- This was quite a job. Something spilled on the bag and it absorbed all the moisture from the leather and it distorted the leather. This bag was her grandmothers bag so it was important to the customer that we bring it back. Not much was salvaged from the original except for a few lining panels and the hardware. I think it looks presentable.

The only guy on RUclips that gets me to watch handbag restorations. Fantastic work. Thanks for the video.
🤣🤣
😂
LOL, me too!
Same here! I couldn't care less about ladies fashion handbags...but watched from beginning to end! Just such craftsmanship!
I have the pink mini empriente version and love it. So great for travel as well! Welcome to the mini bumbag club, GF. Yay for you! *condup*
Like taking off the radiator cap and sliding a new car under it. Beautiful work.
What a superb comment.
Perfect wording.
I love this
Happy Saturday mink. What a beautiful, versatile little bag. The size is perfect and I love the two different straps. Thank you for your review. Before learning about LV, I wondered why anyone would spend so much money on a bag with the same dull, dull print. Once I researched the brand, I was hooked. *condup*
Lol
You have preserved priceless memories for this girl! $3200 is more than reasonable for your time, talent, & materials. I applaud you for an amazing job! Bless you!!!
I’ve watched many of your videos and this was by far the most impressive because you essentially made this customer a new bag. Amazing work
In this world of mass produced everything it's always refreshing to see a true craftsman at his trade, beautiful work Steve!
Yes!
A 32 hundred dollar job, who else would even attempt to do that quality work for any price. You earned your wages for that skill level involved and the customer should be well pleased with your work. Looking forward to more videos Steve, thanks for sharing.
I swear Steve, right away I read "channel resurrection".
Me, too, until the very end of the video😂
Same! I thought he hasn’t done stuff in a while he’s resurrecting the channel!
I feel like Steve sharpening his utility blade is such a great parallel to him repairing all these old shoes/bags that would be cheaper to just buy new.
Good morning Steve, have been missing you!! Always beautiful work!! Kelly from Canada😊
Craftsmanship comes at a price. Well done.
"nOt An OrIgInAl"... dude - this is BETTER
My family has a quirky sense of humor and we have one or two stories (which may or may not be true) of family members restoring or recreating items as tribute that later the original owner never reuses or really appreciates. Like "oh, you restored my old razor/cooking tool/wallet, etc. I never really liked that much! I was tired of using it!'
I just bought a vintage double sided Chanel flap, and it was so intriguing to watch this resurrection! Missed your videos, Steve! Amazing job!
I’m sooooo happy for the grand daughter. You did an amazing job. I’m glad I got to see this. I was thinking about you Steve cause I have not seen a notification for months. I just missed you so I manually typed in your Chanel name to see you. So glad I did. There’s something so special about you and what you do to make people smile again. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Mr Steve Bedo, the master craftsman at work.
This is probably better than a manufactured bag. Great work! Crazy hours but the craftsmanship shows man. 🎉
Buenas noches Steve ,otro maravilloso proyecto resuelto ,Pura artesanía en cada detalle .YOU are The BEST🎩⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👍👍👍👍
This was an excellent video. As a quilter I love it when you restore items that have quilting. You looked and sounded really happy while working on this one. It must’ve been an exciting and fulfilling project.
The cover stitching matches the body stitching when closed. Amazing. Looks awesome as usual.
WOW! JUST WOW Steve! I am again blown away, as I knew I would be! This video was well worth the wait. Incredible work, as always! Looking forward to seeing more from you as you catch up on your work!
I was glad that I had misread the title. I was afraid you had been hacked and your channel stolen. You must be proud to be in the category of, Master Worker.
Awesome job, Steve. Really enjoyed watching you restore this special keepsake for the customer. ❤️
Good to see you again..
Beautiful job on the bag.
Cant believe the end result... No words. Congrats!
Beautiful work,as always. Now, I know that people will fuss and say it's not a true Chanel. They go jump in a lake. That was her Grandmother's bag. To bring the bag back to life made it worth more, than the bags Chanel offers now. FYI $3200.00 is a bargain. You can't get a black Classic Flap in leather for less than $9000.00 from Chanel.
Wow, what an excellent result! Better than new. I'm sure the customer will be very, very happy!
Great looking purse. The end result is beautiful. It is still a Chanel bag. The hardware is there. Besides, you use the best quality leather there is. And to pass a memory from generation to generation is priceless anyways.
It looks like it was put near a heater, or was acetone spilt on it. This is an incredible reconstruction.
Makes you wonder if it was like "Here's the bag from that time granny was in an acid attack!".
Fantastic work Steve 🥇👍
I was afraid that this time the repair/resurrection video would end without a single “Hey,man” but thankfully there was a decent one at closing comments section :) Well done Sensei
Great job Steve. It's all ways good to see you make magic. 👍🇦🇲
As usual Steve from a pigs ear to a silk purse well done young man Regards from England
You're mellowing out in your old age but I still love this channel 😂❤
not about the money its about the memories, superb work worth every penny
Loved your redo of the Chanel bag. Genius work.
Flawless work once again! You are incredibly talented both with your hands and narration too. Thank you so much for the upload when you are overwhelmed!!!
Fantastic work and unique skills! Old world craftmanship! Plus, the explanation and story behind the projects you work on is great. Bravo!
Much like Mark Worman can rebuild a Hemi Cuda with a VIN tag and a core support, this is a reconstructed Channel bag. And probably crafted with more heart and integrity than any of them. You made your client happy. Your knowledge experience and expertise do not come cheap!
Great work as always. I really enjoy your videos and truly missed seeing anything new coming out.
That bag was mummified Great resurrection!
incredible work, Steve. I don't care about brand names so in my opinion, it's better than new... it's a Bedo's Bag!
Beautiful job. What a treasure to have🤍
Great work Steve $3200 is very reasonable in my opinion you can’t put a price on sentimental value the lady will be pleased with the outcome I’m sure great to see you back Steve all the best
Great work.. we're all glad you're back.
Steve thanks for saying you had to do things three times. I am working on a tote bag, nothing crazy, but it’s my first time doing rolled handles and tray bottoms and all that . What could have should have been (and in the future will be ) a half day build has taken weeks of learning and doubt and changing my mind. . Good to know that even the pro of pros can struggle. And thanks for your videos. I’ve learned a lot.
Awesome job. Thanks Steve.
Fantastic video and great job on the restoration of the bag! You are a great craftsmen and artist!
Great job and very interesting to watch. You have a great skill. Thanks for sharing. 👍👍👍
We LOVE YOU! Great JOB!😍
Just one word Steve: WOW!! You are a Master Restorer. I was riveted watching your amazing, detailed craftsmanship. The price sounds just right to me, especially for a piece that means something special to the costumer. So glad you are in my neck of the woods. Have a great summer!
Superbly done.
What a great job.
You are so meticulous in this reconstruction. For the effort that must have gone into it I think the price is fair. I don’t know what these bags originally cost or what they go for now, but at the very least she now has essentially a brand new bag.
The Chanel-Bedo collab! I understand why she had the bag restored. This model is impossible to find. Gorgeous restoration!!!
Exactly. Never seen a double flap
Never seen a double compartment bag like this, not just a back open section. This bag must get thick AF if it's loaded up on both sides, though.
HI, STEVE! At first I read "channel resurrection" and instantly wondered...
WHERE THE HELL YA BEEN!?
Glad to see you!
absolutely beautiful
Beautiful work
A masterpiece.
Magnificent work! You are a true artist and craftsman!
I wholeheartedly agree with you. A real craftsman and an artist!!!🥰
Cela faisait longtemps, contente de vous revoir. Beau travail, comme toujours. Du Québec.
You never fail to impress and amaze. Yep, didn’t think there’d be a day I’d watch over half an hour of handbag work. But you got me.
🤣🤣🤣
Love watching your bag restoration’s amazingly talented always amazed ❤️
The sharpening doesn’t trigger so much since that one time I seen you replace the blade. That gave me hope! 😂
Nice watch :) And great job on the remake of the bag :)
Killer job, Steve!
Another great job!
Finally another video!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Bravo, Steve! Bravo!
I became friends with my local cobbler shop. I give him a free newspaper every week and he'll do small things for me for free. Heel caps on shoes, adjusting a belt to give to a friend, stitching a handbag strap back on, and a new pair of shoe laces.
Steve, you are a magic man! Your work is always so beautiful and you are always right about the jobs.... It's about what the customer wants! You provide a service and you're great at what you do..... just ignore those negative comments!!! I love watching you work!!
You're a true artisan
The best I have seen, magical better than Pen And teller.
Got to say your pretty dang good. Excellent work.
As long as your job outcome is guaranteed and you can sustain your living and your family we come in second place man if there’s anyone who doesn’t understand that is their problem, keep on good health 🙏🏽
Steve, Absolutely Incredible redo ! All the best form N.H. U.S.A.
Wow great job. That is definitely a Channel bag. The bag new is over eighteen thousand dollars.
HEY STEVE! LONG TIME NO SEE.. Great video, nice rebuild.
You are a master craftsman
Your leather is real. Chanel now a days seems like it's bonded leather!
I’m amazed how you can make such a beautiful bag from basically scratch . You are one talented guy and I do miss the videos but as you say two hands and 24 hours. Look forward to the next one. I guess I have to be content with the reruns lol.
beautiful work.
looks amazing
Resurrection of Attic’s find, excellent job Steve 🏆🥇
You made her a new bag, hope you charged her for a new bag... good job Steve!
Another great video and what an excellent result. Thanks for sharing Steve.
Hey Steve thanks for making these videos. I love the level of detail you put into your steps and supplies you use. Hammer time!!
Always a great video when I get a "Hey Man!" and a razor blade sharpen. Good skill levels. Love it!
Heat damage much..... (sigh)... I can remember back when houses were heated with floor furnace systems.
Literally a natural gas furnace hanging from the floor with a large metal grate over it... a terror to parents of crawling and other young children.
Items set on the floor too near the furnace would get damaged.
The shrinking of the leather reminds me of those floor furnace systems.
Wow an amazing video. Great bag. Looks great.
wow you are a true craftsman sir.great videos love to see the beautiful work you do pal
😂😂😂😂 I just said "trigger time" out load right before you started to sharpen the blade 😆😆😆
jumbo size. I had the same bag. as always a great job!
You really have gold hands! Excellent job as always! Will be waiting for more videos.
Lovely work as always
I enjoy watching your videos. Your skills are impressive!
You could keep the other flaps that you didn’t like and use them as part of a new custom bag that you can create.
Glad to see you back
Amazing skills as always ! ! The occasional background music was a nice treat I’m sure it was unintentional tho lol
Great job, Steve! Thanks for the update and for all your hard work on making the video. As if what you do wasn't already difficult :).
Fantastic work and video Steve.
