I love ripping around canyon lake. One of my favorites routes to take my wrx and Harley on. Another good route is 89A headed towards Prescott.

As an sti owner would you recommend a wrx to be a good first manual car as well as a good first project modification car? I’m looking into the 2008’s-2013’s.

Don’t get a 2008. Have a much weaker turbo. 2009+ have more power from the start. 12-14 wrx is the most desirable - has the wide body from the STI. As far as first manual - it’s not the easiest to learn on due to stiff clutch, but it’s not bad. Modifications are expensive and it costs lots to make reliable power. they aren’t cheap. if you want cheap easy power buy a gti
