Great tutorial Joe. In Scotland, that patient would also be out playing bingo! Love it. Thank you as always, for putting theory into practical context.
Being a student, it would be nice for you to put the normal ranges for everything in an abg. I know them already but for other people that do not know or need a reminder. KNOW your NORMALS!

How do you get a doctor to understand your compensated blood gas? I had a patient last night they wanted NIV and then potentially intubation with a fully compensated blood gas. It was so frustrating and they caused her more anxiety because of all of that.
Great explanation thank you
Thank you so much for the video can you do video about HFNC because after covid more doctors request to put patients on it
Could you please do videos on PSV fatigue wean, and complete liberation from the vent, we do like to learned more about the realist wean process, in addition, I had a doctor that went from RR 27bpm, RR to 14BPM, a huge changed, the rationale was a concerned about alkaline abg results, can damage the brain.. plus no requested an abg after huge jump changed.

Can you explain Venus blood gas and how only PH and Co2 is the true value in the future?

Hi coach. Can you help me to know how to distinguish if I draw ABG or VBG (besides look at the color? Any hint so that I know how to figure our if it was arterial or venous blood? Thanks.
what if co2 =66 high and hco3 - =16 low , ph is 7.1, what is the solution in this case?
Sorry, pH 7.22, PCO2 58 and HCO3- 24 clashes with Henderson-Hasselbalch equation.
You're 100% correct. I appreciate you watching and taking the time to comment! GO BE GREAT!
