Hi, running out of yarn is such a ‘bummer’ sorry no other word quite says the same. But, I think if you ripped out the blue bag and continued the cream in-the-round base it could be a nice two, or three colour project bag/pouch.

Hi, Kika, I'm following you for a time and I'm very glad to having found you. I'm used to knitting down-up so it's for this reason that I try to learn new ways to knit.
I have seen your book in finish and english. I was gratefully surprised when I found it in german in Amazon. I wish I could find it in Spanish. I'm from Barcelona. I was living in Sweden for three years so I'm in love of scandinavian culture.
Thanks for sharing your knitting knowledge.
    Congratulations for your work!!

I really appreciate the fact that you often knit with bright or unexpected colours, especially colours you don't see a lot in knitwear. I'm not drawn to light neutrals because I don't look great in most of them so sometimes I overlook patterns because I don't want to do the work of finding out if it would still look good in a different colour.
I would have never thought to knit the sweater you're wearing in that shade of blue but it is so striking.

I can read most of the book titles. Here they are, in case somebody wants to search for them:
8:15 (this book focuses on making bags):
    23番糸で編むエコアンダリヤのかごバッグ
8:45 (left) (this book is about knitting garments for adults -- there are patterns for a couple of sweaters, a hat, fingerless gloves, etc.):
    大人のナチュラルニット
8:45 (right) This one was too blurry for me to read, sorry. :(
9:15 (this book focuses on knitting stitch patterns, including colorwork):
    編み込みと模様編みの棒針パターン
I hope that helps somebody if they want to find these books. :)

I am Japanese, but I knit in English and Japanese.
It's true that Japanese and English have different expressions, so it's difficult! !
Please let me know if there is anything you can't solve in Japanese ☺️☺️
I'm going back to Japan from Sweden at the end of this month, and I'm looking forward to visiting Japanese bookstores!

Hope I could send you more yarn, they are not so expensive here. Crochet bags are a thing here. Hi kika, as always your videos are a pure balm for the soul (and the eyes)
I just finished watching your "24h knitting challenge" video while finishing my own knitting challenge (it's a simple beanie but it was my first project).
You were a good company, it felt like knitting with a friend who is a llttle ball of sunshine :)
I was wandering if you ever thought of making some sort of "knit with me" videos, where you simply talk for a while about whatever you like.
I would honestly love them, your vibes and the visual of your videos remind me of the year I spent in Tallinn, where I learnt how to crochet and knit.
I hope you'll read my comment, regardless from that I love your videos
I hope you have a lovely day! ☀️

Kinokuniya is wonderful. And a special bonus, they have worldwide locations. There’s one in San Francisco where I have shopped many times and like you I have always loved Japanese culture and the opportunity to explore knitting books (and crochet and sewing) is a thrill. I also love the magazines that include sewing patterns, house design and cooking. My guilty pleasure from Kinokuniya? Books that are compilations of tattoo designs. Amazing. When I first became aware of the Japanese aesthetic I noticed all the knitting patterns came in one size. Then I learned about ‘bride’s school’ where women could learn how to cook, clean, design, crochet and knit. The lessons include how to resize any pattern. There are still bride’s schools, although not as popular. And the Japanese stitch dictionaries are phenomenal. It takes a while to apply the chart reading lessons but once you do, WOW. You especially would work wonders with these resources. Thank you for sharing your Asian honeymoon experiences. What fun!💜

With the first bag, if you have a solid paired with a marled color, always join with the solid color. It will look cleaner. With the bag that didn't have enough for a strap, I would find an old bag or purse and connect the strap with a D-ring. You can also sew liners for the bulkier weight yarns if you are worried about things getting caught or falling thru.

Can you use the blue yarn to finish the project bag? The contrast would really pop.

Who is the author of the first crochet book? There is a name at the bottom. You can use all the corded (?) yarn to make one bag since you don't have enough or make smaller bags. All the yarn is beautiful.
