I’m excited to see this because I’m working on a 69 Ford with a 302 and I’m thinking of doing a turbo setup on it not 100% sure if I’m going to do it now or later down the road
Is it possible to make a small engine carb like a Keihin PWK 26mm a blow through carb? I’ve seen one video where I guy did it to a mini bike but doesn’t talk about the jetting. He says that he just blocks off a couple of “vents”. Are you willing to explain this? I’m going to continue to watch your videos on carbs for cars but small engine carbs would also be cool.
Iv herd of ya and I like carbs i think there as good or better then fuel injection especially if there tuned right and the ignition is set up properly the vehicle should run with optimum performance and efficiency
John and I have been friends for years...back when he was running True Street/Real Street I was his crew guy (official spark plug changer and golf cart driver - lol) at all those races. ...if you scroll WAY back on my channel there's videos of John (and Bryan) dating back to 2011
Yeah I ran fuel injection and timing with it previously...so i just removed the FI side and left the timing controlled with it. That same unit has been in my cars since 2013!
The boost referenced is backwards from a regular PV. A normal PV is open by default and vacuum holds it closed...a boost referenced is held closed by the spring and the boost in the fuel bowl "pushes" it open. So you don't want vacuum (or boost) in the body side.
Good video👍Nice, clean and simple mods.

Guy in Austraila makes those power valves . Sell to simple stage . Also scs carburetor makes a better one.

So I get the basic just of blow threw carbs but what about that old school shit wear u put the carb in a box on the intake
Hello, i saw the microsquirt next to your solid state relay are you using it to control your timing?? Cheers from california🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻

So how does the power valve get its signal?
Vacuum it depends on what size you are running to how much vacuum to close it
But you blocked off the hole that provides the signal

@@1fastpickup thanks for explaining this it makes sense to me better now
Get a shotgun microphone, very hard to hear you. Watching this, going to do blow through card single turbo myself on a street truck.
yeah sorry about the sound. I just started doing these and the built-in iPhone mic is not cutting it - lol
