotta do something about catalogues when the content cycle ends

Man I always wanted new playable characters. Like sharklings or Salmonlings. Don’t know if we will ever get that tho
Yes I would hope for it
Next season better have more than 1 map.
I was honestly hoping that the other new turf war map would’ve been added in for the middle of the season, which imo would’ve been a great idea cause it would keep you playing and give others a reason to come back, plus they could polish it up and make it really good, like I would’ve been happy with just a returning Splatoon 2 map since they only brought back 6 of them, but no.
very well made, i think they should definitely keep going
Im not holding my breath. Sizzle is prob the last added anything. Maybe balance patches after but that's it
All I want is a Chozuna vs Horrorboros vs Joe splatfest
idk I would love to have a content extension but I feel like the lack of content is just going to mirror the acnh content where it just....died off
Im gonna be mean and say this is really just a bunch of nothing. drizzle will be it. theres nothing else coming besides in reality.
1 new/returning stage
all the 2nd kits that are needed to give every weapon a second kit
grizzco roller that was datamined
We'll probably also get tricolor available in private battle and final tabelturf cards.
Maybe they’re saving the best for last. Oooor it’s taking a bunch of time to do stages

some weapons have half baked kits and 3rd kits would possibly save these weapons
