I meant to mention this in the video. It honestly depends on what map you are, in map 1 or 2 yes. In map 3, I have gone into limp mode a few times after using NGS
Every now and then but it really depends on how much boost you’re making. If you’re making above 26 psi across the power band then it’ll definitely slip here and there
@@RobTheNthusiast I got just over 40K just returned to Phoenix from Montana the Kona ran so nice did eco mode the whole way got a high in some areas 45.1 MPG but at 80 plus mph which is their speed limit got around 30 MPG.I wished that SCT or Diablosport would of done a hand held tuner for this car I have seen them used on a SRT4 and you can do alot with them from auto settings for octane to complete ECU tuning on the dyno in real time.
@@cindysue5474 nice, that’s really good MPGs! And yeah I do wish we had more tuning options aside from the typical KDM stuff. But the N Platform is still fairly new, and it’s in a time of ICE cars being replaced…so there’s that 😔
@@RobTheNthusiast indeed! I used them back in 2011 when I had my Optima SX. I believe they went by a different name back then though. They changed when I believe the Stinger came out. They do great work.
@@RobTheNthusiast nice! I plan to join this platform soon. Like I said I’m DD an explorer ST at the moment. Haven’t decided on the Kona N or the Elantra N quite yet.
@@Sn00t3r nice! I love the explorer st platform and would love to hop on that train someday lol. But as far as the N’s, I don’t think you could go wrong with either one. Only issue is that I don’t think they are building anymore Kona N’s, I think it’s just the Elantra N for the states now. Also, if you care about auto cruise control, the 2024 Elantra N now has that
Great video, Much appreciated!
Of course, thanks for the support 🔥💪🏽
Im currently using an Afe scorcher, max boost is 3psi over stock, im really considering getting a jb4.
Nice!! I definitely recommend getting JB4, definitely a lot more power to unlock with it
Does the NGS even work with the tune?

@KonaNthusiast does it cycle out?
@@klasseact6663 what do you mean by cycle out?
@@RobTheNthusiastturn the key off...key back on and it goes away
@@reyfuentes4572 ohh, yeah that’s pretty much all I had to do!
any dct slippage?

would you recommend upgrading the hpfp if just running map 2?
Oh yes, I’d recommend it with any amount of tuning.
0-60 with jb4?
There’s a few shorts on my channel of 0-60 with the JB4
How many miles you got on this now?
About 57k, I slowed down for a while but I’ve traveled a good bit these last few months so it’s starting to pick up fast again

But you've got the upgraded HPFP🤔
Yes I have the HPFP, the tune works really well with that now
@KonaNthusiast I thought you had the high pressure fuel pump before the JB4 piggyback🤔
@@klasseact6663 nah, I upgraded the HPFP after I started having issues with map 3 on JB4
I would go Lap3
For sure, LAP3 has some really solid tuning options out there
