THANK YOU so much for this building review/preview! Honestly, the idea of having people leave blueprints about sounds really satisfying to me, as someone who often likes chill resource gathering, it would give me a sense of purpose. The lighting in this game really IS incredible.
@@kiitarie im sure not, but you still rocked it! i love some of the insight behind the design choices. really helps me understand the video better than just watching someone else make a thing, you know? like i get to peek behind the curtain :)
Not a lot of youtubers focus their pre-release content of this game around the building, but building is what I'm looking forward to the most. So thanks! Hope more is coming.
Great video! Can't wait to try this game, loved Valheim and have recently been hooked on Enshrouded. Loving these good survival games that have fantastic basebuilding :)
Just started last night and am building at the same spot. :D Maybe you can answer 2 questions I have: 1) Does the Cairn or any buildings prevent respawn of nearby resources? 2) How do you delete build items to get the resources back? Do you need the building hammer for that? Really loving your builds and the building styles, definitely looking forward to the Tudor one. And yes, the blueprint system is awesome. :D
I just finished my personal base on stream tonight in the Tudor! I love it :D I can answer those questions. The cairn prevents enemy spawns. Resources only respawn with either the regrowth spell or the Carnute (big blue guy) doing a spell in the area. Aaaand the build items can be deleted by going into build mode (x) and holding v.
@@MINT-bg4jdIt's never the exact spot, since all the maps are random generated. But all the maps have these little lakes with rivers. That's where you usually find the waterfalls too. They tend to look very much alike.
Watching this again cause it's great and I need my pre-release building-fix to dream away about what I'm going to build after it releases. And I've got a question: In the early parts of the video where you're building over a small river, it's so nice to see the water gushing through the pieces like a little bridge. This made me think about the last showcase we got a couple of days ago where they showed an in-door pool build in the Desert-style. I was just wondering if you know whether this is something you can make anywhere or if you have to build over a small lake and add foundations under and around the water so it looks like a pool?
Well, for one thing, thanks for watching again. You would need to build over a lake or on the coast or something like that. Have you seen the speedbuild I did of one of the late game tilesets? The set is called Stave.
@@kiitarie Good to know! Thanks! I did! Very peaceful! I personally see myself using the desert-style mostly (for the former Ottoman army officer I'm making), but I'll probably mix and match a little too like you talked about in this video.
I LOVE the desert set and it comes with way more pieces to choose from! IDK why it's a thing.. lol. There's so many unique pieces to the sets. @@pizzafacemcbride3582
great video! I have a couple questions. firstly how do you build up the blueprints so high with nothing to walk on? secondly can you explain supporting floors? might be a good topic in an advanced build guide. I thought it was similar to Conan, but im getting some very strange results where the left and right sides of a symmetrical room are behaving differently.
Oh, that's weird. You'd think a symmetrical room would be the same on both sides. To answer your bluerpint question. With much care and patience, aha. There's no special trick, I just stand there until I get the right angle on it. Support is a weird one, though. Walls on the upper floors need to be supported directly underneath. Pillars are all they need. You can sometimes get away with building out a blueprint with support and then deleting the support in blueprint form. It MAY stay. I'm still testing exactly when this stays. It's mostly okay to delete foundation support. Again, sometimes.
Just a question - can you "upgrade" your estate? For example, if I start with "shack" house and would like to turn it into "desert" mansion, can I just replace walls, floors etc. or do I have to manually delete previous ones and then place the new piece?

It's nice to set it all out so you know exactly how much you need!
LOVE this change of pace where you speak to us while you muck about building!! So well done, bravo!! ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you!! Appreciate you watching.
You know, since that one guy did... what he did... on my rug, it's really nice to know there will be buildables that can really tie a room together.

OMFG SO BEAUTIFUL! it's so nice to hear this as a review as much as a tutorial! I love videos like this!
Thanks. They are a lot harder for me to do, aha. Maybe one day it will be easier. The cold didn't help!

Unfortunately that is a manual operation. But I can forward this idea to the devs and see what they say, it's a brilliant suggestion!
@@kiitarie Thank you, I would very much appreciate that.

SHITFUCKYEAH Indeed! Thankyou
Wow, just wow. I think you might be the first to hit the building limit. Sub'ed
I DID!! It was a sad day.
I've hit the limit and I haven't built much!?!?!
Can you manipulate or alter the terrain?
No you can't

Is it the 20th YET?!?
It needs to be!
Great, just wish the game had singleplayer / offline gameplay.....
You can play in single-player all you want, just not offline :(
I'm way too excited for this game and it's all your fault.
So you should be. I am too!!
change the digital voice
Ahahha, that's my voice, my very sick voice. Couldn't change that no matter how much I wanted to in the moment 🤣
ok then ! :p
I am much better now, the next video won't sound as bad. I promise XD@@manoul71
