I drive a gladiator, but will be first in line to say Jeep has lost their minds with their pricing. They are essentially pricing themselves out of the market and soon out of existence. I love my Gladiator, but even after an over 10K discount, it only felt like this is what it should have been priced at MSRP to begin with.
Thanks for the great drive. You know Chris is a true enthusiast because half the time he says, “This vehicle is terrific! But go buy a used one…” thanks again!
Yeah it's truly tragic because it's not even a awful car is it great he'll no decently versatile it would sell amazingly if it was like 35k but it's like 70k and that's cheap I've seen gladiators marked up to 80k which is absurd mt durango a 2013 same engine I bought for 3 grand with basically similar tech 😭
Trucks start at the 2500/HD class. All light-duty pickups have become fashion accessories. They're essentially clutch purses for men, but that's an insult to clutches since those haul more cargo than most trucks that men buy.
I think it actually does have a graphics package of some sort, Topher has a video of off-roading a blue one that had some pretty cool graphics on the bed!
Chris, Do you remember the single cab Gladiator concept from a few years back? Jeep still has customers for a 2 door Wrangler, I don't see why they would not have them for a 'purist' 2 door Gladiator. 🤔
I have a 2014 jku. I mean it’s not a terrible vehicle, it rides like a damn 1800s wagon ,the 3.6 hasn’t broke yet, but I’ve replaced damn near every part aside from it. Rear main seal, Engine oil cooler, starter, alternator, axle bearings were shredding themselves, the anti theft systems Bugs out and won’t let it crank sometimes, etc. it’s left me stranded and scared on more than one occasion. Compared to my 2016 4runner which has never had work done aside from fluids and breaks. I just can’t recommend a Jeep at the price point where a 4runner is better and cheaper ( pre 2024 model)
The only thing the Gladiator has over the other mid-sized trucks like the Tacoma and Ranger is that you can option a manual transmission with all the bells and whistles. The price is still horrendous.
I’ve never owned an automatic transmission vehicle. Now my only choices are the new Tacoma which I’m nervous as hell about buying, and that Mojave which I never thought I’d even consider buying! Bring on the big fat discounts everyone has been talking about and the Mojave it’ll be. I don’t like that it needs 35” just to look ok.
Hi topher can you try the two-door Jeep version? In my opinion, it is the best Jeep version you can try. Because your reviews are professional and I like to see them, it would be appropriate, beautiful and suitable.
especially 2nd gear, makes a lot of noise and the gladiator accelerates so slow when trying to merge in traffic especially when when you floor it. the powertrain is an accident risk on road in this platform. it is a good engine and transmission overall but not in a vehicle of this weight/size
This right here is a perfect example of a truck that really isn’t meant for people who need a truck. It’s more of a cool toy than anything. 6k towing capacity for 71k, when you can get something like a ranger that tows 7500+ for 47k. This is Stellantis for ya. And let’s be honest, less than 15% of people who buy this are actually going to use it off-road.
@@TheTopher Thanks. I think Jeep should have made this an honest truck, no removable doors or top, add sound insulation and they may have had better success. These have been hit hard by depreciation in the used market
That G gets going and alot smother in shifts than my Tacoma Pro. Absolutely hate the tranny/motor my Taco. Its a Jeep, there is gonna be noise. 😂 Have you reviewed a Tacoma ? G3..
@@DylBuilder1 I had a 2012 wrangler manual and it was a lot of fun. Much better than an automatic imo at least. But people are going to hate in my preference no matter what what.
It is expensive, but a Tacoma Trailhunter is similarly priced and in that case I’d much rather the Jeep I think the alpine in the jeeps is fantastic, clear and I love the strong bass. We love our lifted 2021 Wrangler manual. Great fun on and off road especially with the cold air intake. Just took it on a road trip to NYC (about 400 mi one way) and averaged 21 mpg.
We got a loaded 2021 Wrangler Unlimited Sahara Manual new for $51k (CDN), and we were looking at a comparable 2024 and it’s like $68k lol. Won’t be purchasing a new Jeep any time soon.
And to think my dad actually liked jeep. Goddamn. Dad, normally parents are disappointed with their kids but I’m disappointed in you. $71 k for this trash? Like jus5 get a Lexus tx or Tacoma edition with caramel seats or whatever they sell these days.
That price is an embarrassment.
To be fair, unlike the Wrangler, you can get a pretty big discount on the Gladiator
That’s literally why he said your better off buying one used 😅
I have the 2020 and the only difference I see is the new screen lol.
don't buy it then, nobody put a gun to your head

Biden Build Back Better Plan 🤬
100%
Nothing is 40-50k car anymore. Lunch is 17 bucks not 7
I've seen a few Gladiator X's dropping to $53K
Great video! Just bought a 2024 Mojave X and I absolutely love it!
72k for a juck is tragic
Can buy a HD diesel with decent options
At that point just start looking at the Ford Ranger Raptor.
Love the vids man!
71k for a 6k towing capacity, what have "trucks" come to
Almost like it's not a truck built for towing, wild
@@ElliWoelfin yeah but at the same cost of a raptor, which does everything better. Wild.

I love my gladiators 😊
I like the rubicon, but I feel like the Raptor lineup is far superior for Baja rated stuff. Especially at that price point.
I just wish the Ranger Raptor wasn't so ugly
@@travroy I feel like it needs a cool graphics package or something. It just seems a little nerfed compared to the other raptors.

It has great room inside without being extra wide. Also, if you like the look of bricks it is a pretty sweet brick.
The Pentastar 3.6l V6 never disappoints
I stopped at $71k…..sorry but I gave the video a 👍
My 4xe Sahara was Sarge Green. Such a great color, especially for a Jeep. Stood out amongst the sea of silver, black, and blue Jeeps here in FL.
I thought by the hood they'd put the 6.4 in here 😂

Crazy how many people don't know what this Jeep is.
That’s was cool!
After seeing how Stellantis responded to their dealers recently, I would rather stay away from Stellantis and watch them fall.
Hi topher can you try the two-door Jeep version? In my opinion, it is the best Jeep version you can try. Because your reviews are professional and I like to see them, it would be appropriate, beautiful and suitable.
Unfortunately there's no 2 door version of the Gladiator.

awesome❤❤

The Nissan Frontier actually has max towing capability in the segment. At least that's what they said in their ad. They're probably lying.
Would you recommend the gladiator or the Wrangler for a family of two?
I personally prefer the Wrangler. Unless you need a bed, the Wrangler is a tidier, and in my opinion, better looking package.
None, they are both garbage
No lane control ?
Needs the Hurricane I-6
The new screen makes the dash look exactly like a tacoma.
What's the difference between the Mojave and Mojave X?
$10k and off-road cameras, steel bumpers, body-color hardtop and fenders, full-time transfer case.

What's with humanity's obsession with the letter X💀💀
It's provocative, it gets the people goin!
Also 0w 20 oil lets you know how long they expect the product to last
