I would try jiffy cornbread mix and chopped up hotdogs in it. They would be like mini corn dog bites. You could do pancake mix and precooked sausage in it for a fun breakfast for little ones.
Jiffy mix as-is doesn't work that well. I think it needs more egg white and a little more flour to help bind it together. At least, my experience wasn't great using it as-is for corndogs.

Maybe have that top funnel shape unscrew then the tube can be lifted out and properly washed 2 a ok substitute for missing maple syrup is a blend (to taste) of molasses and honey with a little vanilla thrown in As a kid we would sub molasses for chocolate syrup in our milk
Hello Emmy! Just a suggestion, try sticking in a wooden kebab stick right in the middle of the food you are cooking, it allows the food to come out easier and also it will cook longer which means crispier sides!
I just bought one for $12.50 at Goodwill, brand new. Made 2 eggs, pretty impressed. Funny, I used the same Trader Joe's cooking spray in mine. Wonder how it cooks hot dogs, will have to try that next. Thanks for your always entertaining videos.
