Holy crap I just went through my professors 3 power point and 70 pages, I can not even tell you how lost I was. Then I stumbled across this and in 20 minutes I am an acid-base professional. I was surely going to flunk his test, he was all over the place. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Oh and congrats on the new addition.

Awesome way to remember this. We are now in Med/Surg III and its been about 2yrs since first learning this in Pathophys. I was just sort of understanding the "R.O.M.E." acronym until I got to the partially compensated piece. If I can remember this and draw it on my quiz or exam I will be all set to answer the questions. Your values were the same as we learned which was also helpful. Thanks for a GREAT video!

You have me thinking "Why did my professor make it soooo damn complicated and this guy made it so damn easy!!"
And it's funny because in the first half of the video, you said something along the lines of "Ok I know you probably think you got it, but you dont. keep watching because it gets more complicated" Glad you said that because right when you said it I was about to go to another video! thank you! I learned more in you video than I did in my 3 hour A&P lab! Practice makes perfect:)

Good explanation thanks. In uk the lab levels are different- KPa which makes it a little difficult to follow also you didn't look at BE base excess, which would maybe help explain the compensation side of things, without getting too heavy! But that said, really appreciate your time and effort and it helped with practice and understanding.
