I don’t know about you guys but since COVID 19 our ABG counts run per shift have tripled! We need one therapist alone to just run abg’s! It’s been crazy! Stay safe everyone we are in this together ❤️💪🏼
I struggled quiet a bit when we first started interpreting ABGs. I turned to the internet and found Respiratory Therapy Zone and it made ABG interpretations so much more understandable than what I was learning in class. Respiratory Therapy Zone is now my go to when I'm struggling with understanding concepts in class.
I watch your videos DAILY! I love this RUclips channel as well as your Facebook page! You guys have been such a big help! I am almost finished with my 2nd semester. Only 2 more semesters and state exams stand in the way of starting my career of being a RRT!
I’m a nursing student and I just want to say I loved your video! I love understanding or getting the bigger picture about what is being tested and how/why something is interpreted. :) 😊
Your channel and facebook page have been extremely thankful to me personally as a first year student respiratory therapist! Especially since I learn best by watching videos, these have been so so helpful with exams, these are amazing!
So grateful for y'all! ABGs have always been something I'm more than confident about. I love it when I can successfully interpret a gas, as well as help my peers do so!💉
I am a first year student. And i completely enjoyed figuring out the patients status on looking a ABG values. Whether it turmed out to be respiratory acidosis, alkalosis, and metabolic compensation and vice versa. pH is king and leads the rest.
I am so very grateful for these videos. I am about to start my 2nd semester and ABG's is the first subject. The animation are a great help! I look forward to them. I follow you on IG and FB as well. I enjoy the questions as well as the comments from everyone which is also helpful. THANKS SO MUCH!
As an individual who has been out of school for so many years and went back to obtain a Bachelors Degree this video is most certainly helpful; you are truly a blessing within my career! Thanks for all you do and continue to do.
Starting my second semester in the RT program and we are jumping straight into ABG's. Your Videos are a big help, and I am very confident in my ability to analyze ABG's. Thank you!
First year student with first year teachers so I feel like I'm teaching myself and I wouldn't be able to do it without you! Keep posting amazing videos!!! You guys ROCK!!!
tq for knowing me the TMC exams for this long time period i dont know there is some sort of exams like this I'll be sure to attend the exams after my degree... THANK YOU
This video came out just in time! I have skills testing next week on Vents and ABG's and this video will surely help me with the ABG part!! Thanks for posting still during this time ☺
I honestly couldn't understand them at all until I watch this, I love the examples after each explanation. This was so helpful, thank you so much !! :D
I am in my first year of Respiratory school and I know how confusing ABG interpretation can be to learn. This video was so helpful to review this material!
Very helpful video ABG can be challenging in the beginning, but with enough practice you can understand what's going on with the patient oxygenation, and ventilation status. It can also be a metabolic problem as well. 2nd year student enjoy all the content you put up.
Yes I've also had to learn to interpret ABG's through a online course. Luckly, my teacher is great after a few practices I was able to learn how to read them. Practice makes perfect!
This was definitely difficult at first when I learned it in my first class, but later on became easy to interpret and was pretty cool doing abg’s on patients in hospitals. 😊
Love reviewing ABG's! Respiratory therapy zone is the best site for students, and even seasoned therapist. I personally work in a smaller hospital and there are some thing's I don't routinely get exposed too, babies for exampe, so I return to RTZ frequently to stay fresh on infant needs and review adults too. Keep up the good work. Stay safe
I am a first year medilab student and I bet you, everything in this video was perfectly explained. thanks for the valuable infor... I have already started to digest our syllabus.
Is there such a thing as over compensated Acidosis/Akalosis? If so, how would one know if it's truly a Metabolic or Respiratory issue? Is there another referenced range of a possible over compensation?
Good content you post. I like to watch random videos just to fight boredom and refresh my memory. I am interested in becoming a respiratory care practitioner (RCP). It will probably make it more interesting if you have more content in understanding what exactly a RCP does. Talk about the profession more and put scenarios about the profession. Maybe find another RCP who can pair up with you and bring ideas. I am not sure if my idea is valid. 🧸💕
