It's gang stuff. There are gangs all over Asia, Europe, literally all over the world and they just started four years ago when Biden was elected. (sarcasm). Some very ill people here.
Ikr it's like who and where were the murders? Like are they targeting Americans specifically or tourists or locals. Excellent journalism as always guys.

Years/decades ago the Bahamas had very little crime in the major areas & no crime on the smaller islands!! The police & legal system was harsh on crime & criminals, making jail into hell to deter the criminal of ever doing a crime again!!

BACK IN 1969 MY FATHER VISITED THE BAHAMAS!! My father had a conversation with a Bahamian cop on the island of Bimini & this cop told my father how the strict police code & law kept crime to a "bare minimum" & even lost wallets were taken to the police station where residents or tourists could get it back!! This cop told my father the jails were harsh on any criminal to help deter any future crime!! BTW in 1969 the Bahamas were still a British colony until August 1973 when the Bahamas became an independent nation!!
My thoughts exactly. Have been to the Bahamas when they were still a British colony, much cleaner and safer then. Only made one trip after 1973, no plans to go back again.
Don't know about Jamaica, haven't visited that one yet or learned of it, but that country the Bahamas is a good example that immigration must be controlled. A study was once done showing that seventy five percent of the crimes committed in the Bahamas was not done by Bahamians. And in the other twenty five percent, the crimes were partly done by people born to people who came there from other Caribbean nations. The country has suffered for decades under the weight of other nations coming there and bringing their own culture. Watch out for people who say they are Bahamians, because many people there and abroad say that they are Bahamians and are not. Many are born to people who came there many years ago. It's a very sad situation there, because the world hears the name of this country, but do not know the truth. The question there is, who are committing these crimes.

Very scary indeed. My family vacationed there in Summer of 2023 but I arrived alone as I live in a different city than they do. Upon arriving at the airport I searched for a taxi. One guy offered to help and he tried to take my bag as he was walking me to the taxi area. One lady was screaming at the top of her lungs for me to get away from the guy as he was not safe. It had me very scared. When leaving the island I did notice signs at the airport about abductions as well. Im careful anywhere I travel and Ive been to many countries and vacation places but that was a first for me.

Crime was very low during the British colonial period & when the islands got independence in 1973 crime was still almost non-excistent & remained that way for decades but now?? What is going on??
