I learned from my buddy, wrap livers in stockings and pull down on a treble. Reduces nibbles and the treble increases direction 😎

"you want to tie your trot line somewhere indiscreet so people dont mess with it and steal your fish." ---proceeds to tie the line to the front lakeside of a dock above the waterline

That day only 6 bullhead cats.
Best days, depends on location. 10 to 15. I have never caught a fish on every hook of a line.
50 percent of the hooks or less is the norm.

Again I good video however trot lines, ( I was taught and my opinion only) are not ever supposed to have the hooks laying on the bottom of the lake or river your fishing. I was taught that what you just put out is called a bank line or a throw line. Trot lines are affixed to a set object like a dead tree or something on both ends to keep the line up off the bottom. I'm not trying to be an ass. I just would like to know why you call this a trot line?
    Good video

Just what my grandfather called it.
When he was catfishing, we would tie one end to the bank or tree and weigh the other end so the bait would be on the bottom, specifically for catfish. I have tied a 2 liter bottle near the last hook to keep it off the bottom. But It didn't change the amount of fish I caught. Just the species.

      No Sir.
My Grandfather would use a slat wooden box catfish trap. But I'm not familiar with the jumper line and box reference.
