Soooo I've had my sewing machine for 8 years and have never cleaned it. Ever. And ohhh my was it quite the experience!

Last year my base plate on my machine popped up and I couldn’t get it to snap back on. I thought there was something wrong with my machine. I showed my husband and he laughed and cleaned the lint out from under it. The base plate snapped right back in. It puzzles me that my husband who has never sewed anything in his life knew what was wrong with my machine, 🤗

Ive only had my machine since October and my base plate has been off more times than I care to remember. My thread keeps getting chewed up by the speed dogs. I clean it out every time and so far nothings actually came out except the chewed up thread. 🤭
