Looks awesome! Exactly what it's meant for! Thanks for giving shine juice a try! Goin ta town approved
Not gonna lie I’m surprised you got time to actually watch RUclips…
Derek, you are a gentleman. Just wanted to say that.
Literally just finished watching the $69 truck paint job. Love this Chevelle. Can't wait to see what she looks like with the shine juice.
Wow you know your doing something right when you get the god father commenting to your videos Derick the shine juice looks like it would work great on my 61 ford falcon delivery wagon iv been using used motor oil I'm a broke man with to many projects to buy the good products Chris as always love the video great job and thanks for the advice you gave me on the shed see you in the next one no nonsense over and out
@@Junkerclunkerz Godfather? LoL
You got something on your chin
I am a huge fan of the “socially distant restorations “ where everything looks awesome from 25 ft away 🤣
AMEN!!
Good from far, far from good!
That’s a good one funny as hell. Now that I think about it my restoration is exactly what your talking about lol.
I had a girlfriend like that!
She's a beauty !!!....Jen looks nice to!!!😊😊
Greetings ! My name is Marc , i'm 71 years old , so was raised in the muscle car era . I love your videos , they are very well produced , and i'm a chevy fan , so the Chevelle is particularly interesting for me. Keep up the good work.
Keep the thing. You obviously love it. You don't have to frame off it to make a nice looking car that you love and love to drive. The thing could be a serious ambassador for the channel. Just realize Jen said "look how happy he is!" That says a lot my friend.
Amen, Brother. 🙏🙇
if he not going to do anything with it like sinking some money in it, car need some love like paint suspension. and people who say they like rat rod look cuz they are to cheap and don't want to put a lot of money in to that car
I love that you take your stuff out and rip! They were meant to be driven. And Gus running around with your hair just killed me 😂
Jen's face at 44:38 !! That's the first time I have seen her that scared. But boy, that thing sounds great!
There is something magical about an old car firing right up and smoking out of a tailpipe.
indeed!
Just really enjoyed this video - the hair cutting, Gus and the hair chase, you and Jen laughing together on the test drive, seeing Vice Grip Garage Shine Juice in action, your attitude toward making the Chevelle a daily driver. Great content.
Glad you enjoyed it!
It's not "content", it's art. Content is filler. "Content creator" is a derogatory term. We're not "content creators", we're artists. :)
@@NoNonsenseKnowHow Everyone that follows you enjoyed that one. Not sure about the hair thing but I haven't had enough to cut for a long time. 😂
@@strangersound I could not agree more with you. It’s pure art putting it all together. :)
Long hair ......Short hair......It don't matter .......Your still the man.
the hoist is a game changer for you, makes working on the fleet much easier
are you talking about the Lift?
A hoist pulls engines up. Lol
Hubby says he would buy your Chevelle, haha. I loved it when you shaved your hair. That bit was great, and Gus didn't disappoint by stealing your hair, haha. Love your videos, and I'm amazed when you get the rust buckets running, and of course, I'm a bigger fan of you and Jen's shenanigans! And I'm learning a lot from Jens videos when she tackles her own repairs. She's inspiring and so funny! And I love hearing you and her sing!❤
At the 8 minute mark you said " there are so many of these around". This is one of the reasons I wished i lived in the States! Im in Ontario Canada where we salt the roads and if you ever do find a classic car they're usual already all fixed up and the guy wants $50,000!
I agree on it being a daily driver. Minimal investment, maximum coolness!
Y’all , I laughed so hard when Chris shaved his head and then Gus went crazy and took off with the hair. Omg I needed that !! Jens reaction was priceless !! This is a No nonsense haircut for sure ! Nice !
Sell it, buy more. Favorite videos are you bringing dead/abandoned cars back to life 👍🏿
What a ripper !! Nothing like a big block Chevy . Carry on my wayward son !!
A perfect balance of Chevy wrenching,Chevy driving and family time with Jen and Max. Great know how!
She's a runner / Jen's a keeper.
do you know her personally or spent many days and nights with her? just because shes pretty and usually seems great on camera means nothing who knows whos a keeper or not they are both keepers lol
100 % agree on your idea for the Chevelle..manual, black, not the prettiest but fun to drive and hammer around town!! Smoke the tires once and a while 💨
That Chevelle is fucking sweet. I'm glad you kept it, I would 100% love to have that car and just make it a driver and not a show car!
My old Dachshund was named Gus and he was the best dog ever! He was a short haired black and tan. Just as stubborn and mischievous as any other wiener dog, but a great little friend.
Come for the car. Stay for the haircuts.
Absolutely love BOLT DEPOT! I have used them for years. Highly recommended! You, Jen and Gus are the Best!
They are awesome! I checked 5 different websites before ordering hardware, they had the best pricing! At least for all the items I was looking at.
Having a gas in bitter cold Saskatchewan Canada watching NNKW(don't change the name) we all know it's some nonsense know how....it's fine. Made my day.
Glad to hear you are friendly with Derek. You are both two of my favorite youtubers.
Thank you once again for an awesome video (as always) the car is absolutely beautiful. That smile and grin you had on your face driving this car? That’s exactly what these cars are for. American muscle at its best
Man! Your videos are the best! I always look forward to new ones. The random haircut and Gus running around with it was hilarious! I like your philosophy too. Make it run good and enjoy it. It's always tempting to spend mega bucks on cars (and boats), but most people cant afford to dump a bunch of money into toys. The relatability factor is what makes your videos so good!
That car hits the sweet spot- not too nice, not too junky. There is potentially a lifetime's worth of projects just waiting for the mood to strike. Keep or sell, do what makes you happy.
chris he looks sooo happy like a kid on a candy store love it how it sounds
Jen got a mustang?! Ya, dude! Cant wait to see that in her videos.
Love the video. Haircut, Gus, ragtime, shenanigans, everything!
The 70-72 Chevelles will always be my favorites. Closely followed by the 70-72 Monte Carlos. 😎
If you`re going to spend money. Spend it on the Fury. The OG NNKH Coolest Wagen on You Tube. You know that Gus steals the show every time. I want Gus`s energy and Turbo`s coolness.
Like the car, like the hair cut and liked the video. Need I say more? 👍👍👍👍👍
Always stoked when you upload- ❤ your content!
Gussman thinks everything is a toy for him to play with, love it 😂 Turbo looking very tired at the end, think he’s had just about enough of Guss 😉
I remember as a kid in the early 80s drooling over a family friends Chevelle when we used to visit them on the jersey shore. He was like 20 and had that awesome car. I must have been 8 or 9 yrs old.
Chris. An ozone machine might be decent investment. It will deodorizea car interior in a day or so. It is also a deterrent to bugs and mice.
Still to this day I think those GM rally wheels are the best looking wheel for an older GM car… they look great on that car, Vettes , Camaros and Novas
Watching you drive the Chevelle, with Jen wincing the whole time, I'd say the skull on the shifter is quite appropriate.
Don't let the haters mess with your mind set.
The fact that you are working on your own vehicle and just having fun as the end result, is pretty much what 3/4 of us are striving for. I appreciate your videos .
keep the chevelle mad max style looks badass😎that chevelle sounds so meannnnn...puts a smile on my face
Excellent Chris luv the self hair cut. Cheers guys & the star mr guss 😊
I had a hunch. So I looked it up. The vault truck is for concrete vaults for burying coffins in cemeteries.
Sounds exactly like a muscle car should. ❤
Gus strikes again. He is the show.
Gus and the hair made me laugh out loud! Nice haircut.
I had a 68 and a 69 Chevelles in high school. They got traded in for 4 doors and car seats. I miss them but it was worth it. Grandpa still has a 4 door and a car seat.♥️👍🏼🙏
I have owned a 64 Chevelle SS with the 327, factory 4 speed and factory air which was a pretty rare car. A 68 Chevelle, a 70 Chevelle and a 69 Camaro over the years, I also had a 69 Cougar that was awesome. I never owned a Mopar but I'm a huge Mopar fan. My brother had a ton of way cooler cars then I did he was a couple of years older then me. He actually had a 69 Chevelle 396 that was orange and white that was sick, a 68 Roadrunner with a 383 to name a few. I graduated high school in 1980 so all the 60s and early 70s muscle cars filled the high school parking lot, it was a crazy cool time. You could pick up clean low milage stuff for under $1000 and if you spent upwards of $2000 you could get just about anything.
Great to see the Chevelle getting some luv 🏁🏁🏁
Back in HS ('74) my best friend had a '69 Chevelle, fire engine red with a black landau half top, small block, and turbo 400, black interior. Fond memories of cruising that thing on the boulevard on a Friday night!
My absolute dream car. I’ve been learning how to work on cars the last few years so I can purchase this car one day and keep it running. Your video recovering this car is what got me into watching car revival videos. Now I follow VGG, PBG, JYD, and so many other RUclipsrs. The 71 Chevelle is tops on my list! Greetings from across the river in Hamilton!
Dude! whatch theetravisb too with you got the time. its really good
Better start looking for a project now it will take some time to find one worth buying don't ever let them know how interested in the car you are !!!!
Be a tire kicker at first. Check marketplace there alot of good starters on there for a few thousand dollars, you can stack parts till your ready to build it
My two takeaways from this vid…
1. I need a weiner dog in my life stat. Gus is the absolute best!
2. FINALLY on the hair cut! It’s 1000x better on you!
He’s cute, but those dogs can come with a lot of health struggles. Consider a mutt.
I made the 4 speed conversion to my 68 Chevelle a number of years ago. Found a crashed GTO as a doner car for the tyranny & clutch peddle assy. I used a GMC truck flywheel & bellhousing to match up with the Chevy small block. Car formaly had a 2 speed glide. Was a super easy conversion. Love your old school ways as I am 71
10/10 You NEED to do the necessary safety stuff, flat black it, manual swap it and DRIVE IT.
My hair is the same length. Been thinking for the last couple weeks of doing the same thing. Gonna do it.
Definitely do it! No regrets
@@NoNonsenseKnowHow LOL It is the first time I have grown my hair out since the late 90s.. love your channel. I live at the Georgia FL border. but coming up North in 4 weeks to visit my mom and Akron, OH.
@@NoNonsenseKnowHow I will be going to Beaver Falls, PA. But I believe you're on the East Coast of Pennsylvania, not the west side. So sorry, I can't stop by and say hello.
Takes a brave man to cut that much hait off on camera. Enjoying your content, very entertaining.@@NoNonsenseKnowHow
I have always liked your take on things regarding full restorations. With my boats, cars, and snowmobiles I have always liked just original for the most part not show condition and have had so much enjoyment along with others that enjoyed seeing them as they are. Fun driver is the way to go for me too!
This car would make a great movie car
Dear friend, Glad to see you and your wife and your adorable little dog again! Please, when you're cleaning metal or doing dusty work, wear a dust mask! 💌
Gus is a gem. I’ll bet if you had some merch featuring him, they would sell. Channel mascot
Honestly he could full his shorts channel with just peeks of Gus and it would do amazing.
My first car was a Chevelle. Gus is sure a screen hog. Star of the show! Love your choice of music.
Being follicley challenged, I have hair envy….. not to mention Chevelle envy, love the car, absolute beast.
Gus is the typical dachsund - zoomies, hard-headed determination, sunning with all four legs in the air, sticking that cold wet nose in the cats ear - that's why we love em so much! Excellent episode, as always, thank you!
Dude hahaha the 7 year old smile on your face when you and Jenn took it for a rip! Priceless 🤙
@6:40 Damn the '71 looks good wet after that wash. Shows what a new clear coat could do.
BTW, IMO the short hair fits you better Chris.
You know if you stick with this build and do a full restore I think it would be your most watched
Turbo is thinkig its always gus gus gus man😊cheers guys
I happen to love your approach with budget minded makeovers. Never mind the car snobs who think you have to do it their way, do it yours and drive the thing. This is my fave car you have, it sounds like nothing else, and shes a ripper. Sure hope you do the upgrades on your list slowly on this as she is a keeper in my mind. Body is still pretty decent, might be worth giving a VGG $60 tractor supply paint job in the future.
Another great video. Every time I watch your stuff, it makes me go out and tinker on my stuff.
This is the car you should take to Duct Tape Drags later this year!
A buddy of mine and I both drag race and have tons of money in our cars. The most fun we’ve ever had is we bought a 1968 Cadillac sedan de ville for a little over $500! We put a few hundred bucks each into it and beat the hell out of it for probably 10 years or so. Man I miss that car and I have been looking for another one lately. Them old cars deserve to be driving around and being enjoyed however thier owners see fit! They don’t all have to museum pieces!!
I have long hair too. When you cut yours, it looks like you gained 20 years. (lol)
Nice got to keep the classics alive keep it coming man watching and learning your big motivation 👀 🍿💪
Vault like in a cemetery. Those trucks like that install the concrete vaults in the ground that caskets go into.
Don’t sell it, Chris. It’s too much of a gem! ‘71s are my favorite too! Those brake drums have had the infamous VGG “Craigslist Rebuild”
Love the car and your new look.
It definitely has the unmistakable sound of a Chevy big block.. and Chris, I'm so glad you finally cut that long hair you had. Just let it grow to a short length and keep it like that. And I'm really digging the shine juice, looks so much better and hope you do keep the Chevelle that shade of red or maroon. And you need to get some interior door panels
If you put that hair in a mesh bag and hang it outside, birds will actually use it for nesting material. As for the sticky residue on the seats, I'm a fan of Goo-Gone. And for the mosquitos, consider setting off a couple of foggers in the shop overnight. Keep the videos coming.
Chris Your a BAD MAN for scaring poor Jennifer with that straight piped big block 😂
Awesome video as always. Happy new year to your entire crew.
Chris, you are such a great mechanic. Thank you for the great videos. Happy New Year to you, Jen, and Gus.
To help keep the moisture down in a stored car, get 4 boxes of baking soda, open them and place them inside the car that you are storing.
I have a car that I put up every winter in an unheated garage, I do the baking soda trick every year.
I've never had moisture or mold in my car.
"Grow it long, shave it off
Life is hard, never soft
I need a change, I need it quick
Before it makes me sick
That's what's on my mind"
Feelin' Van Halen.
I've been looking forward to this update! Thank you!
Really appreciate the editing efforts you put into these videos. The audio adjustments when using the loud tools just makes for a more enjoyable watch. Love the content as always! Always look forward to the next upload. Much love!
Glad you like the videos and yeah I try to get the audio dialed in as best I can but sometimes I don't catch everything
We had a 74 4x4 that we put a 396 in on the farm when I was young that truck would pull a load 😊
One of my favorite cars Chris. Drive it to the Adirondack Nationals Car Show in Lake George NY in 2024 :)
Glad you worked on that car. A really nice car, should not be sitting idle for too long.
Nice car but I'd sell it now before it becomes a money pit! p.s. Just hit 1 year on the membership, thanks for the amazing content Chris!
Yeah I'm pretty torn because I know it's just a money pit but a fun one for sure! And then, thanks so much for your long-term membership! Really appreciate the support
Aš? Vaidas nuo ir linksmai givenat😀😀🇱🇹.
Wow! That thing sounds like a wild animal!
Literally my dream car to work on and restore(especially with my son). I hope one day i can find one, even if its a roller for a decent cost. But heck yea just started the video cant wait to see the rest. Awesome car
Bro... the dog running away with human hair is absolutely ridiculous 😂😂😂😂😂
if u keep it just make it a weekend ripper no need to dump tons into it for resto, fix the drive ability make it fun. Anytime a vehicle keeps u smiling when u drive it its a keeper
I've always liked chevelle's. And I'm a Ford man. And I'm with you. I don't build a car just to go ooh and ah. I drive the piss out of my classic cars. Why build them if you're not going to drive them! I have a sixty eight Mustang coupe and a 68 Torino GT fastback, and the Torino is my next project, and she's rough.
Great video, the shave was crazy. Now I want to rip and tear my 67 Fairlane and 73 Vette. Lol
You should definitely keep the chevelle , even if you don't restore it and you just drive it how it is and fix a few things here and there it's a badass car
Man Chris, I listen to literally every type of music out there and love them all: and consequently I am looked at like a crazy person…. I must say I love the classical
touch in this video, makes me feel less crazy, lol
P.s Gusman almost made me cry with laughter running with your hair. Hes a goofball for sure. hahaha
You look 10 times better with short hair. Enjoy your content so much! Pls keep up the work. You and Andrew are the best best.
Cheers
Hi love your videos, I think because it’s not just,to fix this you undo this or replace that, you kind of turn it into a story👍. We have the saying let the dog see the rabbit , well it looks like you have let Gus see the hare🐇🙃all the best👍🐝🌞
