I'm almost done with the Darling Cardigan. My goodness, the Plaket is so long to knit 😳, but it is worthed, it makes a beautiful finish and hold the front. Thank you so much for your explanations. I am already looking for the yarn to make another one. I am now using Drops Air.

Excellent tutorial. I like the tips you have included like marking the first and last stitches after casting to make it easier when picking up stitches later on.

Love this buttonband technique! Don’t love having to pick up stitches around the whole cardigan, but the end result will be worth it. 😊
It’s absolutely gorgeous result. I have never seen such a technique. But pay attention that you pick up the same amount of stitches for both sides. I had to rip out mine and do it again 😂 but its so worth it ❤

I love this cardigan, particularly the placket. I've not seen that technique on a placket before and it really finishes the sweater off nicely. I might give this one a try. :)

I’ll definitely be adding this to my knitting queue. I’ve never made a cardigan before as the button band has always scared me, but I love your tutorials and have made several of your patterns already, plus im currently working on the Love Letter Top at the moment, so I know I’ll be in safe hands. I have some Drops Karisma and Drops Mohair in my stash, so I’ll have to swatch it and see if I can get gauge. It’s such a beautiful cardigan ❤

Hi Kika! Thanks for this great tutorial! This was my first knitting project and I absolutely fell in love with knitting. I followed this video along with the pattern. I don’t know why my front ended up a bit shorter than the back side 🤔 I’m going to do another one with a mohair yarn this time and try to fix what went wrong! Whoa - your Italian cast on for the button band just blew my mind! I have only ever seen it done so that the knit stitch must be knit through the back loop on the first row. Do you have a tutorial for this kind of Italian cast on? Can this be applied in the round as well?

A placket is an opening made in the middle of a piece of fabric. It doesn’t have an open end.
Aha interesting, thank you for letting me know as I’m not native English and have just seen this words in other knit patterns used. What would be a better word for it? Just button band maybe? 🤔
@@Kutovakika I wasn’t quite accurate, any opening in any position that has been cut to create an opening, with a strip of fabric sewn along the raw edge and hemmed down on the other side of the strip. The binding is turned inwards and press studs can be sewn along the binding, or button holes sewn through the main fabric and one side of the binding. The other side holding the buttons. Really difficult to get a smooth kink free finish. God bless zips.

lovely! I'm a beginner in knitting, since i am more of a crocheter, but I'd just like to know how many grams of yarn you need and how long it takes to knit a cardigan. I also noticed you were using multiple knitting needles for different parts. Should i buy 2 or 3 knitting needles?
Could you do videos on the patterns in your book? Even if it's paywalled? Really want to knit the cloud sweater but I think a visual guide would be helpful!
