The fact that a cobbler has 157.000 followers on RUclips shows two things:
he is a master, what he does is art.
And second: people love his personal style, his kindness, his humour. Let’s continue 😊

Hey Steve, it was a pleasure meeting you, it was cool watching you in person repairing shoes. My only regret was not hearing you say "Hammer Time". As I mentioned during the show, you really got the balance right in your channel between boot stuff and other types of leather repair such as bags, jackets and other items. Even having your friend visiting the shop for coffee is cool.

results are fantastic! As a woodworking, I have to handle little nails and screws every so often and it's almost impossible to hold onto them so I use a piar of needle-nose pliers to hold while I set them. It works great and saves your fingers from getting hammered.

First thing a lady will look on a man are his shoes, stay classy gentlemen. Fun project indeed Bedo, love what you're doing. My grandfather was a shoemaker and unfortunately died before I met him, I always admired his tools. Shoemaking and repair is such a great brain exercise, somewhat like McGyver.

Hello, I am a man and I look at ladies and mans footware. Not always first, but that is included when observing ones style or grooming. I agree 100% with your comment. Soiled footware says something about the person. Not necessarily bad, could be busy, could be overlooked, could be not knowing. But a total package includes "Head to toe".
Have yourself a wonderful day! Kelly

What a fine rebuild of those hoof-covers! They were in need of some love. In carpentry, we call those "witness marks", used to align fitted parts. Between those blown out eyelets and the worn out heel linings, I'm wondering if those boots are just a tad too large for the man wearing them? Beautiful job of bringing those back into their like-new condition. Love that cross-hatch sole protector too. God bless you, Steve in your efforts.

Good Morning Steve, Kelly here...loved the ASMR. Yes the commentary is always enjoyable. However, the simple sounds of cutting, sanding, stitching, hammering and even your movements are incredibly soothing and restfull. Now I suppose it might depend on contrast to the every day sounds or noise one is use to. I work construction, so its incredibly noisy. I think you would probably agree, the simple sounds of bird song, crickets, grass blowing and even tires rolling on the pavement are not enjoyed enough by others. There is peace without dialog.

Can i manually glue a thin leather (less than 1mm) inside to cover the canvas lining ? (except the toe part)
Are there long term disadvantages on this?
Or is this a good idea?
