Why won’t the same State Department issue travel advisory warnings for visitors to New York,Chicago,Los Angeles where the murder rates are in the thousands
Cant speak for LA or Chicago, but NY isn't really that dangerous. Never felt unsafe in the vast majority of it. Unless of course your vacation getaway is in the South side of the Bronx, or Bed-Stuy, but those aren't exactly the touristy areas of NYC.

Man I just came back from the Bahamas❤❤❤ and its so peaceful and beautiful and the people are so friendly❤❤.... United States needs advised about their crime rates

Happy to hear you enjoyed your stay. It's very peaceful and beautiful. The Bahamas is at the same levels as France and much larger countries. Crime lies deep in the inner cities which is miles away from the tourist attractions

Tourists have nothing to worry about. The worst criminal in the bahamas wont bother a tourist.
Be careful out there. It goes down fast in third world countries. Watch your cups, go easy on the alcohol, and beware of your surroundings

Why on Earth would anyone want to "vacation" in a place that is so dangerous? How do you consider it relaxing and enjoyable that a you can't wear any jewelry or carry any cash and constantly worry about robbery? Why not just get arrested in the US and go to jail, its cheaper you don't need airfare or to pay for your room!

Don't believe that BS!!! As a 2 passport holder of the bahamas and USA, I am more afraid of what's going on in the United States than the Bahamas or any other Islands... Just came back from being there 2months and it's very peaceful and friendly ❤... You do have crimes, but it's not the way the United States is advertising it... The policing in the bahamas is very restricted on its citizens and VERY MUCH THE tourist industry...

You'll be warmly welcomed. Many first time visitors have enjoyed their stay and will co tinge to do so. Crimes are more domestic not involving visitors and return guests alike.

Don't know about Jamaica, haven't visited that one yet or learned of it, but that country the Bahamas is a good example that immigration must be controlled. A study was once done showing that seventy five percent of the crimes committed in the Bahamas was not done by Bahamians. And in the other twenty five percent, the crimes were partly done by people born to people who came there from other Caribbean nations. The country has suffered for decades under the weight of other nations coming there and bringing their own culture. Watch out for people who say they are Bahamians, because many people there and abroad say that they are Bahamians and are not. And many are born to people with different culture thinking who came there many years ago. It's a very sad situation there, because the world hears the name of this country, but do not know the truth. The question there is, who are committing these crimes.

I went in 2023 & was taken from my cruise port in front of everyone and nobody noticed. I was taken to the shipping container yard and asked 12422 questions about passports and other things. Had to walk 4-5 miles back alone in my bathing suit

@@tobeargoodfruit You are right, but depends where. There are some places in America police won’t go to either, unless they are pressed to if a major crime happens. These are rough neighborhoods everyone tries to avoid usually, because of lack of police presence. Since they have been defunded, there is also far less police around, while some police will no longer risk their lives to go the extra mile like they used to, and I don’t blame them. I’m sure Jamaica is worse, but that’s not saying much.

Sad how Nassau has gone downhill since we were there 2006 for Christmas. We loved that place and the locals were very nice. Food and music was great.

As a fellow bahamain from the bahamas are crimes are not really that bad to the ones in the usa, even tho we have killings it not even close to other world crimes around the world, we are kind and welcome our guest that comes here, i see alot of americans at our docks and at the beaches and no bahamain has ever been seen killing or even on the new that they died from gunshots only fellow bahamains get shot but anyway instead of talking about our homeland maybe talk about ur own murders or crimes
