the opening is the most 2000s acton genre thing ive ever seen and heard.
When I was a child, I used to be absolutely terrified of the warehouse level!
When i was a child, i was terrified of the final shocker level, vulture clock tower level and the first mission of sneaking into Oscorp, I couldn’t beat the game at all and it made my little kid self mad and upset.

For a fact on Vulture, the same voice actor reappears in The Spider-Man PS4 game as the same bird brain.
I noticed that when playing the PS4 version. Iconic voice acting right there.

I never knew that Bruce Campbell was the voice behind the tutorial and how sarcastic it was (my native language ain’t English so practically I didn’t understand anything as a kid)
It's great that Tobey voiced Spider-Man in the video game tie-ins and we got to hear a lot of quips that the films sort of lacked.
Between this and the PS1 game, I was always confused as a kid about how Spider-man was able to web swing from the sky

True to 60's spiderman cartoon, the web breaks the 4th wall and sticks to the top of the screen 😂. At least 8 legged spider on costume (60's had 6) and no jewelry typo here.
OH THE NOSTALGIA! I remember being 7 when this game came out and looking back now it feels like I was literally there! Also that tutorial guy was a riot😂 man got a ham sandwich half way through,,, and it had too much mustard 😂

I hated the Oscorp level I had no patience with stealth as a gamer back then. they use to fye my ass up
i remember when i played this game as a kid i hardly did any missions, i just swung around, jumped from tall buildings, and beat up random bad guys
This is the first game I ever played, when I was littler, my parents were poor but my aunt was loaded and my cousin showed me this for the first time and we never got off of the PlayStation until I had to leave. This is the game that made me the gamer I am today
I still have this game on PS2 since my childhood when I was 9 years old, looking back at this brings me so much memories. I still play it to this day. I remember having such a difficult time getting through Shocker's blast, and breaking and entering at Oscorp. But, after reading through the game guide book to get passed I manage to have win and overcome the odds. It's too bad Kraven the hunter was only in the Xbox one, that would've been cool if he was in the PS2 one.

Used to love this game. I like that they took elements of the PS1 Spider-Man games in terms of the combat abilities.

It's better than the ps5 stuff (and those batman games lol arkham city had a spinning camera to make me dizzy and knight takes forever to go places). Story without dragging dialogue and quicker city to access. I also like the amazing spiderman on 3ds.
I use to play this when I was a young kid, such nostalgic memories. I didn't get to the final boss with Green Goblin unfortunately but overall it was an awesome Spider Man game
This was the best spiderman game back in the day. I loved it. I wish they remake this.

I loved this game when I was 9!!! I don’t remember beating it, but I got pretty far!! I’ll never forget how ecstatic I was when I got this for Christmas in 2002.

This game was the sole reason i went through three controllers as a kid. So many good and raging memories with this game.
Mainly hand to hand combat with green goblin, & of course the robots at is oscorp offices
For some reason when I was younger the level with shocker was so hard it took me forever to realize

2:46:40 this whole mission felt like a horror film as a kid, and the sirens gave me so much anxiety haha still does 😳
This mission was so terrifying, I remember it taking me about 4 days to beat
The bank/ subway shocker mission is definitely the main thing i remembered from this game lol what a mission

Man I loved this game when I was kid, played the 2020 Spider-Man and honestly it’s incredible how far gaming has came over the years
This game created core memories for me, shaped my morality (along with the raimi movie trilogy), got me into Spider-Man and comics as a whole

Honestly an underrated Spider-Man game.
Its sequel was such a big game changer for Spider-Man games (and other superhero games like Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction/Batman: Arkham City) that this one kind of gets overshadowed.

Having Sam Raimi as the tutorial instructor in both the first and second games was the cherry on top. Especially, how he mentions he has dealt with us before (referring to the first game in the second one). Sam Raimi, thank you so much for doing Spider-Man TONS of justice in your films. It makes us all feel old now that both the 2002 movie and this game is now 20 years old. I remember getting this game from GameStop around 2003 when I was 5 and playing it non stop until around 10 years later.
Getting stoned then having Bruce Campbell explain the tutorials was wild.
Super hero mode is impossible. I can’t get passed level 4
i remember being 5 years old playing this for the first time on the original X-box. The 2nd video game i've ever played at that point, right behind Need for Speed Most Wanted. ( What a great 2 first games right???). Anyways, I remember getting stuck on the tutuorial for hours and then finally making it through. I remeber not knowing there were missions, so I was just web slinging from rooftop to rooftop beating up on goons. When I finally made it to the warhouse mission I was petrified... I eventually had to force my mom to sit down and watch me play to make sure I would going to be okay fighting all these bad guys. It took me WEEKS to finally clear the warhouse and figure it out. My memory skips straight to the shocker fight in trying to dodge all those sonic waves or whatever in the tunnels ( Almost my first broken controller). Then I remember being stuck in the Vulture mission for so long that the 360 came out and it was time to start my journey on Kung Fu Panda and COD 4. I apologize for the journal entry here... just feeling nostalgic hoping atleast one of you shared a fraction of the same joy during this time with me

This was my first spidey game and the only game to demand a 3d card. 15 years after growing up, I played again and completed the whole story. Great game for its time.

I remember owning spider man 2 on the gamecube. I only played this one when I was at my cousin's house. It was so different and mysterious to me when I first saw it; the web swinging and everything was crazy to me lol. I remember being scared of the scorpion part of the game.

The cutscenes in the game were so good. Especially compared to the rest of the game.
