When I started knitting, I was on the lookout for some inspiration and came across Kika’s channel. And that was exactly what I needed - a person so much in love with what she’s doing, full of buzz and enthusiasm. Love it! 🥰
Kika, you don't know how much I love these vlogs!! It's also just so inspiring to see how knitting is so natural for you and I'm always amazed on how you free hand your knits, and then are able to create a pattern with it. I also love knitting while watching these vlogs!! 30 min vlogs are the best !!!
Pleaseeeee please please make a pattern for the blue sweater you made up last summer. I absolutely adore it. It was one of my inspirations for learning how to knit. I am currently working on your ooh la la top and am loving it ❤
Hi. I am impressed by your knowledge of knitting, and your beautiful items you knit. I like the wedding dress you knitted in such a short time before your wedding. It came out beautifully. You looked beautiful in your wedding dress. I have been knitting again after watching a podcast with the name Fruity Knitting. Your top in stripes with a darker color and white came out great. I knitted a blanket in garter stitch for my granddaughter in the colors of her University which she into a few days ago. She called me on Face Time in the evening she moved to her dorm and she showed it to me putting the blanket on her bed. I am happy that she likes it and will enjoy using it. Take Care. 😊
Great advice for new knitters. I struggled to knit until I really examined how stitches are formed. Then I was able to develop a knitting method that worked best for me.
I like watching your vlog in Germany. You're always beeing so happy and smiley. Love your knitwork. The colour of the cardigan looks great. Have a beautiful summer over there.
Thank you for another happy and inspirational vlog. I always smile when watching, you have such enthusiasm and positivity which you share. Lovely scenery too. Beautiful colour for this cardigan and your sister's jumper looks lovely too. Thank you again
Kika I loved this podcast! It had everything, travel to Finland, gorgeous scenery, knitting, a food blooper, and a movie! That shade of pink is perfect for your cardigan. I love it! Also your sisters sweater is beautiful too, the icy blue at the top is my favorite color. The cats are so adorable. Please keep including us, I love seeing what Finland looks like and knitting along. I'm ripping out over 6" on a cardigan, it's too long in the body. At least it's an easy fix. But 100% Alpaca is a bit clingy when you're trying to frog. Have a great weekend!
Thank you for the tip, I really appreciate it. Once I got past the bind off row, it went a lot easier. I'm halfway through the ribbing & this time it will be perfect!@@bliblimama3994
Love the colour and Alpaca is sooo soft. Looking forward to seeing your design. I could live in that cottage for sure. Love your tasteHaha Both of you have nail varnish to match your yarn. From Northern Ireland😊I envy you your sunshine as it has been cloudy and very rainy all summer here other than about 10 days in June.🌧️
Im in the U.S and I was finally able to buy your book! So excited! I thought that I bought it for the sweaters, but I'm in love with the accessory patterns. Great job!
Yes, the ties at the front remind me of the bed jackets my granny wore. Great to see you with your sister, knitting together. I never had a sister but my mother and I used to knit when I was in high school. She would knit the body, I'd knit the sleeves then she would assemble. It was such a great combination for the two of us. She passed away when I was completing my university degree many years ago but I still channel her when I am knitting, always thinking how much she'd love to have been alive since knitting is now a daily activity for me.
Your pie looked delicious even though it had a slight accident 😂. Great idea using the knitting needle to test it. Lovely cardigan design and perfect for wearing out to Barbie movie🍿
Oh, I sat on edge waiting for the pie disaster! My family would centainly have scraped it off the carpet, too 😂. I must order your book, it seems to be full of lovely designs
I started knitting two years ago since finding your videos. I bought your book which is so beautifully done. I am currently knitting the cinema sweater and have the Darling cardigan lined up and once that is done I also bought your Salty Days sweater to up my game in knitting! You are an absolute inspiration. I love all of your videos. Thank you!
Kika, your vlogs are as cozy as your knitwear looks! I love watching you and seeing the way you live. I’ve never knit anything but you make it look so enjoyable! You are a blessing. 🥰
I just came across your channel and I love your patterns, your easy creativity and enthusiasm. It is a joy to sit and knit and hear your stories and adventures while I knit.
I like that sweater you were wearing. I just used a linen/cotton yarn from KnitCrate that had those little pieces of straw. I was picking them out as I knitted. So I know what you mean.
Ohhhh I would love a pattern for the big blue oversized sweater! Since you uploaded the vlog in which you knitted it, I couldn’t stop thinking about it and have been searching for a pattern like that ever since! 🩷 It truly is the most perfect laidback summer sweater ☀️
You are just like a shot (drink) of energy - I really enjoy your videos, Kika ..... so happy that the pie could be saved 😀 thank you for you being you.
A lovely podcast, looks so peaceful there perfect for knitting! Only just found your podcasts and so enjoying them, your knitting is beautiful and your patterns.
that pink is indeed PERFECT!!! And so is the idea of putting safety pins to get a precise gauge measure. Wine bottle makes a good rolling pin in a pinch!!
I love your videos and your energy so so much!!!! Plus all your work is amazing!!!! I would totally buy your next book! Haha! I own everything you've made plus your book! You are my all time favorite!😊
I have watched all your videos and love them. I actually watched your wedding dress video a while ago and didn’t realize you had a u-tube channel. Love your designs.
Love your patterns and positive videos! Love the one shoulder top on you. I would buy another book from you as long as you continue to support us w the tutorials- I need those to knit w confidence! Thanks!!!
Your sweater came out beautifully. I just love it! I also love that you include your family at times in your videos, and also events you're involved in outside your knitting. So fun to watch. I'm glad you all still ate the pie! I would have too... 😄 I think one tie on the sweater would look very nice. You can play with creating that style with different closures. You could always just knot the tie instead of making it a bow. That would be less cutesy, as you had mentioned. Great work! Enjoyed the video.
absolutely love the cardigan! the press stud were okay, bet it would look great with wooden buttons too, odd shaped haven't had a chance to purchase your book but i do want it as most of your garments are seamless & that's what i'm trying to teach myself, am on my 1st top down & it's a little wonky, would love if you did a tutorial on just a basic seamless sweater the poor pie, good thing you have clean floors lol i am glad you have kept going with your RUclips channel, you're the best knitting video that's also totally enjoyable! just love it when you take us for small tours around your homes, this country one is adorable & deserves to be preserved for the next generations to come but don't stress trying to get things done, it looks like the country houses are shared, so just share the costs of the restorations, learn also to slow down, that's what country living is about, getting out of the rat race & slowing down to live off the land & what we make ourselves adore your cats, hope to see more of them; it's lovely seeing them in odd videos enjoying your company; have 2 rescues myself who just don't like each other & constantly fight, shame but it's been 5yrs now & they're still not friends the jumper your sister is making is also lovely, looks like it will be very warm too! does all your family knit or do handcrafts? looking forward to your next video, have a great week thanx for sharing
So nice, how both of you, you and your sister, used matching nail polish with your yarn :) Very pleasing detail :D Edit: And I love how you all react to the pie incident with so much humour. Very likeable :)
I love your cardigan! It turned out beautiful! Your cabin is also just lovely! I look forward to the time when you make this sweater into a pattern and tutorial.
Please do a pattern for this cardigan. It’s just what I’m looking for! It is beautiful. Thank you for sharing the beautiful Finnish countryside with us too. I’m in Australia so it’s very different from what I’m used to. Jumpers of any kind in summer is very different from what I’m used to! And I like the idea of being able to safely bask in your gentle sunshine for hours without burning to a crisp and always worrying about skin cancer.
Thank you for sharing a little bit more about yourself. I've been following your vlogs for a long time now. From your cozy apartment to wedding jitters to settling into your new home with Jukka (?). I'm so very grateful you motivated me to pick up the needles and make my first sweater. It's almost finished, thanks to all your tutorials which I go back to all the time 😁 Thank you KiKa!! 🥂
Yes please do make a pattern and tutorial for this beautiful pink cardigan. I love it and I love watching your inspirational videos. I’ve been knitting for about 5 years (started out as a crocheter), but I’ve never knit a sweater or cardigan before. I’m working on getting up the courage to try. Thanks for your inspiration!
Thank you, Kika! Another lovely and informative vlog. I'm so glad you got to enjoy the pie after all! I love your new cardigan in the fluffy yarn. My sister and I are preparing fluffy alpaca yarn like that to make sweaters too. She is dyeing it for us. We love your podcasts and never miss one. I have your book too. Love the designs!
You are such a fun person, energetic! I've never knitted a sweater or anything from top to bottom. I'm quite intimidated by the idea. But somehow, very curious.
Love the cardigan! And, thanks for taking us along to your family cottage... so lovely. We've experienced a similar unfortunate incident at our lake house, but with a blueberry cake... still tasted delish! 🙂 I also saw the Barbie movie with my sister...such fun, we laughed out loud.
Hello from Ireland 🖐 I love your cardigan pattern, the colour of the wool that you used is fabulous, your cottage looks so cosy, thank you for a very interesting episode.
Thank you for a really fun and informative Vlog! It had everything and is very entertaining. Lovely to see you knitting with your sister too. I love how you get an design idea and run with it, it works! Hoping to make the wishbone sweater this fall.
Really hope we get a cardigan pattern!! I started on my first cardigan beginning of summer but I might of picked something too tough for my first one 😅 as long as it’s done by winter I’ll be fine
Another excellent video. Perfect match between knitting and real life moments. I really enjoy watchkng you. I started to knit a year ago with your video tutorials, it's a pleasure to be safely guided and end up with a beauty. Thanks for sharing your creativity and your positive energy.. ❤ from France
Thank you so much for this very enjoyable video. I must say that you were the inspiration for my 1986 sweater dress remake. When I saw your stripe dress you made on your last video.❤😊
Gosh, so happy you mentioned tension! I have crocheted for the past year, and trying to start knitting the last two weeks. Have watched so many of your videos- they are all wonderful, especially loved your one from Seoul- but weirdly have just been applying crochet logic to knitting (which maybe works?) thanks for all your tips and nice videos!
Seeing you with your sister just fills my heart with joy. ♥ And yes to another knitting book! I'm waiting for mine to arrive(I only found you recently). Maybe you'll consider a baby/child knitwear book? Wouldn't that be fun?! hmmmm
I love your cardigan so much. It would be so nice if you wrote up the pattern. I just finished your Salty Days Sweater and it was so much fun to knit. 😊
What a lovely cardigan! I am hoping for a video tutorial as you did with the Salty Days Sweater. I will definitely try to knit that too! Also congrats to your sisters work. That will become a lovely striped sweater. I truly love your videos and patterns and hope you'll keep doing what you do. Cheers from Switzerland 🇨🇭👋🏻🥰
This was such a fun and relaxing video to watch, thank you. Your cardigan turned out beautiful. Shame about the pie, but glad you ate it and enjoyed it anyway!
Lovely vlog and cardigan!! Loved seeing Finland. I grew up in cottage country in Ontario, Canada many decades ago and your landscape is a close match. We also had blueberries everywhere and blueberry pie is also my favorite. I just saw the Barbie movie myself and I took my Purl Soho half and half triangle wrap to the theatre to keep warm. I got a notification for this video when i was working this afternoon. I was so looking forward to it! It's always a pleasure to watch you Kika. Loved the q&a! ❤ Ooh and yes! I'd love a second knitting book.
Thanks for this nice vlog! It’s interesting to see you wearing wool sweater and sleeveless dress at one day. I cannot bear wool knitting or sweaters yet in hot summer! Since you are making cardigans and great idea btw, any plans on correcting your old knitting patterns? There is old cardigan pattern called Cinnamon Twist cardigan but there are errors. Since you are a full time knitwear designer, I’d appreciate if you went back and corrected it, it’s beautiful! Not sure you know, but your beautiful knitting books are sold in Baneul store in Seoul, which you visited in Korea 😊
Please do make a pattern for the cardigan! It's so pretty and I'd love to make one!
Yes please make the pattern Thank Yo
When I started knitting, I was on the lookout for some inspiration and came across Kika’s channel. And that was exactly what I needed - a person so much in love with what she’s doing, full of buzz and enthusiasm. Love it! 🥰

Yes it was the perefct shade of pink! Ah I can't wait for the weather to get a little bit chillier so I can wear my new cardigan :))
100% agree with that beginner tip! Understanding the anatomy of the stitches has gotten me so far in upping my knitting skills.
Im in the U.S and I was finally able to buy your book! So excited! I thought that I bought it for the sweaters, but I'm in love with the accessory patterns. Great job!

I think the cardigan turned out great! And your sisters sweater is gonna be great as well! Love her color choices!
Loved the pie incident. As always your videos are so inspiring. Thank you for taking the time to share your knitting and family.
You are such a fun person, energetic! I've never knitted a sweater or anything from top to bottom. I'm quite intimidated by the idea. But somehow, very curious.
Love your videos, this one did make me laugh. Your tip for smaller needle on purl rows is brilliant. Thank you. 😍

I really enjoy these vlogs as I knit. Thank you for another great video❤
Thank you so much for this very enjoyable video. I must say that you were the inspiration for my 1986 sweater dress remake. When I saw your stripe dress you made on your last video.❤😊
The cord made the cardigan look like a bed-jacket! The snaps are great.
Yes please please make a pattern, with a tutorial! I’d love to try and make this with the cute bow idea ❤
Thank you for another inspiring episode. I love your first knitting book and would love another, no pressure 😂❤
I love the blue sweater. Let’s see it again.
Thanks for sharing your lovely family time
Gosh, so happy you mentioned tension! I have crocheted for the past year, and trying to start knitting the last two weeks. Have watched so many of your videos- they are all wonderful, especially loved your one from Seoul- but weirdly have just been applying crochet logic to knitting (which maybe works?) thanks for all your tips and nice videos!
Beautiful color choice and great cardigan. Maybe the i cord ties idea would work with a longer length cardigan. 🎀
I Love watching your videos! Beautiful cardigan! I really do hope you write another knitting book...:)
Omg I love the end result! 😍 I can't wait to see the pattern/tutorial vid! Groetjes from the (very crowded, indeed 😂) Netherlands! 😘
Yes, we need that pattern and tutorial :)!
Perfect company for my morning knitting and coffee 😊❤
We've all had a pie moment! I most definitely have 😁 you are such an inspiration! Each time I watch your videos I promise to try and do better! 😘
Seeing you with your sister just fills my heart with joy. ♥ And yes to another knitting book! I'm waiting for mine to arrive(I only found you recently). Maybe you'll consider a baby/child knitwear book? Wouldn't that be fun?! hmmmm

Cheers from Switzerland
🇨🇭👋🏻🥰
This was such a fun and relaxing video to watch, thank you. Your cardigan turned out beautiful. Shame about the pie, but glad you ate it and enjoyed it anyway!
Omg a pattern would be so so appreciated!! Looks amazing 😍
Seeing you with your sister is so amazing!! I love your vlogs so much!❤
i feel like i must be knitting when I watch these, i love it
Lovely vlog and cardigan!! The movie was fab! Have a wonderful week.
I really need more cardigans in my wardrobe! I’ll keep my eyes out for the tester call and the pattern in general ❤
I got a notification for this video when i was working this afternoon. I was so looking forward to it! It's always a pleasure to watch you Kika. Loved the q&a! ❤ Ooh and yes! I'd love a second knitting book.
❤❤❤TU for all the tours so beautiful
For some reason, a light blue sweater with lacy bits comes into my mind to close with the cute ties. This pink cardigan is very pretty.
I bought your book at the airport in Helsinki. Possibly the only airport with knitting supplies!
