I got a used Panasonic plasma business model in 2008 for like £500, the type that bars and such use and needs exernal speakers wired in, I dropped it in 2011 and insurance gave me a replacement (which cost about £2000) still looks amazing to this day but I never really use it as I went back to a 37" Toshiba crt with built in 5.1 and component video (so I use HDMI - component and connect to pc)

PDP displays where still the best great colors great blacks low input lag and you know the 600hz refresh rates where pretty dope (you can actually use a NES Zapper on a plasma aswell!) A shame people stopped buying them in favor for cheaper crappier LCD panels.

It will run like crap. RetroPie is not exactly optimized for the Pi4 yet and that's using native video modes the CAN take advantage of the video driver. This is using Lineage with a software renderer that is just about the minimum. There's no way that running RetroPie on top of that would be any better. Significantly worse than native which isn't great at the moment, at least on the Pi4.

Here's a question, how did you overclock your raspberry pi4, is there a useful setting from inside the system OS (like in OSMC)?
Or do you have to run some complicated linux command?
For future reference, it would be great if you could show this on each of these OS systems you've been showing us recently.
Looking forward to a constructive reply from you or the community.
    Thanks a million.

there is a file that stores the maximum frequency for your CPU, change tht file to what you want, and then there is another file which sets your current CPU Freq, change that, EVERYTHING IS A FILE!!!!
I dont know the files name, but I'm just saying it is easy to do it, just changing the numbers in 2 files, you should be able to search it (arch wiki is a great source)

This looks pretty cool, although I'd prefer a Kodi distro that seamlessly integrates various media (including games) from the one interface. Right now, using the HDHomerun, Plex, Emby, etc leads to a separate interface to look at things that SHOULD fall in the menus on Kodi (TV Shows, Movies, Live TV, etc.)

This looks pretty sweet, even in a beta form! Have the devs said anything about adding an airplay-like feature where you can mirror your computer screen or even cast a video to your TV? I've been trying to find a solution for that in an effort to be less Apple-oriented.

    • @godfather7339
