    Great Info Brother! Learned a lot from you today! Guess my new Holley 4160 is a no no. No secondary metering block, Vacuum secondaries. There goes $400 out the door, but can sell it on Ebay or local car shows, drag strip functions. Appreciate how you broke it all down and made it easy to understand, Thanks! Cheers from Motown.

    That cleared up a lot for me! I’m in the middle of collecting parts for my boosted 5.3 build. I purchased a blow through carb from marketplace for $200. I didn’t realize it was a 800 until I got there but I still bought it thinking I could just re-sell it because it’ll be too big for my motor, I guess not lol! Appreciate the video.

    Iv been watching these videos trying to get all the information I can and want your opinion on if I’m going in the right direction, sbc 8.7 to 1, turbo cam, big 23 degree afr heads, around 550 na. Won’t see much street driving, here and there, not worried about fuel economy, pump gas racecar, s475, looking to make 8-900 on no more then 12-14 pounds, I’m thinking, the obvious floats, choke horn mill, vent tube ext etc, brpv primary, plugged pv secondary, set screw pvcr start with 3/32, my questions are 1- am I missing anything at that power level? 2- do I need to tune the emulsion circuit holes? Should I just Plug them? If so on both the front and back block? 3- I haven’t tapped the air bleed holes for set screws yet where will I run into problems if I’m mostly racing wot? Do I need to worry about them as much or will I run into problems being too rich, but then can’t I bring down the secondary’s? I’m new to all this and trying to do it all myself so I appreciate any and all help lol

    • @tittan1500
      @tittan1500  2 года назад +1

      Lots of builders plug the emulsions, makes it simple and increases draw on the circuit. At that power level it would be easier to run dual powervalves and get it on the brake.
      But you can always try one as your not really looking for the best street manners. Make a change at a time and stay safe on timing until you get the fuel curve sorted
      Good luck
