I just bought GGD but can’t figure out how to record my acoustic drums with it or at least use some samples out of it. I am using 10 channel interface with REAPER DAW for my project and hoped to improve my drums sounds.
Are these samples usable with SSD Trigger? As in, is there a SSD Trigger file with those? Would love to use those for some sample replacement / enhancement.
Just bought GGD but can't figure out how record my acoustic drum set using the samples. I was recording till now with Reaper and using wav samples to improve the sound.
Are these room samples available in wav format? Sounds great. I would love to purchase just an ambience pack. Also your website does not say anything about slate trigger format, only kontakt. Just curious what formats these come in.
guitargogden EZDrummer is a separate program you can use without any DAW and GGD requires either Kontakt or Kontakt Player. You can still import Kontakt to Logic as a VST/AU file though :)
"Hey vsauce, Nolly here"
OH MY GOD I KNOW RIGHT LOL
OMG LMFAO WTF LOL!!!!!!1!!11!! ;) THIS IS AMAZEBALLS
Uffff that snare sound brutal
These drums sound SO AWESOME! Nice vid, thanx!
Love what you guys are doing over at Getgood and I look forward to more of your products in the future =)
Short video, but large info. Love it
Thumbs up for Nolly having a Portal Sentry Turret on his shelf ;-)

So you record live drums and then re-program those into GGD in order to use the room mics?!
Hey, easier is to record the live drums then use Slate Trigger to trigger just the room samples (i.e. sample replacement for the close mics is muted)
Then would that mean youre getting a bit of snare sample blended in as well from the OH samples?
@getgooddrums can you make a tutorial how to get a sound room like this ??
Can you please explain why good reverb vsts can't be used to recreate similar effect?
They can, it works on the same basic principle.
I use GGD all the time, but the version with the room mics on just sounded super unnatural to me :/
I want a sample of that snare :D Pleaseeeeee

Yes to both questions
Where can I find these samples? Are they inside of the drum kit packs?

You can either use a drum trigger on your kit or use a plug in in post like slate trigger to add the samples
Do you need triggers?

Sounds sick. What room from the pack is being triggered here?
After a long listening session I think it's the GGD P4 Room with the Pearl Reference Brass Snare
Great
Stupid question alert: Does this work with Logic like Toontrack's stuff?

How do I achieve that without Slate Trigger?
Use GGD with the free 'Kontakt Player' program
1:26 ...allowing that snare to be on "crack" will always bring the energy....biased drummer opinion.
Worst software purchase I've ever made. Completely worthless in Pro Tools. Stay away.
0:41 Samples are for loosers. Real drummers need no samples.
Might be the stupidest thing I've read today.
Get back to playing BASS 😪
