One of the best aspects of this luxurious show and tell is that it really does reveal that some things do not meet their goal and that you learn from it and go on from there, in such a steadfast way. I think you give courage to so many knitters who could be scared of making a mistake or not having the outcome dreamt of. You remain intrepid and inspiring! What you do produce is just gorgeous!
Love the honest inclusion of unfinished projects - relatable! I do love the yellow lacy though! Maybe the inspiration will come back and it’ll get a second chance 😂😍
I love how you show the true side of knitting! I think at times, we all get caught up while consuming knitting youtube/knitstagram/ravelry post, and start to think that every project must turn out right the first time, or we should only have a certain number of WIPs, or its not okay to fall out of love with a project, or we need to knit at a certain frequency. I really appreciated your openness, because I think many of us can relate :)
HI, I found you yesterday while I was looking for inspiration..... Your knits are beautiful. I cannot decide which one to make first. I love your happy and down to earth personality. I watched your wedding dress video yesterday .... so real... Thank you so much for sharing your creativity and life ups and downs. Claudia
I am a big fan . Making a hat and sweater from your book! You should do another walk through of your book for people who missed the release.I love the Sailor Swift top and bought that pattern too!
It makes total sense that writing the pattern when the knitting is fresh is much easier. Just do it girl!!!❤. Your style and designs are unique and elegant, love them all! 🎉
Love, love, love your designs. Especially, the lace cardigan 😮. I also think your pattern writing is awesome. Very detailed but not too wordy. You are also, one of the only designers who has video support. It really shows, your love and enthusiasm for knitting.
I am part way through the sleeves of my stay up til dawn sweater from your book....had a hat on my to do list, but now I have seen your "coming soon" items I will have to have a rethink!!!! I love all your designs......I just need MORE TIME TO KNIT!!!!!! 😂
Hello, thank you for your lovely podcasts, they’re a joy and so inspirational. I am looking forward to knitting your gorgeous Honey Cardigan and wondered if you do a tutorial for your crochet buttons? They’re so beautiful and I’d love to complete with them. Happy Knitting 🧶
I’m in middle of making two of your designs. The stripe hype dress and the salty days sweater. Your instructions are so easy to follow and your tutorial videos help immensely. Thank you so so much. ❤
Thank you for normalizing this process, Kika. I've been knitting since March of this year and I currently have 7 projects on needles and I've only finished 4. I keep telling myself I have to finish something before I cast on something new, and I have a whole library full of patterns and yarn that I've purchased, but I rarely find the motivation to really see something through. I sincerely appreciate your willingness to show us your wip graveyard, and the reassurance you offer that this should be fun and exciting and cherished. It's OK to change your mind and go in a new direction and I'm grateful for the reminder.
The last one in pink is.... suuuperbe!!!! the colors of pink is fantstic... can you tell us the name and brand and color of this whool!!!?? and Kika.. don't worry if you finish or not some projet... we respect you in your crativity!!
Hello Kika! It is so amazing to watch you create such beautiful and unique knitwear. Thank you for sharing your creative process with us. PLEASE finish the Honeymoon Cardi asap and publish the pattern…can’t wait to make one for myself❤
I was 4 or 5 years old when I was first introduced to knitting. It was such a comforting, relaxing time. My grandmother would put me on her lap and let me wrap the yarn around the stitches, and eventually, hold the needles while she guided me. Her patience was amazing. I haven’t knitted in years, but came across your channel and I’m obsessed again! Thank you for your content!?❤
Thanks for sharing. Right now I'm working on the Nuffield Tie by Nadine Dransfield, except I am loom knitting it, instead of needle knitting it. I made a swatch, and, since it’s in linen stitch, I am adding a lifeline every ten or so rows. The rows of my acrylic swatch shrunk dramatically after washing and drying (in a net), and my stitches ended up being exactly half the number of the project swatch. It was some wild figuring, but it's going swimmingly, especially with little bits of red straw on every other peg, and a reminder on my alteration notes which ones I'm slipping in front and whichever ones I'm knitting. Linen stitch is so easy to mess up. I'm contemplating whether or not to add some cotton fabric, to go onto the back of the tie, sewing it onto the edges with the ladder stitch. I really like your yellow lace top, and I hope you make something of it. It's really very pretty.
I honestly don't know how you get sooo much done. Love everything, especially the pale pink lacy sweater. We're going to be spoilt for choice when all the patterns are on the Web page. Thank you for all you do ❤
Knit Along with you would be amazing. 😊🤩 If you have time to make that happen, many of us would be jumpig up and down with joy. Also the basic raglan sweater sounds great... Maybe combine those two...
The wishbone one is gorgeous! I love it when cables run down into (or up into) ribbing. So I'm looking forward to that pattern! And the love letter lace top is fabulous. I've never knitted a summer top so that could be my first. I also love the last one - that shade of pink is beautiful! I love all of your knits - and the crocheted bag is lovely too!
Love your videos and positive attitude! I appreciate the sharing of your graveyard of unfinished projects. Let's face it, we all have them and like to ignore them. I am feeling inspired after watching you to work with my pandemic yarn I spun on lockdown and use it for a sweater. I have been feeling a bit stuck on a direction but now think I can dive in and enjoy it!
I think it's so impressive how you're able to channel all your creativity and vision into these garments! The Salty Days sweater is my sweater project for the fall and I'm so excited to start it! ❤
I’m a new knitter experienced crocheter. I bit the bullet and casted on the salty days sweater as my first knitting project. I am not disappointed. Between her pattern and tutorial I’m doing well with it.
Love your sweaters. Seeing all those stripes makes me want to make a striped sweater. I'm in Australia so we're coming into spring right now and it has made me keen to make summer top. I made two sweaters this winter just gone and I have started a cardigan. However, I was sucked in by a cute summer top so now I knit that and the cardigan on alternate evenings. Hopefully the top won't take long though as it's quite thick cotton and knitted on 6mm needles. Yay.
Beautiful colors, I like especially the one you are wearing, simple, candy pink! That will be on my to do list! I am working on a sweater right now with Alpaca and a combination of something can’t recall! When I finish it, hopefully there might be a way to share the picture!
I have 6 unfinished projects, and some date back 3 years. I really want to finish them, but also , I secretly wish someone would help me finish them, so I can move on, to new projects I have in mind..with nicer yarn 🧶 😅😬🤷🏻♀️. Your pieces are so neat and pretty ! 🙌🏻💕🌸💫
Hello! I really enjoy your RUclips channel. You have such a positive upbeat way about you. Your Creations are gorgeous. Thank you for sharing your work with us. Stephanie from sunny California
All of these project are STUNNING! With the autumn approaching in looking forward to cozy evenings knitting! That wishbone sweater is my fave! I can’t wait to see it finished and can’t wait for the pattern!!!
No pressure, but I‘d appreciate a Wishbone tutorial too! I’m not a beginner, but still not so experienced and it’s wonderful to be able to learn from an expert (and the designer herself, no less!). Lovely, lovely fun stripey tops…. And thanks for staying real and showing not everything you do is immediately „gold”!
I feel so much better that you too get distracted at end of a project! You have inspired me to concentrate on quality completion and making handmade rather than homemade!
I absolutely adore all of your designs and have a few in my Ravelry library. Unlike you, I knit for my family and always have multiple projects on my needles. I really need to set aside the time to knit one if your patterns for myself. It will be hard I pick one though because I love so many!!
I’m the person 🙋♀️ waiting for your wishbone. In fact, I know several who would like it. We have a Kika fans Ravelry group and several of us were just discussing how we want to have a Wishbone KAL this fall and we are ALL wanting the tutorial. We love your designs and videos. And thanks for sharing your UFO’s. It’s good to know you’re not superhuman lol
I am so happy you popped up on my feed this morning. It is very nice to "meet" you! I was hoping to find a new-to-me designer to try in 2024 and I am already shopping your patterns! Lots of love from the Pacific Northwest 🧡
I think you are the cat's meow! Your energy and vision comes across beautifully in your podcasts. You are the first podcaster that I found when I started knitting a year ago. I really appreciate your tutorials. As a left handed knitted who struggles with garment patterns, I am always looking to follow along a tutorial with the pattern. I am especially looking forward to the pattern for that pink cardigan since it looks like something I can tackle with my beginner level. Thank you so much- from sunny and hot, Florida, USA.
Thank you! Love to see all the projects you are finished, working on and dreaming of! I have the Wishbone Sweater on my list for Fall/|Winter and I am happy to wait patiently for your Tutorial as I know it will make the knitting experience more enjoyable. You are a very prolific designer and it is very fun and interesting to see your design development you are doing great!

I just started a 2 color Stripe Hype sweater. I bought yarn at the Michigan Fiber Festival from Kelbourne Woolens. My colors are Natural and Oatmeal Heather.
Kika, I love all your knits! I just ordered some yarn so I can make the salty days sweater. Can't wait! Thank you for making the video tutorials for us! I find tutorials so helpful when working on bigger sweater projects. Your hard work is appreciated and your designs are so polished and beautiful! ❤❤❤
Making the ivy sweater from your book and the lace yoke is absolutely angelic with the silk mohair 💕 Balloon sleeves aren’t really my style so I’m toning them down a bit, but I’ll leave a bit of extra room to keep the floaty vibe going!
I'm working on a solid (Stripe) Hype Sweater in mustard! I don't have a big stash so I chose to make it in one solid color! I'm so excited for the Darling Cardigan too. I can't wait for it!! 😍
Hi Kika, I love your work, just finished a love note in Drops Bella. Came out well. I'm now swatching for a Back2summer blouse by Anna Schmidt in the same yarn. I bought tons of it from Wool Warehouse. I dont know why😂

Love all of these! I’m looking forward to your easy raglan sweater to be my first knit garment project! I’ve always wanted to knit a sweater, but am still a beginner so I’m REALLY looking forward to that pattern and hopefully tutorial. I think a beginner sweater tutorial would be great for the rookies.
Love your tutorials, I often recommend your patterns and the video for my friends when I teach them to knit….. so nice they can watch and rewatch as they go…….we understand life happens and it very much is a balance of work and fun things you enjoy… never lose sight of the joy… hugs… will look forward to the new ones coming up.
