Oh wow, that’s such a lovely comment and I’m so pleased you find my videos helpful! It’s so good to find like minded people on RUclips ... I watch a lot of low buy / no buy content myself to keep motivated 😁😁
I’ve done a bit of online browsing recently but I’m a real over thinker when it comes to making purchases so I rarely hit the buy button. Maybe keep things in your trolley and revisit the items a couple of days later to be sure you still want them. Just a suggestion as I tend to do that and I find that it helps me feel sure about anything I buy 😁
I buy online things that arent in my country. Maibe you can put them in the shoping cart, think about them and see if you really need them or want them.
I like how you spoke on “inspirational life.” That’s exactly how I shop. I buy things thinking I can wear it for events that aren’t planned or may not happen . I’m going to only clothes shop for things that are planned.
Yep, I was definitely guilty of that in the past and I think your strategy of only buying things that are already planned is a great way to move forward! Xx
I relate to the urge to spend in autumn and in spring for me. During summer and winter I don‘t get the same urge. I practice minimalism and frugalism but it became very tiring after a few years so I let myself of the hook a bit in 2020. I am excited to challenge myself again in 2021.
That’s so interesting as I’m starting to feel the same way about 2021. This past year has been so hard that I’m going to allow myself to make some purchases in the new year 😁 I’m still intending to practice being minimal and frugal for the most part but will be relaxing on the intensity X
I think I've gotten pretty good at watching my spending even if I slip up once in a while, but I seriously need to do some decluttering. I have too much stuff I don't wear or use.

Waiting out is so difficult! You notice an online sale. A dress costed 35, now it's down to 15. Click :D I'm starting "no buy" month today. A dress was my last purchase.
Ooh good for you! Do let me know how it goes 😁 And I totally get it re waiting it out ... in the end I stopped going into shops and looking online altogether. Now I do allow myself to look occasionally but not buying stuff has become such a habit now that it has gotten a bit easier 😁 x
@@simantha1686 The dress is a hot pink, pop out colour, so I bought it to brighten up my winter days. It will be so distinct in my wardrobe, I will remember that this was my last purchase. I ran out of clothes hangers recently and this should have been a warning I've got too many clothes. Let's stay strong now. All the money needs to be saved for Christmas gifts for family. If I last a "no buy" month, I'll do a "no buy" year for sure.
I loved my no buy year - I hope you save a lot of money on this no buy month because I found that ultimately saving money became a lot more addictive and rewarding than shopping 😉
I buy only new underwear and new shoes. Most clothes are given to me or I buy them at thrift shops. I get books and magazines from the library. I occasionally buy a new house plant. My husband of 49 years enjoys eating in local restaurants. I volunteer at local non-profits and do papercrafts and puzzles. We were able to retire early, when our youngest finished college. My tip is to find friends with similar values, also buy one of the smallest houses in the best neighborhood you can afford. Tina, Al's wife
