    From what I know, must add that my info is a few years old, there will be one single derelict Bengal that can be recovered. This Bengal has been lost for many years.
    The only other way to get one is to subdue, board and capture one from the UEE, a task that will be neigh on impossible as apart from itself and it's compliment of craft, there will be approx 750 NPC crew to defend it. Oh and don't forget they will call for reinforcements if needed. Capturing one should be almost impossible.
    Then there is the fact that a player possessed Bengal will have to be manned 24/7 365 and cannot be logged off. Other groups that want a Bengal WILL be hunting your org if you have one.... It is going to be a lot of fun :)

      @@therealdontclickme oh, I am counting on it.
      The Devs have said when the game launches, they are already doing this to some degree, they will follow player activities which will have a distinct effect on the unfolding history of the 'Verse. Players and Orgs can become famous throughout the 'Verse by virtue of their actions.... or infamous !
      They have said that if players keep poking the wrong hornets nest, it could even result in Earth being invaded and occupied by a powerful alien force.

      @@ViciDeum You are welcome. CIG produce an incredible amount of the development process and we are plain spoiled with the amount of background lore that has been written. I understand they still have a bunch of great writers spinning stories in the stars, I have some catching up to do :)
      I am sure you have heard about the other big contest point in the coming, much later I guess, hidden asteroid bases. An org can find one, some are smaller such as abandoned pirate weapons cash or bigger bases can be brought back on line and fitted with defenses and could even auto populate with an NPC population with shops etc. Possibly a pirate refinery could be in such a place.
      ...of course various orgs and pirate groups will have to fight for dominance over such a valuable resource.
      Me thinking here : perhaps the org in possession can extract a settable tax on all sales through vendors too. I have seen such a feature in a fantasy setting before and it adds extra incentive for players to want control over such a base.
      It is going to be fun !

And on top of that, you'll always need a fleet of other sub cap, and capital ship to stay around it

    my favorite possible use of the Bengal? anti piracy/anti toxic player combat. in my opinion taking a bengal to a fight is simply dishonorable, since no one else is likely to have the ship and it would basically be an auto win for whichever team had it. but for combatting toxic groups of players? if the enemy plays dirty there's no use in trying to stay clean. maybe it's just my weird sense of honor, but I simply don't like the idea of using the bengal to fight other players except in certain circumstances. I would much rather it be something that the entire server or multiple orgs could use as a massive and mobile social hub that they could take on different missions. perhaps a player on a bounty hunting mission needs to hitch a ride to a system but desires company, they could dock and hang out with the other inhabitants until they reached his stop. or a merchant player looking to sell cargo to players could decide to make a stop on the carrier (once player to player economy is established if it is not already) to sell their stuff. or people could organize combat drills and use the bengal to respawn, repair, and restock without needing to go to a station. would be nice if they could implement a ship reclamation device on it but unlikely. my point is I would rather see the bengal used benevolently than maliciously, which is unfortunately an inevitability as there will b a group who eventually decides to build one and use it to bully an entire server. but I hope that there would be players willing to fight such bullying with their own carrier, in which case I hope they would let people watch because seeing two of these behemoths go toe to toe with their support fleet would be insane.

    Except players would never get one of these as the largest you'll get is the Javelin as stated by the devs. This will just be a military ship.

      @ViciDeum  Год назад

      That's not actually true! The devs have stated the largest a player can purchase is the Javelin, but the Bengal will be available as in-game wrecks that orgs can rebuild to then pilot themselves!

      While the Retribution is the largest, the Bengal is the largest currently operable and intended for use by players!

    I'm sorry, but the Bengal's exterior design looks like crap... They need to redesign it along with the 890 Jump... They try too hard to make ships look different at the expense of visual appeal...

      @ViciDeum  Год назад

      The Bengal is definitely one of the older designs and hasn’t had much updates throughout the years (just a small polish pass). I personally don’t mind it, but it could use a little more love!

    You can't own a bangel. This entire video is moot unless CIG says they will change that. Yes, at one point CIG said it may be possible to perhaps salvage one... But they never confirmed this would be a thing. Thus, this video is assuming a lot and is moot.

    • @ViciDeum

      Well, anything CIG says before release is always subject to change, but I highly suspect they’ll still allow a Bengal to be repaired as they outlined before!

      We don't know specifics yet, but it'll almost certainly be in the state you last left it!
