Holy crap I just went through my professors 3 power point and 70 pages, I can not even tell you how lost I was. Then I stumbled across this and in 20 minutes I am an acid-base professional. I was surely going to flunk his test, he was all over the place. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Oh and congrats on the new addition.
I have to say a big thank you for helping me to finally understand ABG's! Nurse Bass you are my hero! Prior to today, I was totally lost where ABG's are concerned. Tomorrow I will definitely ace my ABG test. Good luck in all your endeavors.
OMG THIS WAS SO HELPFUL AND EASY !!!!! I want to say thank you for all your lectures/videos because they are broken down to the simplest formats and makes it so easy to follow with the explanation of what the body is doing and the symptoms that we should expect our patients to be having. Thank you because this is where i was really weak in where comprehending the ABGs.
I am a 55 year old nursing student and this is a great simplistic way of figuring this out! I have a exam Wednesday has helped me tremendously! Thank you!
We just went over ABG's in class the other day and I was so confused about the partially compensated parts. I am so glad that you had a video on here cause I feel like i understand this completely!!!
Oh my God. Unbelievable. Thank you so much Nurse Bass for helping me to understand the ABGs. It is very clear like water. I wish I could be able to answer the NCLEX questions like that. I will go right ahead call Pearson Vue to set up the date of the exam.
I really like your teaching style, and the way you break it down so quickly. This is the first video I've seen of yours, but I'll be watching a lot more. Thank you!
Hey Nurse Bass, I have always watched your videos and I am thankful for all you do for nursing students. I got into nursing school and will be watching for guidance throughout
Well congratulations on your acceptance into Nursing School! That's such an exciting time =D And thank you so much for your support. I'm glad you enjoy my videos and I'm happy they're helpful! I'm going to do my best to continue putting out great content for you guys!
This was really good. I like the fact that you stressed the “why”, and not to just think about this being numbers on a piece of paper, but an actual patient! It’s the “why” for me!!! Well done!
I tried to find another video I made but was struggling lol (too many old videos I guess lol). But I made a video specifically on asking the question WHY. It will carry you through your entire school journey as well as your career. It's the most important word for the aspiring Nurse :D
2 years qualified, this is the first person and video that has explained so fully, clearly and easy to understand... just had an Aha moment! Thank you so much x
I've just been accepted into the Respiratory Therapy program at my school, and I am trying to prepare myself for some of the things I will be learning, before hand. This video is very helpful. I'm a visual learner, and your technique and diagram (visual aid) made it so easy to learn! Thank you!
After having such a hard time with acid base questions during my exams last year i found this video and ever since then my favorite questions during exams have become ABG ones. I can't THANK YOU ENOUGH! You are my knight in shining amour XD. keep posting videos!
I was put on to this video by my sister (last semester RN student), I'm studying for boards (LPN). It was very helpful and I will continue to come back to it during my studies. Thanks a million.
Awesome way to remember this. We are now in Med/Surg III and its been about 2yrs since first learning this in Pathophys. I was just sort of understanding the "R.O.M.E." acronym until I got to the partially compensated piece. If I can remember this and draw it on my quiz or exam I will be all set to answer the questions. Your values were the same as we learned which was also helpful. Thanks for a GREAT video!
+Laura Cloose Well you're very, very welcome! I'm happy to hear that this video and approach to ABG's was helpful to you! Study hard and smash those exams! :)
Thank you for taking time to make helpful videos. You have the gift to teach, you're excellent in explaining complex topics making them less intimidating. Thank God for your life and for what you're doing for the nursing students and nurses alike. Continue to make more educational videos. More power to you
Wow! Thank you so much. I only have one more semester, until my prerequisites are complete. I'm about to start applying to nursing school. Your videos have been preparing me, for what I need to know, when I get there! thank u so much! So informative!! 💪😎
This has been amazing. Your method of teaching plus your tone of voice is very friendly. ABGs and similar topics tend to be super intimidating but I'm so glad I ran into this tutorial and you've smoothly eased me into this topic. Thank you loads! from Third year medical student, Pakistan!
Thanks for taking the time to make such a great video. As a Medical Laboratory Science Student, this was of much help for my ABG's test in Clinical Chemistry. Keep up the good work!
Oh wow, thank you sooo much! I've watched several videos and this was the first one that made sense. The others went wayyy to deep. I needed a short and sweet breakdown. Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I haven't started nursing school yet but learning and watching these videos ahead of time really do help and it reminds of things I learned in anatomy and physiology :)
That's great! I'm glad that you found this video helpful. Isn't it funny how you can not study a certain topic in a long time and then just hearing someone lecture about it can bring all the information flooding back to memory? Lol. Thanks for the comment! :D
I just started working in ICU as a new grad and this video really helps me to understand ABG's. Just subscribed and will watch more of your vids! good job bro!
Well that's awesome. First of all, congratulations on securing a position in the ICU as a new grad. That is my aspiration as well. And I appreciate the subscription also. I hope you find helpful content here :D
Wow. I really appreciate you taking the time to make this video. You helped me so much! You have me thinking "Why did my professor make it soooo damn complicated and this guy made it so damn easy!!" And it's funny because in the first half of the video, you said something along the lines of "Ok I know you probably think you got it, but you dont. keep watching because it gets more complicated" Glad you said that because right when you said it I was about to go to another video! Im glad I stuck it out and watched the whole thing. Very helpful!
Thanks for the refresher! Every step in my nursing journey has included this information, which I quickly forgot between BSN and MSN Advanced Pathophysiology. Not forgotten really, just dusty and cobwebbed :)
OMG!!!! Thank you so much, this was so helpful. My instructor said you teach it way better than she could. Again, thank you, I used your tic-tac-toe method and got an 95% on exam.
