Glad to see you suggest Certainty. I seeded Bermuda last year and my only green now is Poa Annua. As soon as the weather and ground warms up I am going to spot spray this and later spray the whole yard with prodiamine. Keep it green.
Thanks Jason. Last year I put in a Zoysia lawn (sod) and I was reluctant to put down a pre-emergence until after one year. I have some weeds, mainly poa annua. I don't have Tribute or Katana, but I have Celsius and Certainty. I plan to spray the the poa annua with a Celsius and Certainty mixture. Today it is about 60F outside so hopefully I will see some positive results in 2-3 weeks. Again thanks for the video - very helpful.
I've been getting that in my minnesota lawn. It looks like kentucky bluegrass but in the spring it looks like mushroom shaped white dead spots. I always figured it was just kentucky bluegrass that died from snow mold. My yard is pretty much 100% perennial ryegrass so now I know, if I see the mushroom shaped bluegrass, it's an annual grass and I can kill it. By the way when i rake in the fall, the weed will be hang on by one stem and sometimes it just pulls right out with my dethatching rake
What rate of the Tribute Total did you use? I am in Georgia and have been recently spraying poa with Tribute Total and Simazine. Having similar slow response as you.
@jason I have POA all over my yard that has died from summer heat (Hybrid Bermuda). IS there a need to pull the dead POA clumps? Will they go away with mowing? IT looks bad now with big patches of POA everywhere
As a home owner, How do able is it if I didn't want to be bothered with pre emergent for crabgrass but instead just killed it post emergently yearly with solitaire? Im not worried about cost.
@@adammusgrove9016 I'm in Texas and have a bermuda zoysia combo at the moment.... Some crab some poa, clover, and dandelion among other things I'm sure
3 to 4 apps. Just need to read the label of the Pre Emergent product you're applying. Make sure you don't go over the oz./lbs. per acre, per year. Split the apps based on that total/year number.
I work for a lawn care company in Huntsville Alabama used Celsius I've not used Katana yet but I have used tribute and every two to three weeks with an application or tribute works great on poa control any thoughts on goosegrass control for spring time we did have a lot of extra rain in Alabama in 2020 18 inches to be exact
torch the poa. no need to dig them out or use chemicals . pre or post , there’s a waiting period . torching is instant and you see the seed pods burn away.

Thanks bud! Very informative...
Very nice! Wish there was a quicker post m (than image) and cheaper way (than professional products like you are using) for the average homeowner.
1.5 pints per acre of glysophate 41 percent on dormant Bermuda cheapest way to get rid of weeds
Ryegrass is a common lawn grass here in Michigan. We also call it field grass. Always green and growing.
Looks good up there. Not so good with a few random clumps in a warm season lawn

Can I spray Msma on these weeds this time of year end of March, green up just now starting,

They will go away

Much easier to use a pre-emergent but if you want to use Solitaire I would do it early in the life cycle
@@adammusgrove9016 I have blindside and quinclorac and just thought about mowing everything down with that.... Maybe I'm wrong hell idk.

Is it ok to use good old fashioned Atrazine on these weeds?
