9ths, 11ths, and 13ths (upper extensions, as they're often referred to) can really add a lot of personality to chords. DUDE, ive been getting into this genre this past week, and this video couldnt have showed up in my feed at a better time. Great vid, cheers!
Perfect! Yes definitely get into it, it's such a fun sound and genre to do. I'm sure you'll come up with some amazing tracks.
Thanks for the kind comment my friend :)
I can 100% see this channel growing massively in the next few months. you will be hitting 1k very soon my guy. Love your stuff
Thanks! That’s really kind of you to say :) I’ve got so many more videos I want to upload too. I’m just glad people are enjoying the content so far and I hope to keep making videos that help producers.
Thanks again for the kind words and engaging in my little community, I really appreciate it
Currently at 5k 😎
The fact that this was commented 2 weeks ago, he got to 5K 10 days ago, and now sits at 8K is crazy!! Deservingly, ofc :)
@@micalyptus Thanks micalyptus
Legitimate Business from the Simpsons Hit n Run is one of my all time favorite beats from any video game
That is an absolute classic! Fits the genre so well and always makes me feel nostalgic
Beat maker here! Banger tutorial and such a vibe. Subbed!
Thank you fellow beat maker! We stand united in our pursuit of making great music. Thank you for the kind comment my friend, it means a lot and I appreciate you for supporting me.
See you in the next one!
this is so well made i love it

@@christhescientist ive been making some stuff in this style since watching! its so fun i'll definitely check out what you make next :)
Musician checking in and I COULDN'T find a satisfying pad sound... until that Morning Star Pad! Thanks for putting a name to that, now off hunting. :)
Also always happy seeing UK jungle producers and connoisseurs. Thankful the genre is still alive.
Glad you enjoyed it! and glad you liked the pad, I definitely had a lot of fun making that sample pack, so hope you enjoy
i’ve literally never heard playstation jungle before. I have, however, been super into retro style video and chiptune things so to have this now is a total blessing, so thank you!!
You're welcome Elaine! I'm glad this video reached you and definitely have a play around making this style. It's so fun and nostalgic
The man, the myth, the legend. Well done on the video bro
Thank you my Brother, glad to have support from someone as knowledgeable as yourself. More coming very soon!
I’ve not actually seen any of these RUclips videos you spoke about, in fact it was just this video of yours here that randomly popped into my recommendations. But now as a result I’m going to listen to this sort of music and track some down!
That makes me happy :) Yes definitely go check them out, they're amazing to have in the background when going for a walk in nature or doing some task. Also by seeing them you'll see where I got the inspiration for making the thumbnail picture....
one of my favorite producers suzukisan makes music like this. didn't know there was a name for it other than drum & bass. ty!!
You’re welcome! Glad you enjoyed it my friend
Would love to see this channel grow with quality video like this
Thanks a lot, there's so much stuff I want to upload. Really looking forward to these next few videos and hopefully building a community.
Thanks for the kind comment, I really appreciate it and will have lots more coming soon :)
I was like subscriber #162 lol dude's got nearly 50k now
I'm as much a producer as someone who's gone for a few games of 5-a-side could call themselves a pro footballer, but this has really given me a little kick to make another attempt at it. Very concise, to the point and informative. Amazing work mate thank you, glad to see it's done really well you certainly deserve the attention. Look forward to checking more of your content!
What a lovely comment to read, thank you!
Everyone starts from knowing very little to nothing mate. Self teaching/learning is the best way, if you go to college or study it aswell as do it as your passion/hobby you’ll pick things up over the years. Just because you haven’t released anything doesn’t necessarily mean you aren’t a pro.
@@Deleted11100 I actually did manage to luck out and release an EP with an artist I look up to on remix duties a few years ago while I was learning and collaborating with friends, but unfortunately life and health reasons put a stop to it for a long time. I'm feeling it coming back though mate! I'm all over the shop but I've made it a goal to get at least one track finished again this year and see where it goes from there. Just finding the space and time is always an obstacle
The presentation of this video is really really pleasing to me I love your style the old windows aesthetic fits perfectly
Thank you! I'm so glad you vibed with it
It's great to see this style back!!!
I agree Alexandra! It's influencing a lot of popular music and artists atm, I imagine there will be a surge around summer time. It was so fun making this video and I look forward to sharing more with you and this little community :) Thanks for the support my friend!
@@christhescientist I'm happy to hear that! By the way, how did you change Windows to 98 design? Looks so atmospheric!
Never touched music in my life but you've tempted me

The editing, the free downloads, the pacing, the knowledge shared is all top of the line! Keep doing this and you're gonna blow up in no time
I'm so glad you see the vision! Thank you for your lovely comment, it was really nice to read
@@christhescientist glad to be a part of your journey. Your talent speaks for itself. Just keep doing you. More jams more fun haha
The editing style and succinct guidance makes this an A+ tutorial fam
Thank you very much! That means a lot to hear as I put a lot of time into making this as visually pleasing as possible, but also informative and helpful. So I really appreciate you saying that.
Thanks for the lovely comment fam :)
I appreciate how straightforward and simple this tutorial is! I am very much an amateur at making music and find these kinds of breakdowns so so helpful; it’s a very useful way to pick up some terminology in a digestible way and understand the “vibes” of certain genres without being overwhelmed by music theory. I also absolutely love your editing style!!!
Thank you my friend! Glad you enjoyed it :) I've got a lot more coming soon, so I hope you find the next videos just as helpful! Much love for the kind words fam
I like what you did with the Windows 98 style frames. That's a wicked amount of effort for vibes alone
Thank you fam! I take a lot of pride in my editing and style, so I'm grateful that you appreciated it. Thanks for the lovely comment
i cant believe this was just 4 minutes, im so inspiered now and i learned so much
Perfect! The whole reason I kept this tutorial short was to pack as much information and value as I could into it. But also keep it entertaining and easy to watch!
Thank you for your lovely comment my friend, this was very kind of you to say. I look forward to sharing more videos with you soon
this is actually some amazing timing; ive suddenly become interested in intelligent jungle production, and to see this video pop up in my recommended is a godsend. really amazing video!
Perfect! Intelligent DnB is such a cool genre, will definitely have more vids covering that genre on this channel. Along with jungle, atmospheric DnB, Chill Breakcore etc.
Thank you for the kind words, it’s really nice to hear that people have enjoyed the video. I appreciate you :)
@@christhescientist hell yeah! hope your channel gets more attention, looking forward to your next video!
@@christhescientist I think you guys are mixing up terminology but unsure how :P. IDM means intelligent dance music so thats probably where you got intelligent from, but its also related to techno and not jungle although same era, but theres nothing coined as intelligent dnb.
Brother this is so well presented. Whole aesthetic is well crafted as well, respect
Thank you Rhys, that means a lot to hear fam. Honestly i appreciate your postive words so much, thanks a lot
I absolutely love your video style. The aesthetic is just so perfect.

bro used the broadest term to not piss of us virgins
Your video editing style is so cool! Also I like it when creators only tell the essential stuff skipping the unimportant details. Great vid! You will be big.
Thank you so much! I completely agree, the information is the most important part of tutorials. It was crucial for me to make this video as concise and as useful as possible, without wasting time on things that weren’t of use to the viewer
Producer tips go a long way thanks dude
You're welcome Matthew, I've got so many more tips and tricks I look forward to sharing with you. This video is just the tip of the iceberg! I look forward to seeing you in future videos and thank you for your lovely comment my friend
Bro, this is exactly the kind of tutorial i need as a beginner. many other tutorials have so much stuff going on. this format helps me to keep in mind the most important things. thanks.
Thanks for noticing, yes the way I've structured these videos is to make them seem less like a boring tutorial and more like a helpful, but entertaining RUclips video. I appreciate you taking the time to notice that
@@christhescientist It absolutly works. After other Tutorials i feel overwhelmed. After this one i just started making music. Thanks again for your work.

Bro your editing style is INCREDIBLE!!
Bro I swear music production tutorials are like 25minuets long and convey less information, drives me insane!! Thank you!! 🙏
Thanks so much! Honestly that means so much to hear as I really care about the aesthetics of the video. Yes! that was one of the reasons I actually started a RUclips channel. To provide useful tutorials that aren't difficult to watch.
