Can't beat the views from Horgabost, it's just got everything! Hills, sand, sea and sky, the absolute perfect combination 😊 plus a lovely machair that blooms beautifully in the summer.
Absolutely loved your videos put out over the festive period. We cannot believe that you were on Harris the same time as us. We too had visited the Outer Hebrides for the very first time, starting off at Uists before staying in Lewis. Not realising just how big the islands were, we only managed to explore Lewis and North Harris before having to return to the mainland. I cannot wait to return as we have so much more to explore. You mention other beaches on the west coast, especially and I can highly recommend you look into staying near Uig as the beaches around there are stunning, although a little smaller than Luskentyre etc, but just as stunning. Check out Uig Sands with the Uig Chessmen & one of the best small whisky distilleries (Abhainn Dearg) I’ve experienced. Say hi to Marko! The whisky is amazing. Also Bosta Beach on Bernera with the Iron Age Houses & Reef & Cliff beaches & Mangersta Beach with its sea stacks, to name but a few. In addition if you didn’t already, Husinish was beautiful but the best side is across the dunes from Husinish beach via the sandy track overlooking Scarp (isle). There is a cliff edge walk to a stunning remote beach Traigh Mheilein.
Harris is astonishing and I'm glad you saw those beaches at their finest, with that kind of weather. The Uists, Vatersay and Barra, while not having the same height of hills as Harris, do have some fine beaches as well and some decent hills. Great series of videos.
Hi Murray really enjoyed the series of short films from Harris it brought back fantastic memories for us as we stayed for 2 weeks which incorporated a trip out to St Kilda. Love your content Murray. We had the pleasure of a dinner at the uig sands restaurant in the perfect summer sunset conditions. People paddle boarding and eagles soaring ....I think I could travel the rest of my life to every corner of the globe and struggle to find another place or equal beauty. Lewis and Harris is the kind of place that could bring a tear to your eye when you realise the beauty on your own doorstep. Another great video. Cheers Murray

Ah, Horgabost, a favourite beach of mine plus I usually stay there in the van. There are some great beaches on Lewis too! Tolsta, Cliff Beach and Kneep are my favourites! You were lucky with the weather!

I did see a little blue tent on the dunes..and that was it Was this on a weekend? The lack of people almost has an eerie feel and it’s so beautiful 10 out of 10 for going in the water. It just float and bob for me…just enjoy the water Beautiful photos at the end..take care 🇨🇦❤️🩳🐚

You talk about taking a dook. In Oslo f.ex. they would say: taking a "dukkert". One of many words in norwegian you in GB use today. I've heard british youtubers use the words: sti, beck, fell and tarn. In norwegian:sti, bekk, fjell and tjern. Anyway I liked these videos with photography as a part of them.
I've not seen much blue sky in 2024 and when there is it's covered in white lines so it looks like paradise up there Murray and Can't beat a fresh swim or Dook December to boost the immune system. Another banger Murray and the Steaming boots team😁.

As I've no driving licence or car it'll have to be a " Rabbies " trip after another Caledonian Sleeper journey - which since I had to give up my licence I am a fan of .I too don't like large groups but will cope with some mimibus companions to see this scenery for myself !!!😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
