the outrun visuals being paired with the vaporwave track forced a chuckle out of me we're never escaping the misuse of these two very similar aesthetics
i really fell into the Vaporwave rabbit hole after i watched your JOJI tutorial, how you flipped that that amazing sample was just awesome', and also your future funk and synthware videos did that for me too!
I really enjoy watching the way you explain the history of the genre, as well as showing a really good example. Truly makes me understand and enjoy other genres I'd venture out to from time to time. Nevertheless, the outcome is spot on, and easy to understand. You'll be even bigger soon. Trust. :)
ayo praxi. this shit hits. fucking love vaporwave and watching you flex your production skills and just *make* a fuckin 80s pop song is pretty based. great job, king.
Thank you for this amazing tutorial! And also thank you for letting me know what is Vaporwave, I have never heard of this genre before but this is fire!
Dropping good stuff as always Praxi! Also i have a little suggestion on an interesting, and somewhat niche genre called "Wave" (of likes of Skeler or MRJAY), which combines the usage of very atmospheric and ethereal reverb-y pads and synths of chill electronic and hiphop oriented drums (though generally uses a reese bass rather than an 808). It is often paired with Phonk (Wave Phonk), or used for remixes of popular songs.
this doesn't sound vaporwave but it is a good beat though...and then i realised that he added the vaporwave flavour at 05:18, so now I feel like a dumb Nutt 😅😅
Would you recommend the FL Studio Producer edition bundle for someone thinking about downloading, or spending the extra money to get the 'All plugins' version?
producer edition has worked just fine for me for 3 years now, better to spend the difference in money on 3rd party plugins like serum, omnisphere or other synths.
love this vid and the way you made this! got a question for anyone who sees this tho, do yall know how to get that type of nostalgic slowed sound by resampling in ableton?
This is a bit embarrassing, but may I ask what toms you used? Are they part of the FL library? I can never seem to find tom samples that have that kind of weight to them, and they're perfect in this vid.

we will never be able to escape 2016 youtube making this association in people

2:22 I love this chord progression. Inspired by George Benson's 'Turn your love around'? I suppose.

The song kinda sounds like "Messages from the Stars" by The Rah Band
