Yes, the nostalgia is incredible, but it’s to show that the people the characters were back then are still the same people.. they’re just older, with a greater understanding of the world, more mature experiences.. they aged with us and I’m so thankful for that

I saw an interview in where Miranda said that the show was made for the original fans of iCarly. The fans are old enough now to see those things and other issues mentioned in the show, along with the cast.
I love the revival so much. I'm the same age as the characters and I'm enjoying a light hearted, sitcom approach to a show playing with this stage of life. Shows normally take a bit more of a dramatic approach. This is so fun!

this show is honestly the PINNICALE for how to do a revival right when tapping into the show's core audience. For once its Disney whose sitting on the sidelines looking like an idiot with the way they blew it bringing back Lizzie McGuire while I know Raven specifically requested Raven's Home appeal more towards children so i guess that gets a pass.
I kinda like that it's not a kids show. Since everyone who watched the original show as a kid are grown up now and the cast are adults now too. And it's not just another reboot, it's altered for the grown-ups to enjoy. I especially love the episode "iTake a Girl's Trip" because it's so chaotic.

The new iCarly is not a kids show anymore, it grew along with us. I watched the iCarly in Nick since Season 1 and I am still binge watching it, and also am watching the new iCarly to get the nostalgic vibe for both iCarly shows

I’m glad they didn’t go too far, it is a bit edgier but if it were to be given an mpaa rating it would be a mild pg-13 just for some suggestive bits. The language is mild, and I’m happy they didn’t push it any further, I watch it with my daughter who loves the original. Cobra Kai is an example of a show that came from family friendly beginnings and while great, is a rough watch for family viewing with tons of language that verges on R rated territory
