Hey Keith, awesome job my friend.I totally hear ya,when we gotta do fixes to other contractors jobs.
When i shim to tile,i leave a little eight inch space,as opposed to butting shims against tile.I cut it a little heavy and tuck it to the floor. It makes for a nice finish, and that carpet will never come loose, and no strands showing in the future.
Cheers keith. We’re the last of the moehigans.LoL

Funny how America and Europe use totally different methods. We use double-face tape rather than tack strips to hold down the carpet, generally directly to the cement floor w/o pads. It's probably a lower level of comfort, but is it really perceptible (?).

Hi Keith Beautiful Work bud. Question as an installer myself in the Niagara Region, 21 Years at End Of The Roll, I was wondering why you wouldn't use a reducer at the Bathroom instead of the shims. I see you use Red Tape at the seams for Pad. Do you get call backs for the Crunch sound it makes over time. I've stopped using it all together lol. I have always used a kicker but recently I was convinced to buy the knee less Kicker but I cant get used to it, Any tips on it & the proper methods on using it the right way.. You do great work Man I enjoy watching your Vids. Beautiful work on the stairs as well.. Nice to watch guys that are local or in our case just down the QEW. LOL

Hey bud how’s it going! Yup we use the shims I’d love to see the reducer your talking about in action!!!
Stretcher is great but takes some time to get used to! Once you get the hang of it it’s as fast as anything! (Damn learning curve)😀😀😀🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙

What is the color of paint on those walls and where did you get it? Just putting finishing touches on drywall and have to pick out paint. I love this!

Whats the cost per sq ft for carpet. That install seems cheap. I am looking at carpet at $3.78 sq ft. For 22x14 room.
