    Being a student, it would be nice for you to put the normal ranges for everything in an abg. I know them already but for other people that do not know or need a reminder. KNOW your NORMALS!

    I'm in my 2nd sem in RT prog. This was extremely helpful for me. A lot clicked for me..I was having diff understanding..but right when I knew that the last ABG example was Def a COPD pat, that I'm understanding this a lot better. Thanks for making this vid, I appreciate the help..im now sub.

    How do you get a doctor to understand your compensated blood gas? I had a patient last night they wanted NIV and then potentially intubation with a fully compensated blood gas. It was so frustrating and they caused her more anxiety because of all of that.

    Could you please do videos on PSV fatigue wean, and complete liberation from the vent, we do like to learned more about the realist wean process, in addition, I had a doctor that went from RR 27bpm, RR to 14BPM, a huge changed, the rationale was a concerned about alkaline abg results, can damage the brain.. plus no requested an abg after huge jump changed.

    Hi coach. Can you help me to know how to distinguish if I draw ABG or VBG (besides look at the color? Any hint so that I know how to figure our if it was arterial or venous blood? Thanks.

    what if co2 =66 high and hco3 - =16 low , ph is 7.1, what is the solution in this case?

    Sorry, pH 7.22, PCO2 58 and HCO3- 24 clashes with Henderson-Hasselbalch equation.
