I am VERY impressed with your welded joints on the exhaust, your “positioner” and all the ‘accessories’ you used did a really good job. Very impressed. I might have to copy that design! Thank you. Now to find and watch the positioner video! Les
It will be interesting to see how much the changed pipe curvature effects the engine. You've gone to a much tighter radius and that *may* introduce pressure reflections back into the engine exhaust port. Would like to hear it in action! Nice welding work!
Yes, agree. It's a bit of an experiment 😊 I have kept the 'original aftermarket' exhaust and will try to compare them, both sound level and performance (not quite sure how to measure the performance, but will at least try... 🥴)
Wow, those are some nice-looking welds on the down pipes. Many people like the fusion weld look that you get on stainless steel exhaust and intake systems. But unpopular opinion, but I don't like the look. The weld you made looks aesthetically pleasing for the build. And it didn't get the same reaction as fusion welding for me.😅🤔👍
Thanks 🙂 I think it is most common to use TIG when welding exhaust pipes. I don't have a TIG welding machine (yet), and used my MIG welder. I did not use stainless steel for this exhaust (it's too expensive for this budget build). Different welder and steel leaves a different result, and I also removed the bluish discoloration using a rubbing pad to get a more uniform end result. I will have to rust protect it anyway using heat resistant primer and paint. Glad you liked the end result 👍
ahh, this seems to be a duplicate... Google has had problem latest days with comments - they are coming and going... anyway - I'll repeat the answer here: Hi, you are the third one wanting to buy it 😊 Before I decide what to do with it I want to make sure that my self made exhaust is working properly and measure sound level by comparing the two exhaust. I hope to be done in a couple of month, and then make a video where I try to figure out what to do with the remaining parts. Stay tuned!

@@andyspencer6308 I might just do that Andy 😊 I have already given away the seat and one of the side covers to Ryan at the YT-channel: Ryan's garage. Good idea! Thanks for or the tips 😊

Ok tack

Nice job with the Vlog you're doing! Is the CB400 the 27 or 42HP?
Thanks! 🙂 It's the 45HP
...or maybe it is 42HP
Had to check it: 32 KW (44 HP)
You got a good one! A lot of them were made in Germany and were limited to 27hp through the camshaft
Ahh, I did not know about that. 27HP on this bike? The weight is around 200kg if I remember correct, it just makes no sense... :-P
I would like your Motad silencer buy, please answer. Laci
