Take a shot for every time you hear him say the word "pulley"Also, Corey Taylor in the background at the end of the video 🤘👍Great video. I was honestly scared to look up how to remove my pump but this video makes me more comfortable. Thank you sir
Great Video! Good to see this removal process in work. Great job to turn one for a superior replacement pulley for the cheap plastic one. Making the LS better is always a good thing. My LS could use something this nice!
That was an excellent video!! The job seems much easier watching this! Not to mention, that turn one pulley is awesome! Looks great and is extremely functional too! Awesome video!
+Jamie Wahl Yes, two different tools. Actually, the tool to press it on is just a bolt that will thread into the PS pump shaft and then washers under the head of it.
Thank you phordguy! I'm not sure if they offer a larger sized pulley, but you can check Turn One's website (link is in the description) to see what else they have. I believe that in a way these pumps do what you're describing. They lower the pressure so that its not making excess pressure in return saving HP.
Thanks MightFAB! My brain has been working on how to capture harness work on video and be able to present it clear. So I plan to do it one day. All the harnesses are different to though. SO it'd probably cover the truck harness first.
awesome video man exactly what I was looking for just to bad I was three years late trying to win that pulley hahaha I subscribed also good to see informative videos so I can work on my car myself and save some cash... thanks man
I went to this "turn one" pump back in 2012. I kept my stock pulley tho. I just decided to go to a good power steering pump for my 3rd one on my camaro lq9 since the first 2 leaked around the pulley bearings so bad. & btw, if it leaks, expect the alternator below it to go soon too! So the 3rd time and hopefully last time, I heard "turn one" was top of the line so thats what I went with to save me and my alternator on possible leak damage issues!
I love would love to try the tun one pump and pulley I have a 2000 z28 5.7 ls1 and I’m trying to get her right. By the way I’m Winston for New Orleans F Boby Nation
Thanks Kyle! Sure! I can try. At first I just bent it straight (except for the end with the fitting) just to get it to fit onto the pump as you see in the beginning of the video. Just real rough and sloppy. Then I just straigtened it out a lil more and opened up the 180 curved end just a lil to get it to fit while running it under the pump. I know thats not very clear, but thats all I can think to say without doing it agianand shooting another video. lol
At first I was thinking, what is this guy talking about? the Video is still the whole time with the camera stuck in the fender. Then, after watching it again, I figured out that you must have been referring to when the pulley exploded.... Maybe he was taking cover to not lose an eye? Or hadn't been trained to take the hit yet. He probably wasnt very experienced with the camera either. Sometimes I have to have peolpe standing around me record while I do something. You can tell a difference in the video outcome of people who have been around a camera more.
Thanks for your videos; I have used a Corvette pulley before because the "windows" in them let you get to the PS pump bolts, but the Turn One looks a lot better. This would be a nice upgrade for my '56 Chevy 4 door Townsman wagon running a 2000 Z28 LS-1/4l60e.
Thanks bro... getting ready to do this same replacement on a 00 SS. Belt came loose and busted my reservoir. Appears the pulley crapped out causing the belt to come loose. I wish I had bought a different pulley. Was hoping to find a good step by step video
Thanks Jeff! I'll be getting a new update video on it posted soon. It's now going turbo and about ready to drive agian. So it should be able to kill the tires now. lol
+AGearHead4Life Very nice! i currently have a 98 Z28 full SLP exhaust with exception of the flow master 80 series, loud as hell mild cam not sure what cam, i bought it that way, T56 which i will upgrade but i am also Turbocharging mine, 78mm turbo is what im thinking of going with. I'm aiming for 550 650hp nothing crazy, I'm aware its capable of more bug I'm good with that.
Yep, from what I've read, that stock bottom end is capable of 600whp dependably. Its the rods that are the weak spot. If you put gen 4 rods in it, it'll handle a few hundred more whp. But like you said, what you have will be plenty, for sure.
I love your channel. I would like to have one for my ls build. To start me off. I don't want to have the pressed plastic breaking and cracking on me at high rpms
RedDevil ent. Yep! I usually use this one now, from a newer truck. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GUGA1OI/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=age0a0-20&camp=1789&creative=9325&linkCode=as2&creativeASIN=B00GUGA1OI&linkId=876aaf6ce950410b8d0bd5a519d7f902
I use the "eBay" head studs. They run $67 shipped. Think they're made by Pro Comp or Alpine, not really sure who actually makes them because everybody sticks their own name on them. But they work great. Just don't torque them past 70ft lbs. Good luck on the pulley!
Doing a LS1 Swap in my 93 T/A right now, that pulley would look great on it lol.
Thank you kostasdot1! I'm glad you're enjoying the show!
Honored that you're enjoying them.

Yeah me too !!!! LOL
Thanks as always for the support Josh! Keep on Wrench'n!
I could use that pulley lol. I'm addicted to your uploads and have learned quite a bit over the course of your uploads. Great videos all the time.
Yea it is! Sorry to hear about that pump issue. Good luck on the Pulley Nick!
Thank you Matt! I've been really enjoying it. I've been a third gen lover for 18 years now.
Thank you Rob! Turn One has done a great job. Good luck on the pulley!

Awesome JJ! Feels good to hear my efforts are appreciated! Thank you! Good luck on the pulley!
Thanks Fidel! Yes this is really a giveaway for one F-Body LS1 Turn One Power Steering Pulley. Good luck!
Excellent video, another thing on my to do list eventually at some point. Something I would of not thought would be this easy, but it is!
Thank you! This would start you out in the right direction. GOod luck on the pulley Jordan!
I have been looking into upgrading my power steering system this winter. A free pulley would really help me out.
Your videos are the best!!!!
Thank you brotha!
Just in time, putting the 5.3 in my fbody next month, I could use that! Cool pulley, learning new stuff on your page all the time!
Thank you JJ! Thats awesome man. I'm glad to hear you appreciate the videos man. Good luck on the pulley!
by far the best video I found. thanks for the details I am sure I can do this myself now and save labor costs from a shop! thanks bunches
+Jamie Wahl Awesome Jamie! Glad that you found it helpful. Good luck!
+AGearhead4Life did you use just a wrench on the pulley tensioner?
+Jamie Wahl For the belt tensioner I used a 3/8 ratchet with a long handle for leverage.
+AGearhead4Life is the pulley puller bolt a wider thread then the pulley Presser bolt?
+Jamie Wahl Yes, two different tools. Actually, the tool to press it on is just a bolt that will thread into the PS pump shaft and then washers under the head of it.
Thank you Ray! I try to spread the knowledge! Keep on Wrench'n!

So did the powersteering pump hold up after all these years?
Cesar, that is the LS1 F-body (2000 Camaro) front accessories that I'm running on the Squriter in this video. Nothing has been relocated.
Thank you Luis! Good luck on the pulley man.
Turn One has sweet pumps too!
Thanks Kyle!

There needs to be a camera man revolution. When interesting things happen, DON'T PAN AWAY!

RedDevil ent. Yep! I usually use this one now, from a newer truck. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GUGA1OI/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=age0a0-20&camp=1789&creative=9325&linkCode=as2&creativeASIN=B00GUGA1OI&linkId=876aaf6ce950410b8d0bd5a519d7f902

Sweet pulley I got to get one for my 02 z and 5.3 LS project
this is true... Thank you Towrecker!
Cool Matt! Good luck man!
I use the "eBay" head studs. They run $67 shipped. Think they're made by Pro Comp or Alpine, not really sure who actually makes them because everybody sticks their own name on them. But they work great. Just don't torque them past 70ft lbs.
Good luck on the pulley!
I'm currently doing a 5.3 swap into a '93 Roadmaster. That'd be about the same swap as the 95 Impala. guess I should make a video for you then...
very helpful! great looking pump and pulley! thanx for the video!
