The knowlege presented with the comedy is a fantastic way for us to learn something in an entertaining yet very factual way. Don't ever stop doing this sort of content Joe, you really are helping us!
We all come for the drawings and the stand-up comedy Joe. The nerd-stuff is just a bonus.
Thanx for taking the time and all the knowledge..really making a massive difference
I like the controlled movement while doing rope pullovers. Feel the most in all positions. Just make sure you aren’t using momentum and are actually controlling the entire time.
Thank you so much!!! Love it all
This is amazing. Thank you
Gonna try to incorporate the tipps in my back workout today 💪🏽
Thx a lot.
nice !! fez parecer ser simples sua explicação.
Thank you for this! Amazing video and loved nerding out with the physics! I've started getting serious about hitting the gym since Aug and I haven't tried pulldowns with the rope yet. Can't wait to integrate this now after the series!
What's with the low view counts. This is gold.
Thank you very much coach! I appreciate you
You definitely stepped up your stick figure drawing game, kudos...Mr. Ross ⛰️🎨💪
Joe u r great coachand rare in the fitness industry 🙏🙏👍👍
I love the Nerd Stuff!
Drawings are a piece of 🎨
One-Cut-Joe should be your new handle (or at least a hashtag).
Fantastic stuff Joe, thank you 🙏
Please can you elaborate a bit more on why you suggest rounding the back slightly (into flexion?) rather than a neutral spine or slight extension? I’ve been doing these religiously for a few months and love the exercise. I realise now I’ve been stood too far away (making it easy at the top) but I always tend to stick my tailbone out a bit like I would on a squat or deadlift, because I’ve always been told a rounded back was bad 🤯 Thank you 🙏
I'd like some clarification on this as well. Really appreciated these videos!
The position of the rib cage should change the ability for lats to pull
Big fan of yours technique and lam following all. Please one video on side pec development (shoulder dominate) lower chest and serratus anterior.
You should do a similar video for regular lat pull-downs. It’s like soo awkward for me to restrict and depress while doing lat pull downs, same thing with at the top eccentrically letting my scapulas stretch back out
Really awesome video, as always. Thanks! Has to be said, you’d be a really good school physics teacher too! :)
Joe's School of Art
Joe i gotta tell you how awesome your sweet stick drawings are - disney should take you under contract!
It’s funny how he draws a peach for the pelvis
i love your in depth nerdy videos. Can you do one on how to target the Teres Major the best? nebed heard anyone talk about it in detail
Keep doing the good work
Where on your pull day would you add these and does exercise order make a difference? Cheers mate keep the videos and tutorials coming. Very much appreciated.
Not sure if you are open to random input on this, but as a lifter with 32 years experience, I have come to value sequencing pullovers quite early in my pull routine. I'll generally start with a deadlift variation to activate the entire back and posterior chain, without stressing the biceps/brachialis too heavily (I Use Bear Grips or figure 8's to preserve my arms), then I'll move to Standing pullovers as demonstrated here, to isolate and further work the lats , then whatever Row or pulldown variation(s) I am including, come at the end, when I'm very grateful for the arm flexors jumping in a little to assist the back muscles to work past their point of fatigue. I find, as an older battle-worn lifter, that this means I get more stimulus without using poundage that falls the wrong side of the risk/reward curve for my joints. I only wish I had started training older, younger ;-)
Great video as always, could you please shed a light on forearm splints? I get a shooting pain up my forearms when doing any supinated curls.
Can you make video series about mechanical drop sets for any muscle groups please
How die he knew I am pooping? 🤯😵
This internal moment arm stuff is pretty much the same as the cam of cable machines.
19m 48s - the moment a biomechanical stick-man, becomes a dude touching his junk, shouting 'Yay!!' - Planet Fitness alarm triggered.
Is there any advantage to using two ropes on a dual cable setup with arms in more of an upper arm abducted Y starting position vs arms directly out in front. Also, are there any cues to use once lat is approaching the shortened position (I.e. should I supinate hands and drive elbows hard into lats or keep hands neutral)
niceeee
what if you're doing single arm pullover with the arm completely overhead like in the drawing, would you be able to take the pec out of the movement by abducting away from the body horizontally as you come down, i.e. your arm comes down diagonally. Would it be worth the distraction even if it did work?
Joe should we retract scapula only for rows and for focus on pulldowns etc for lats protraction?
Which gym is this filmed at Coach!!!???
Over 40 minutes of video in total on how to execute rope pullovers? Heaheheaheah
You’re welcome
Well the human body is very comlex.
💯💯
