I use to love Disney, but not anymore. One is that they exploit not only other people’s creations but also the cultural heritage of the people. Second they are remaking their animated films into live action. And third they only care about is money.

I used to be a huge Disney freak as a kid, but now that I'm an adult, I've become much more cynical and aware of their business practices. Sadly, as long as the stuff they put out is making money, they're gonna continue to make shitty films and tv series. And you're right about the indoctrination part. They take innocent young children and turn them into cruel, horrid monsters. I mean, look at what happened to Shia LaBeouf, Miley Cyrus, Orlando Brown, and especially Lindsay Lohan. And while I like Frozen (mainly the first film), it's certainly not the be-all-end-all of animation, let alone cinema. And if it was up to me (and not my brother), I'd get rid of both Disney Plus and HBO Max. Streaming is no replacement for physical media. 'Nuff said.

“I am Disney Plus.” Love that quote, Fabio. That’s one of the reasons why I enjoy your content, Fabio. You manage to take stuff and make entertainment out of them.
When I have kids, I’ll still show them the classics, like (I’m talking about the original) The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Lion King, Mulan, Hercules, Tarzan, The Emperor’s New Groove, Lilo & Stitch, Toy Story 1 & 2, Monsters, Inc, Finding Nemo, and The Incredibles, and I’ll show them the earlier live-action movies, too, like The Santa Clause 1 & 2, The Parent Trap (1998), The Mighty Ducks Trilogy, Holes, etc and also movies from Touchstone Pictures and Hollywood Pictures when they get a bit older (since Disney owns Touchstone and Hollywood Pictures) like Enemy of the State, Shanghai Noon & Knights, Crimson Tide, The Rock, Metro, Father of the Bride 1 & 2, Con Air, Stakeout, Turner & Hooch, Unbreakable, and much more. With that said, you made an informative video and made understandable points on why you don’t like this company in general. Well done video.

I'm not really a fan of Disney, but I do like a few Disney films and TV shows, esp. Gargoyles and Atlantis: The Lost Empire. But I will say one thing, Disney from the 1920s-1990s is way better than Disney of the mid-2000s to today.
Not to mention I miss the days when Disney's parent company The Walt Disney Company used to have their own production companies like Touchstone Pictures and Hollywood Pictures instead of buying out other companies like 20th Century Fox and most of its assets, Marvel Worldwide (which include Marvel Comics, Marvel Studios, etc.) and Lucasfilms Ltd.

  • @operaanimelover369
    @operaanimelover369 Год назад +5

I have the most formidable love/hate relationship with Disney to the point where I can compare it to how Penicillin was considered the wonder medicine. I use that arguably hyperbolic analogy because the Disney animated films and TV shows I grew up with played a huge role in my formative years. Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and Beauty and the Beast made me appreciate not only the films by their own standards but also made me further appreciate the original fairy tales they were based on as well as the countries that they originated from, with Snow White being written by Germany's Brothers Grimm; Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty being written by France's Charles Perrault, and Beauty and the Beast being written by France's Gabrielle-Suzanne Barbot de Villeneuve before being abridged and republished by Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont. Even Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland, and Winnie the Pooh made me appreciate British literature more, given that they were written respectively by J.M. Barrie, Lewis Carroll, and A.A. Milne. If that were not enough, I had major man crushes on Hercules and Tarzan when I was a very little boy between 5 and 7 years old, and I enjoyed Hercules and Tarzan as movies even to this day even to the point where I made an AU headcanon revolving around Hercules being in an unconditionally loving relationship with both Basuli and Tarzan. Finally, I dare not forget about the love and appreciation I had for Atlantis: The Lost Empire, Treasure Planet, The Lion King, and Mulan as well as for Pixar's A Bug's Life, Toy Story 1 and 2, Up, Wall-E, The Incredibles, and Inside Out because of how beautiful, entertaining, and awesome those films were when I was a child. The films I mentioned made me appreciate the characters and sparked my initial creativity as an animation aficionado.
When we talk about live-action movies, I loved Mary Poppins and Bedknobs and Broomsticks the most because they respectively starred Julie Andrews and Angela Lansbury, who are two of my favorite British thespians of all time, and they also had their own individual charms to them, despite the similarities that both films have with each other. The major difference between Mary Poppins and Bedknobs and Broomsticks is that they were originally by two completely different British authors, with the former being written by Australian-born P.L. Travers and the latter being written by Mary Norton. Furthermore, both films had David Tomlinson as one of the main actors, considering that I perceive him as one of the most underrated British actors to have ever graced the screen. Therefore, Mary Poppins and Bedknobs and Broomsticks will always be the gold standard in my eyes. I would also love to bring up 2005's Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe because I considered it to be the best live-action Disney film of 2005 followed by Sky High. I say this because this film not only motivated me to read the original C.S. Lewis books, but it was also beautifully crafted in terms of effects and locations and the cast was exceptional with talents such as Tilda Swinton as Jadis the White Witch, Liam Neeson as Aslan the Lion's voice, and the Pevensie kids Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy portrayed respectively by William Moseley, Anna Popplewell, Skandar Keynes, and Georgie Henley. I will say this once and I will say this again. Mary Poppins, Bedknobs and Broomsticks, and Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe are three of my favorite live-action Disney movies of all time not just because I am an Anglophile for life, but their merits of storytelling and effects cannot and should not be taken for granted.
Although it is indubitable that I love, cherish, and adore classic Disney shorts whether they star Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, Minnie Mouse, Daisy Duck, and Clarabelle Cow or have characters mostly from the Silly Symphonies or even Mickey Mouse Works and House of Mouse, I as somebody born in 1992 appreciated the Disney cartoons such as Chip and Dale: Rescue Rangers, Ducktales, Darkwing Duck, Aladdin the Series, Talespin, Jungle Cubs, Hercules the Series, The Legend of Tarzan, and Buzz Lightyear of Star Command and even Kim Possible, The Proud Family, Phineas and Ferb, and Gravity Falls. I especially loved The Legend of Tarzan because it was wonderful seeing more characters such as the Waziri Tribe specifically Chief Keewazi and his son Basuli. After all, they formed the basis of my AU headcanon where Basuli and Tarzan are brothers alongside George of the Jungle in his 1960s version and Maugli from the Russian Jungle Book animated movie with parts of his design based on Jason Scott Lee's Mowgli from the 1994 Jungle Book movie. Therefore, there was something to look forward to every time I tuned in to those shows.

The gist of my overly verbose two-part comment is this. I owe Disney absolutely nothing. They may have played a role in my entertainment choices during my early formative years until I was a young teenager. However, after what I have seen as a 12-year-old sixth grader with girls acting catty because of certain characters from That's So Raven, Lizzie McGuire, and Phil of the Future to some extent, I could not overlook how sick and predatory Disney, most especially Disney Channel, truly is. They have singlehandedly destroyed innocence under the guise of being bubblegum-flavored entertainment through a good number of Disney Channel's programming, and they will never fool me again. Therefore, Disney, and by that extent Disney Channel, can just be blown up by a combination of Tommy Oliver's talking sword Saba, Jason Lee Scott's Golden Staff, Eric Myers' Quantum Defender, Rocky DeSantos's Zeo Tonfas, Adam Park's Zeo Axes, Taylor Earhardt's Golden Eagle Sword, and Jen Scotts' V5 Vortex Blaster into a million splintered smithereens. And I can end this by saying, "Disney, Disney Channel, and Disney +, go screw yourselves!"

This proves that I always have mixed feelings about Disney and Disney has been downhill since Bob Iger took over Disney in 2005. Bob Iger has been a terrible disgrace to Disney, the Star Wars Sequel Trilogy was so awful and pretentious, and I have zero interest in seeing Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. I would rather watch The Black Hole, Tron, and The Rocketeer over the Star Wars Sequel Trilogy all day anyday, I always loved The Black Hole, Tron, and The Rocketeer, and The Black Hole along with Tron and The Rocketeer are the most underappreciated Disney films of all time. The Black Hole and Tron are both very underrated sci-fi Disney films, The Rocketeer is one of my absolute favorite superhero films, and Timothy Dalton as Neville Sinclair was a great villain.

Honestly, the old school “CLASSIC DISNEY” feels more “MAGICAL” than the modern Disney!! There was A LOT of imagineering innovations going on the the Disney Parks during that era, such as The Tiki Room, It’s a Small World, and the Pirates of The Caribbean ride at the Disney Parks!! The animatronics were like NOTHING people saw before!! The Disney Films back then had more “Magic” than all the modern releases. Disney has just lost its Magic in recent years, especially even with the Disney Channel Live Action sitcoms like High-School Musical, Hannah Montana, Shake it Up, etc., live action sitcoms were not really my thing, even as a teenager or adult! I still massively watch cartoons and animation over live action! Now, don’t get me wrong, I do like “SOME” live action movies like La La Land, the Greatest Showman and The new Barbie Movie recently released, but Disney doesn’t appeal to me at all, especially nowadays!! All they want nowadays is “MONEY”. I also don’t like Pixar nowadays either. I only like their films and shows made before 2015, Star vs. The Forces of Evil, Inside Out or older. Disney is truly suffering a similar fate as Apple, innovated before, but now lost a lot of innovation recently, and instead pumping out more of the same looking things for more profit. Ahhhhh, how I miss the old days!!! And yes, I’m ironically using an Apple device RIGHT NOW to watch this.

When you started talking about the older Disney movies that came out such as The Lion King, Beauty and The Beast, Aladdin and Toy Story etc. THAT was the Disney I grew up with. The toys and the video games from them were so fun to play with (which I will never forget). I still own some of them. I had a whole box stacked with those VHS tapes, so I cherish those years from back in the day. I agree with the new stuff not being as good as it was, but it's a different generation now. The live-action shows and Disney Channel original movies are the ones I have the most to express because, while they did form part of my formative years in my entertainment choices, they also served as outlets to thoroughly express my ever-strong love-hate relationship with Disney as a whole. I enjoyed Lizzie McGuire, That's So Raven, and The Cheetah Girls even as a guy, but I remembered being so annoyed with the effect those installments had on my girl classmates. In 2004, when those installments' popularity was at an all-time high, there were occasions when my girl classmates would bring in Disneymania CDs, imitate lines from Raven Baxter and Chelsea Daniels from That's So Raven, although I found Raven's sassiness grating as well as Chelsea's naivete annoying, and one of my girl classmates used to act like such a catty bitch in front of me although she used to be cool with me before she acted like that. For instance, she would roll her eyes at me, make mean faces at me, and always have a bossy, rude, condescending attitude toward me. I was 12 and she was 10, and I was leaning towards anime, action cartoons, Adult Swim shows, beat-'em-up games, opera, classical crossover music, and classical music while trying to keep my grades up, while she was into the Disney Channel sitcoms such as That's So Raven and Cheetah Girls. What does this have to do with my experience with Disney? It encapsulated how I was feeling towards Disney Channel at the time it was leaning toward mostly girls, while I was having a go at expanding my entertainment diet with infomercials, Adult Swim shows, anime, old sitcoms, old movies, opera, action cartoons, fighting video games, and martial arts installments. I used my love for anime and anything related to Japanese media to separate myself from the girl who was giving me Hell with her cattiness and stated that I never wanted to have anything to do with her being a snooty, catty bitch with an attitude. I even used it to pin the blame on Raven and Chelsea from That's So Raven, Brandy from Brandy and Mister Whiskers, and both Maddie and London from Suite Life of Zack and Cody for indoctrinating their rubbish onto my girl classmates. Even as I rewatch those Disney So-Hot Summer Commercials, I want to spit so much seething, sardonic, acid-tongued venom at them and pretend to have my favorite anime characters do their martial arts moves on them to demonstrate that they were much cooler, tougher, and stronger than they are. It just showed that I was at the point of outgrowing Disney Channel and its bubblegum-flavored banality at worst in favor of anime's coolness, action cartoons' amazing formidability, Adult Swim shows' outlandishness, and the older sitcoms' classiness and undeniably pure entertainment.
Remaining on the topic of Disney Channel and Disney as a whole, your statements of how Disney wants to indoctrinate its viewers have always been happening with its young actors from the past until this very day. Furthermore, you have supported your facts of the company being run by predators in a laudable fashion to the point where I fully validate them and totally agree with them. Bobby Driscoll's story was especially tragic because he was known for being Peter Pan's voice, but he could not find that much success as a more mature actor, thus causing him to slip into depression and die at the very young age of 31 years old. It also did not help that the recent Chip and Dale film had a villain named Sweet Pete based on Bobby Driscoll as if to state that what Driscoll endured was nothing more than a sick inside joke. Alyson Stoner, who played Max from The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, spoke up against the insidious system child stars find themselves in whether they work for Disney or Nickelodeon. Raven-Symone was constantly nagged by producers that she had to lose weight and make her skin darker for her role as Raven Baxter from That's So Raven, and it also does not help that she has become a figurative crackhead after the show. Vanessa Anne Hudgens' privacy was invaded by Disney because of the leaked nude photos that were supposed to be intended for her then-boyfriend Zac Efron, and that was during her tenure as Gabriella Montes from the High School Musical trilogy from 2006 to 2008. Miley Cyrus was also exploited by Disney during her tenure as Miley Stewart aka Hannah Montana from Hannah Montana to the point in which she was scrutinized for wearing a blanket for a photo shoot for Vanity Fair. Orlando Brown, after his tenure as Eddie Thomas from That's So Raven, ended up being in loads of legal trouble with drugs to the point where he ended up as a crackhead. Cole and Dylan Sprouse were promised a spinoff show based on The Suite Life of Zack and Cody where their characters, Zack and Cody, are in college, with positions as producers, but Disney just threw them under the bus. Demi Lovato also had her mind screwed over by Disney and all she has is my pity. The less said about Zendaya the better because I never bought her as an actress, and let us also not forget about Bella Thorne and how she had to be dictated by Disney to retain the squeakiness of her speaking voice as a means to acquire teenage girl characters. Therefore, all of what you had to say about Disney hiring creeps, pedophiles, scumbags, and bastards with an agenda for children, especially child stars, is totally valid after everything that has happened to a good number of former Disney Channel Stars.
Despite what happened to Vanessa Anne Hudgens, at least she is doing all right these days. Hilary Duff does not even want her children to be actors, for she herself dealt with the challenges of transitioning from child actress to teen star to grown-up actress, and it was challenging because she will always be remembered and pigeonholed as Lizzie McGuire. Brenda Song is doing well for herself and has a good head on her shoulders. Ashley Tisdale is all right, but there have been better actresses and singers than her. Alyson Michalka and Amanda Joy Michalka also had their tenure at Disney, but I do not recall them being exploited by the company. Nevertheless, everything I have listened to made me very freaking blessed that I did not end up as a flipping Disney Channel Star. I do not need that, I do not want that, and I am glad that it did not happen to me because I have my dignity, and Disney can go kiss my ass!
Disney may have played a huge part in my formative years and in my current life as an adult courtesy of its animated films, animated television shows, live-action movies, and some live-action television shows, but the malpractices that this company has, especially toward its target audience as well as its young stars, can never be overlooked. Indoctrinating children and young teenagers, specifically girls, with trying to make being catty, sassy, mean, and bitchy the cool, hip, and awesome thing to do, especially through certain characters from Hannah Montana, That's So Raven, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, The Proud Family, Kim Possible, Lizzie McGuire, and Brandy and Mister Whiskers, is the vilest thing Disney could ever do. I have seen what Disney did to my girl classmates with my own eyes when I was a 12-year-old boy into anime, Adult Swim shows, video games, and opera, and I despised what that company did to them with every single fiber, nano angstrom, and molecule of my being. Hence, I am not buying anything Disney is currently marketing and selling because there have been far too many skeletons in the closet that the company refuse to address and all they care about is money and nothing more. In short, Disney can go screw itself to Mars then Jupiter, and finally to all seven circles of Hell! The memories I had with watching Disney installments might have defined part of my formative years, but I owe Disney jack-shit after everything they have done to its young actors and everything they have done to its young, impressionable viewers. I would rather stick with the Saban-Era Power Rangers series, especially Mighty Morphin, In Space, Lost Galaxy, and Time Force, the good old days of Fox Kids, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2003), Teen Titans (2003), anime as well as video games revolving around martial arts tournaments, the good old days of UFC and Pride FC, Toonami before 2008, Adult Swim, and the older anime shows such as Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, YuYu Hakusho, and Paranoia Agent. Disney can keep its candy-colored farce and go suck it.

11:32, "And they know that people are gonna pay money to go see it because it's the name brand recognition..."
This isn't just with Disney things (movies and all), but with TV shows-- take Dallas, for instance. The original 1978-91 CBS series became iconic in television for many reasons, among them the late, great Larry Hagman as J.R. Ewing, and the Southfork Ranch setting of it (just two things to be considered). TNT rebooted it in 2012, and it didn't last as long as the one on CBS did, probably for one thing because they added characters and storylines that were not part of the show on CBS way-back-when; this cheapened the show in some longtime fans' eyes, and the death of Larry Hagman didn't help matters either (as I understand it).

And when there is a Disney movie that should have sequels, they either never do it, or take years to do so, like The Incredibles.
On the other hand, you have franchises that have more movies than necessary. Toy Story for example, they should’ve ended it with Toy Story 3 IMO, and then we got a 4th, and now they’re doing a 5th.
Like you though, I was never a Disney geek, and I’m especially not now. I’ve only really made a few exceptions when it came to Disney products.

I'm STILL EXTREMELY ATTRACTED to women, but I DON'T dress up as one or cross-dress. I just wear pink T-shirts VERY FREQUENTLY. But, I would STILL date a woman who is taller than me rather than shorter, since I'm honestly more attracted to taller women than shorter ones TBH, and I do love breaking gendered stereotypes. And no offense to you, but do not get mad a me for not being homophobic. My favorite TV shows are mostly My Little Pony Friendship is Magic and Cartoon Network Shows like Powerpuff Girls, The Amazing World of Gumball, Adventure Time, and Nickelodeon shows like Invader ZIM, The Loud House, My Life As A Teenage Robot (Man, gotta love how CUTE and HOT Jenny Wakeman is), Danny Phantom, and I used to like SpongeBob SquarePants but my love for the show has suffered a very similar fate like Disney, where I no longer like it and think that it’s overrated. Please tell me: Do you think Descendants is better than most of Disney's live-action remakes based on the same assortment of animated Disney fairytale movies? The trilogy of Descendants TV movies are, in my opinion, way better than I expected because they were borne from a crazy mixture of ideas, which is about the children of Disney fairytale heroes and Disney fairytale villains in a pseudo-modern world with 2010s technology even though most of their stories are set in completely different periods from one another. Then again, you are also welcome to tell me if Descendants is worse than the live-action remakes for reasons I did not anticipate.

While I enjoyed Avengers Infinity War & Endgame, Incredibles 2, and Spider-Man No Way Home in terms of newer Disney movies. I agree that a lot of them have been pretty bad lately including their shitty live action remakes of animated films, which I used pirate bay for.
I’m sick and tired of seeing woke shit in movies and the upcoming Little Mermaid Remake and Peter Pan Remake from the trailers look like woke garbage and the trailers were destroyed into oblivion rightfully so.
Disney has done some terrible things and hopefully someone does something about it.

And let's talk with the whole trans thing and Disney wants us to believe the science with other things
The human mind is not fully developed until you're in your twenties but I guess believing the science is only convenient when it works for you...
So if that's the case why should a 8 year old whose mind is not fully developed be allowed to say I'm not a boy I'm a girl and be allowed to transition.....

Disney buying 20th Century Fox is the most negative thing in literally the entire history of Hollywood
Disney owns enough junk and they don't need 21st Century Fox I don't understand why they would want it anyway their brands are so different and they don't mix it's just weird seeing disney and fox franchises together
and their decision to remove Fox from 20th Century Fox is just pointless it is disrespectful to the studio's legacy I miss when 20th Century Studios was a separate studio, when the "Big Five" was the "Big Six" when it was called 20th Century Fox
20th Century Fox is one of my favorite studios it's searchlight logo and fanfare is my childhood it is nostalgic it should always be Fox and for what Disney has done to them I just want to throw rocks at their headquarters for what they have done to such a legendary studio in Hollywood

SAME!!!!!!!! Even if there are cheaper ways to visit Disneyland and that my cousin still goes there for cheaper, I still AVOID Disneyland AT ALL COSTS!!!!!! I “HATE” Disney nowadays, except for the older Disney Princess and stuff created before 2015!!!!! But even so, just not interested in Disney as much anymore, and all the crappy movies they’re making nowadays, I just HATE DISNEY NOW!!!!!!! Not as big of a fan of Disney as I once was. I’m honestly nowadays more into Nintendo and Mario than Disney anymore. Disney films nowadays are LITERAL DOGSHIT!!!! The Only Disney Characters I like are all of Mickey’s Characters and Some of the OLDER Disney Princesses created before 2015 (Rapunzel, Ariel, Aurora, Cinderella, Elsa and Anna, even if I find Frozen a bit overrated as well, but IDC) I REALLY HATE NEW DISNEY FILMS, AND ALL THE BULLSHIT THE COMPANY HAS DONE WITH THEIR LIVE ACTION REMAKES, BUYING OUT AND RUINING OTHER COMPANIES, AND THEY CHOOSE ACTORS/ACTRESSES THAT HAVE LITTLE TO NO APPRECIATION OR RESPECT FOR THE OLDER 2D ANIMATED DISNEY FILMS LIKE RACHEL ZEGLER!!!! That’s why I’ve TURNED MY BACK on Disney Nowadays!!!! Disney is SUCH AN OVERRATED COMPANY STILL!!!!!! I JUST LOVE TO HATE DISNEY, EVEN THOUGH RAPUNZEL AND ARIEL ARE MY “FAVORITE” DISNEY CHARACTERS!!!!!!! Everytime I hear the word Disney Nowadays it makes me ANGRY!!!!!!!!! Everybody may like Disney except me, but I DON’T CARE!!!!!!!!! YEAH, SCREW DISNEY FOR ME, EVEN IF SOMEONE GAVE ME A FREE ANNUAL PASS TO DISNEYLAND OR DISNEY WORLD, I’D 100% REJECT IT!!!!!! THAT’S HOW MUCH I HATE DISNEY AND HATE PEOPLE CALLING DISNEYLAND AND DISNEY WORLD “THE HAPPIEST PLACES ON EARTH” THE MOST OVERRATED COOPERATE BULLSHIT PHRASE FROM DISNEY!!!!!!!! TO HELL WITH DISNEY NOWADAYS!!!!!!!!
