- Making a new PCP semi-auto valve to reduce valve locking
In this video I will modify my previous project, the semi-auto valve made in an earlier video. That valve had a 6.8mm valve throat, causing it to be really hard to open, on top of that a semi auto valve releases air from the vent hole towards the hammer, causing the valve to remain open for a shorter time, therefore it also needs a stronger spring. I was able to reach 20 PSI consumption with a 350cc tank using a stronger spring, the original spring consumed 10-12 PSI which is a huge improvement from 6-7 PSI, and will be able to cycle the pellet pusher probe. Stay tuned and you'll see this PCP in function!

5mm should be ideal for throat.. With a valve design like that , you can do a raised seat , its exactly what it sounds like , the valcve seat is a thinner ring raised from the surface so the interaction from poppet to valve seat is less surface area.. The benefit is easier sealing , as the same pressure is apllied over a smaller area.. The lip only needs to be raised .5-1mm to make a dramatic difference. Its a good backup plan for when you have valve seating issues.

Loving your videos and the creation process! I'm currently doing similar but with a blow forward design based on the AGD Automag paintball system. I've managed to put together a prototype already but only regulating air output to between 300 and 500 psi (I'm making a paintball marker so low velocity is not a concern). Dude i can i ask a silly question ? What is the point of having summit that Auto re- sets the pellet pusher if you still have to load your next shot pellet by hand ? or are you going to make something that loads that for you ? just curious mate 😁🤘🤘🤘

Yep, from the 1mm vent hole air flows towards the hammer, then theres a specific type of semi auto trigger that automatically cocks even when pulled down. Check my video on the trigger
